In terms of fighters, I liked the lineup overall. We have most of the major players in addition to some nice curveballs. The only characters that I’d probably change are Sami and Pneuma for maybe Fox/Ness and Toy Link. Pokemon Trainer and Aegis together are a little jarring at forst glance, but they are cool ideas, and Pokemon Trainer and Aegis have been the best implementations of a transforming fighter in the actual series. One other thing that I liked was the gender balance with this roster. In terms of stages, the stage selection was creative overall, and I think that I would have replaced Brinstar with a more original stage. For DLC, I think my biggest want is to have a few curveball picks and not have it just being heavy hitters. Like Melee, there are a few heavy hitters missing, and they’ll probably join the DLC roster (Wario, Diddy Kong, Ganon(dorf), Meta Knight, and Charizard/Mewtwo/Lucario for starters), and I think we strike a balance.
