I love coming up with game ideas that will probably never exist, it's a very fulfilling hobby, if you ask me. From fighting game rosters to new entries in iconic series to new ip all together, it's just fun stretching your creative muscles and pitching a hypothetical game.

You probably feel a similar way if you frequent the Smashboards Creates threads, mostly. Most of these threads are about building a single game with others, which is great and a lot of fun! But sometimes you just wanna throw out a fully formed game idea and see how people respond.

So, I thought it'd be interesting to do something like a game jam, but for imaginary game ideas, no programming required! Just your thoughts and words!

Here's how this'll work, every week or so I'll provide a GAME PITCH CHALLENGE! These are game idea prompts that'll range in specificity, size, tone, realism, and genre. I hope to make every challenge a fun surprise, and I hope you like what's down the line.

You'll have a week to pitch your game, and you can post it whenever you want during that timeframe. No harm if you wanna wing it a few hours into the challenge, or wait until last minute to post your perfected idea. You can also feel free to be as detailed as you want, or just share a few vague ideas or a roster tied to the concept. All submissions count, no matter the detail.

At the end of the week, we'll all spend a day or two voting on our favorite pitch, the best one being highlighted right here on the first page! After that, I'll provide a new challenge, and we'll start all over again!

1. You may only pitch one game per challenge round, and the pitch may only exist within a single post, no splitting one game in multiple posts.
2. This is a space for imaginary and hypothetical games, in the rare event you're a programming wiz who can cook up a whole game demo in a week, please refrain from doing such a thing, making a real game for these challenges is not allowed, your pitch will be disqualified.
3. You are however, allowed to create logos, graphs, roster images, etc. For your pitch if you so desire.
4. No time extensions. If you're behind on a pitch we will not delay the voting process to allow you in, sorry.
5. Be civil, no complaining if your pitch doesn't win a round, and no dissing other submissions. Constructive criticism and discussion will be allowed during the voting rounds, but only if it remains civil.

With all that said and done let's just jump into it with our inaugural challenge!

CHALLENGE 1:
"Smash Bros. Spinoff"

Starting things off with familiar ground, your pitch may be any genre whatsoever, as long as it's NOT a platform fighter. Anything else goes, have fun!

Challenge ends in a week!

Super Smash Dolls
Using a more literal Toy Story-style aesthetic based on Smash 64's intro, Super Smash Dolls is based around customisation and having the largest Smash roster possible, through near-strictly cosmetic chraracters. There are 10 character classes, most resembling an existing Smash character, all with enough custom specials to fill out an entire Smash game's worth.
  1. Mario - "Brawler"
  2. Mii Gunner - "Gunner"
  3. Marth - "Swordfighter"
  4. Sheik - "Swift"
  5. Incineroar - "Wrestler"
  6. Ike - "Axe"
  7. Villager - "Actor"
  8. Jigglypuff - "Ball"
  9. No close comparison - "Quadruped"
  10. Almost Mewtwo like, but not exactly - "Eerie"
Each skin - of which there are more than even Ultimate's Spirit list - is tied to a certain few classes (for example, Ness could be under Brawler, Swordfighter, Gunner, Eerie, and Actor simultaniously, though Gunner is treated as his default), and those characters have unique props whenever needed (for instance, if gunner equips a "freezing" move, it would encase foes in ice as Samus, but encase foes in an ink trap as Marie). They all have a default stat set (for example, Jigglypuff would be a speedy lightweight under "Ball", but Jill & Drill Dozer would be a slow heavyweight with the Ball moves) and special moveset, but this will gotten to later. Extra or missing limbs such as tails, wings, or Goomba's lack of arms, will add new normals, but those are not unique to characters.

The stages are designed to look like playsets, but aren't exactly literal, there's no books in the background or anything like that, they still exist within a replica of the original game worlds (imagine a Castle Greyskull toy with all its plastic imperfections, but it exists in the He-Man world, not on a shelf). All stages are also reskin-based, with a much larger set of simple stage layouts that come in various skins. Those layouts are the hazards-off versions of
  1. Final Destination
  2. Battlefield
  3. Smashville
  4. Temple
  5. Peach's Castle 64
  6. Hyrule Castle
  7. Kongo Jungle 64
  8. Kongo Falls
  9. Gaur Plain 3DS
  10. Fourside
  11. Tomodachi Life
  12. Distant Planet
  13. Bridge of Eldin
  14. Big Battlefield
  15. Small Battlefield
  16. Venom
  17. Suzaku Castle
  18. Mushroom Kingdom 2
  19. Windy Hill Zone
  20. Reset Bomb Forest Phase 1
  21. Mementos
Each layout may or may not add some kind of hazard, platform movement, or extra platform (for example, Battlefield could have variants with Whispy wind, FOD movement, Brinstar Lava, or Randall among others)

All skins are avaliable from the start, but there are some major unlockables - at first each skin is treated as a rigid character with unmalleable properties, but you gain the ability to mix and match heads, torsos, limbs, stats, proportions, moves, weapons, move props/effects, and even stage hazards as you play more, as well as extra classes for skins that support multiple.

There are no third parties.

Super Smash Beats - A Nintendo Rhythm Game.

Smash is known for its great compilation of music both new & old so a Rhythm game would be a good fit imo (timely now with NSO music app too)

I picture the gameplay & presentation being similar to the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy games with some minor tweaks to set itself apart (honestly dont have any specifics in mind). I do think it would be fun to maybe have some bonus unlockable songs that change up the presentation & become full out wacky music videos similar to Yakuza / Like a Dragons Karaoke.

