living in canada your whole life its like... snow.. again... reeeeaaally?

i just want it to all be gone because me not having car + snow = walking everywhere in snow.
I totally know what you mean by that. Just change 'Canada' to 'Finland' and it's exactly my thoughts.

But I love snow anyway.

Eh. I'm not in Chicago but I don't want a snow day. Just means more days to makeup.

Won't matter next year though, 'cuz I'll be a Senior. xD

I'm not surprised it's that high where you are. Similar situation happened here in Laurel, and we still haven't dug out the car yet. (Still have to shovel by myself...lol)

And looky what's coming to North and Central MD:
That all? NoVA just got hit with nearly three feet (like you) and we have another 10-20 inches coming in tonight/tomorrow!

Good to see you're enjoying the weather, Pliskin!

I'd rather go to school than have to deal with more of this ****. I almost broke my back while shoveling and busted my *** on some ice. All while frostbitten in my hands and feet. Snow was fun like 8 years ago but when ya gotta shovel and drive in this **** you begin to hate it with a passion :/

Has anyone ever heard of any snow day rituals? There are some weird ones, like wearing pajamas inside out, sleeping with a spoon under your pillow, and flushing ice cubes down the toilet. Who thinks of these lol?

Really wish I could see a storm of over 10 inches again.

Pretty sure we haven't seen anything like that in 10 years or more. It's funny that Dallas, Texas actually got that, and we didn't...

But we did have the first blizzard in recorded history where I live this last Christmas Eve. It was soooo awesome! It was 9 - 10 inches in the end. That was actually the highest amount in several years itself.

It has been a good winter anyway. Considering the fact that we've only hit 60 degrees (and only got up to around 62) twice since winter officially started, this is a winter I can approve of. Those 60 degrees days happened literally the day before the big winter storms. (That's Oklahoma for you.)

We would get a ton more snow if our winters actually stayed cold. But as I said I can approve of this winter. Those "warm" days were nothing compared to the last two to three years where it got up into the 80s on occasion during the middle of winter. Fail, I know. In 2006 it was 93 degrees on March 1st. In 2008 it was 85 degrees on December 26th. (my birthday. T_T) There's just no escaping the heat here. I hate it.

So the fact that we had that blizzard, and the fact that the snow was still on the ground for nearly a month couldn't be anymore shocking. Last winter's "big snow storm" completely melted in less than 24 hours because it was in the 70s the next day.

Meh, I'd rather the "warmth" hold off. Once the "warmth" is here it'll be in the 80s, 90s, and 100s in no time.

I really don't mind snow, but two snow days here is getting me worried about my AP class. I feel as if we're not gonna make the day of the exam. I wish it would snow, just not enough for two whole snow days. I don't know, but I like the way snow falls to the ground. It just gets me.
