Snow is ****ing Amazing

So, East-Coast people. Biggest blizzard since 1926 going on right now. How amazing is that?

I was just out measuring, I already have a foot and a half outside my house. And its suppossed to be going strong until 10 PM tomorrow. For Washington D.C., this is saying a LOT.

All I can say is, this is going to be one of the best weeks of my life. Messing around with my friends tomorrow, going skiing Sunday/Monday, getting a second storm Tuesday/Wednesday... life doesn't get much better than this. And to top it all off, seniors have a set graduation date, so my summer break won't get pushed back.

The storm isn't supposed to hit where I am (southern NH). Supposedly we have a warm front that will kill the blizzard/push it out to the ocean. Not gonna lie, I kinda wish we were getting snowed in.

Our town got about 2 inches of snow last week which was barely enough to get me out of school. I was pretty happy until this one girl from my class told me she had a couple feet of snow in her town and was getting more every 10 minutes. I was so jealous! Still , it was the first time i had pegged somebody with a snowball in 2 years. So i was content with my snow. I still have one saved in the freezer (smiles evilly)...

Too goodz, lol. Gonna be a much welcomed break from business for me, that's for sure...and I'll get to spend time with my family since they're surely not leaving tomorrow.

Hopefully the power doesn't go out on me though...I've got online work to complete, lol.

We got nothing yet here in northeast PA, so the '93 blizzard still beats this one for me ^_^

I always used to love snowstorms, but it's a lot less fun after you graduate imo... now it's like great... I have to shovel/get to work/go to class in this ****

Snow's fun unless you have to deal with it, like shoveling or getting it off your car. It's pretty, but a hassle. Iowa got a lot of snow, I think I'm tired of it.

Seriously though congrats for getting the snow you seem to love it.

Yeah.

Visibility is a quarter of a mile (maybe even less), the snow is coming down rapidly, and I can barely walk in it. It's really windy out as well.

Its threads like these that make me hate Florida. Seriously. I have never seen snow in all my life. I envy you guys. Having snow days and getting out of school for that is a myth here in Florida. The only times we've ever gotten out of school has been for hurricanes and 3 days because one of the people in school got the swine flu... Why does it have to be me that lives in a state so close to the equator :'(

don't sweat it. i know it sucks but hey, Florida has a beach. Arkansas does not. Also, this is the first time i've had snow in 2 years. and we got like an inch. so Florida has it's advantages too. Personally Florida sounds fun to me.

To be fair, I made this thread at midnight last night. I was too tired to realize there might be another snow thread that wasn't on the front page.

Besides, there isn't a thread for this historic storm besides this one, AFAIK.

do yu know how high 3 feet is? masure so you can get a good visual then imaggine looking out ypur front window and seeing this guy try to drive through it on the one way street in front of your house.

I'm not surprised it's that high where you are. Similar situation happened here in Laurel, and we still haven't dug out the car yet. (Still have to shovel by myself...lol)
