Technically I've had an account on here since its birth soooo...

Still, Brawl made me make a new account. Start off fresh, y'know?

I made an account in 07 but I forgot my user name, so I just decided to make a new one a few days ago.

I've been playing the Super Smash Bros. series since it's Nintendo 64 release.

I only decided to make an account tonight because I was bored, and figured it could come in handy.

Well I started to get more serious about Smash, and I wanted to better myself in the game, also it's summer so I have a good time to use, so I decided best time to sign up would be as summer comes, I was planning to join earlier in the year but..yeah. I had played Melee, but I didnt own it, I would always go to a friends to play it or something of the sort, so looking for a forum didnt seem relevant at the time, but now that I am going to buy Melee myself, and also play Brawl more and wanted to get better, I just joined.

I wasnt serious about smash till some time before brawl, and I thought it would be easier to discuss Brawl when Brawl is released - Hence the '08 join date.

Two things:

-I was interested in what the new tier list was possibly going to be, searches led me here, and further searches led me to the tier discussion.

-I wanted to know how to play Sonic better. Though the Sonic section would be a tad bit more helpful if we could actually get all the spam out.

A friend of mine who's been a member for some time told me about it so I came and made an account because he kept bugging me about it. But this was before Brawls release so all he talked about was what the people here were predicting for Brawl, like Final Smashes an what not.

Although I joined in January I didn't become very active until I started maining Olimar.

Oh and SmashBrother2008, props on the post and sig made of win, anyone who says "I Second. that" wins. And I herd Sakurai beat the top MetaKnight player with Bowser. Lulz.

I joined in 2007 but I guess that's close enough. I was actually a member when Melee came out years ago. I was young, and excited about forums, and SSB. But when I got here and realized how serious and competitive the topics wher, I shyed (shied?) away. Back then, I preferred topics like "Who's your favorite Smash caracter" and "Best New B move", while the topics here were "SH WDing Fox" and "Teching with Jigglypuff"...out of my league.

But I never truely left...just never posted. I would come back and read the topics and learn from them. Then, as Brawl was approaching, I registered (agin) in late fall of 2007 (remember, we all just knew SSBB was coming out in the US on Dec 3rd). By this time my mindset had changed. Granted, I'm still a sucker for these "best of..." and "Top 10 Favorite" topics, but now I preferred the serious topics.

Which is f*ck*ng ironic. Cruel, even. When I came here years ago for the "newb" topics, there weren't any. Now I've matured, and want the "pro" topics, and those are very rare compared to the never-ending "newb" topics. Typical.

Was searching for a matchup list and some advice.

Did only play melee for about 5 hours gametime and then started brawl when me and my brother bought a wii 2 months ago, and as i wanted to beat him quickly and get a good advantaged, i searched for some character guides. Found this site and lurked for 2 months, now decided to register, even though i hate being one of the "new people" =)

Hi guys.
