Nintendo Floats

Like Poke Floats in our world, but with Nintendo Consoles. I couldn't include all the consoles I wanted in the picture, but you get the general idea. Takes place in an outer space background.

Consoles that are part of stage include: NES (Famicom in Japan), SNES (Super Famicom in Japan), N64, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Switch, Virtual Boy, Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, DS, and 3DS. Controllers also included for NES, SNES, Gamecube, and Wii.

For music I was thinking something like this.

I was surprised to see Pneuma get more support than I expected last time around. That was cool to see.

But yeah, I think it’s time we get some of those odder, less obvious, -esc inclusions. Being a blend of Pyra and Mythra, Pneuma would have elements from both.

Job 75: Bald Bull (Punch-Out!!)

Well, I guess we don't have a Punch-Out assist trophy yet, so I'll give the nod to Bald Bull this time. He could come out throwing some basic, strong punches but eventually grow frustrated and charge forward. If he hits an opponent with his iconic Bull Rush, then they are dealt heavy knockback akin to a Final Smash and likely get KOed. But in the face of danger, Bald Bull can also be countered by a swift punch to the gut with the right timing. If his weak spot is hit before he can land his finishing blow, he will crumble to the ground.

Job 77: Waddle Dee (Kirby)

This is a gamble, but I want to throw it out there - we haven't really set a hard definition for what a clone means here, and I want to draw attention to the simple, resource light implementation of Jigglypuff over the years. In Smash 64, I would argue that it was effectively fulfilling this role as was Luigi. There's a lot that Kirby does that a Waddle Dee could do also, any basic attacks and animations involving stubby hands and big round feet. Its special attacks would be different than Kirby's, but could be on the more basic and silly side. The major perk here is simply that Waddle Dee is such a simple character in essence, that I feel it would have development time comparable to that of a more derivative clone... which again, we have some concrete evidence of in Smash with Jigglypuff.

If you guys don't think this works though, I can switch it over to a Chrom nomination. If anyone throws him into the ring I'll probably endorse that too.

The Stretchers
I bet you don't remember this one. A 2019 eshop title actually published by Nintendo. A puzzle game in which you just use a stretcher to save civilians while getting around the rag doll psychics. They'll appear on the stage and act as an extra platform, allowing fighters to bounce into the air.

I did include him as an alt, but as the submitted of that costume set, if this wins if be willing to go back and and change that. I think with the at the time recent re-release of Pikmin 3 and Pikmin 4 being in development, this makes a lot of sense. He'd be able to use some different Pikmin in his moveset. I did consider Dark Samus, but I want to do things different than Smash, even if that means Metroid will have to wait for more characters.

I think two variants of the Marth style moveset is nice to have, and Chrom is also a popular character in Awakening. Waddle Dee as a Jigglypuff type of character would be interesting to see, and it would give us a playable mook, which is currently absent.

Alph is a fine enough choice, but a bit boring. I was considering doing something a little wacky and nominating like, Brittany instead - but I think for now I'm gonna have to bench a Pikmin clone. I made my case for Waddle Dee, a sorta clone sorta not, so we will see if people consider this to be a fair nomination. Chrom explains himself quite well, and I had him in mind too. I think he's the biggest no brainer here, while Pneuma is still an idea that I can kinda dig as a more centralized character if you don't want to concern yourself with stance change antics and more extreme strengths and weaknesses.

Funky is cool and all, but before Diddy... it just wouldn't feel right, clone or otherwise. Toy Link is alright but not that compelling to me, Min Min straight up just doesn't work as a Dr. Coyle derivative seeing how many wacky things Coyle specifically has going on for herself. Would be a different story if it was someone like Spring Man being spun off of, like my Waddle Dee pitch you could at least keep a lot of the basic animations and move concepts, but Coyle is another story and I don't think it really works.
