This might be the first tournament I'll attend. I'm not going to compete and just want to play some friendlies. So how do you go about finding players of equal skill level? And does giving out advice to low level players like me and playing against them feel like a waste of time to you pros?

Stabby, people of all sorts of skill levels attend. You may as well just try to play everyone. Even if you get crushed mercilessly by some, you'll probably run into someone who's around your level. And while some people don't give you advice, you'll probably meet someone that will hang around with you (if you're cool) that'll give you some tips. Basically just play and meet as many people as you can. You'll get tips, possibly find a new friend, and get a lot of experience with a lot of different playstyles.

LMAO @ Kasumi's being on some gay friendly type tip!

Blowin' kisses at dudes while they playing melee, looking at the screen, not seeing that sh*t.

These dudes kill me, son!

Nah man no one really acts like that besides Alex Triad LOL. jk Triad. Like Kasumi said, just play everyone, it's fun to get destroyed if you want to play Melee seriously b/c you realize that you will start to do that to people in time.