Game will have main story mode to unlock playable sprites & songs, each world would have 5-8 songs & a boss fight.

Super Smash Crashers
A vehicular combat game, think something like Playstaion's Twisted Metal. Iconic Nintendo characters battle it out in themed vehicles and arenas based on their famous Nintendo franchises.

Gameplay
Inspired by smash itself, the goal of this game is to damage your opponents vehicle enough in order to be able to knock them off the arena, though there will also be a more traditional damage based mode. There will be extra modes including Capture the smash Ball, Team Knock-Out Match (no death here), and a sports mode inspired by Rocket League where players must knock a ball into a net to score goals while other characters attack and attempt to stop you. There will also be customizable matches similar to Smash. There are of course a number of items which can be found on the arenas.

Items
  • Super Mushroom
  • Super Star
  • Bomb-Omb
  • Pow Block
  • Heart Container
  • Deku Nut
  • Maxim Tomato
  • Smart Bomb
  • Pitfall
  • Franklin Badge
  • Boomarang
  • Bumper
  • Sticky Bomb

Roster
  1. Mario [Vehicle based on a classic Mario Kart, but souped up]
  2. Luigi [Vehicle based on the Poltergust]
  3. Peach [Vehicle based on a royal carriage]
  4. Bowser [Vehicle based on his muscle car from 3D World]
  5. Yoshi [Vehicle based on a Yoshi Egg]
  6. Wario [Vehicle is his bike, but kitted out]
  7. Donkey Kong [Vehicle based on a minecart]
  8. King K. Rool [Vehicle based on a pirate ship]
  9. Link [Vehicle based on Epona]
  10. Zelda [Vehicle based on a dragon from TOTK]
  11. Ganondorf [Vehicle based on a his classic pig appearance]
  12. Samus [Vehicle based on her ship]
  13. Kirby [Vehicle based on the Warpstar]
  14. Meta Knight [Vehicle based on the Halberd]
  15. Pikachu [Vehicle based on a Poké Ball]
  16. Mewtwo [Vehicle based on the ZERO-ONE]
  17. Fox [Vehicle based on the Great Fox]
  18. Captain Falcon [Vehicle is the Blue Falcon]
  19. Ness [Vehicle based on the Psycho Car enemy]
  20. Marth [Original Vehicle based on a Dragon]
  21. Byleth [Original Vehicle based on a medieval horse and kart]
  22. Pit [Vehicle based on the Lightning Chariot]
  23. Olimar & Pikmin [Vehicle based on the Hocotate]
  24. Villager [Vehicle based on the Streetlefrom MK8]
  25. Isabelle [Vehicle based on Kapp'n's Bus]
  26. Shulk [Vehicle based on a Mechon Carrier]
  27. Inkling [Vehicle based on the Splat Buggy]
  28. Wii Fit Trainer [Vehicle based on the Wii]
  29. Min-Min [Vehicle based on a Ramon cup]
  30. R.O.B. [Unlockable. Is his own Vehicle]

Arenas
  1. Peach's Castle
  2. Luigi's Mansion
  3. Yoshi's Island
  4. Kongo Jungle
  5. Hyrule Temple
  6. Dream Land
  7. Pokémon Stadium
  8. Brinstar
  9. Corneria
  10. Onett
  11. Mute City

As Fire Emblem is one of my favorite franchises, I’ll go with a Nintendo SRPG series, and I’ll give a class to each playable character. Bowser, Ganondorf, Rildey, and DJ Octavio will be non-playable bosses.

Mario - Commander (effectively Lord)
Luigi - Soldier
Yoshi - Soldier Tier 2
Kirby - Flier
Inkling - Gunner
Link - Swordsman
Donkey Kong - Brute
Little Mac - Brute
Isabelle - Healer
Pikachu - Speedster
Ness - Mage
Fox McCloud - Gunner
Marth -Swordsman
Pit - Flier
Villager - Support
Diddy Kong - Speedster
Shulk - Swordsman
Samus Aaran - Gunner Tier 2
Olimar - Soldier
Meta Knight - Swordsman Tier 2
King Dedede - Hammer Wielder Tier 2
Rosalina - Mage Tier 2
Edelgard - Brute Tier 2
Princess Peach - Healer Tier 2
Princess Zelda - Mage (She’d play the same role that Nino plays, which is the “Est” character)
Wario - Brute Tier 2

Super Smash Taisen!
A tactical RPG concept using Smash as the base. Refer to games like Super Robot Wars, Gensou Shoujo Taisen, Battle Moon Wars and similar. The game has 3 routes, each one represented by a "route leader", since technically the protagonist is a Mii Avatar you make at the start, but the story follows more one of these three characters being Mario, Link and Kirby, they are not exactly exclusive of one route but they have more prominence and exclusive moments in their respective routes.

Due the nature of the game, the roster size is noticeable larger than Smash games, but it's also less variate in terms of franchises, limiting to mostly use Nintendo series with 5 exceptions. It might be too tedious to list all the characters so I'll just mention some of the most worth it.

SUPER MARIO BROS.
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA
KIRBY
POKÉMON
METROID
DONKEY KONG
FIRE EMBLEM
XENOBLADE
EARTHBOUND
F-ZERO
STAR FOX
KID ICARUS
SPLATOON
SONIC
MEGA MAN
STREET FIGHTER
TEKKEN
FINAL FANTASY
*Super Mario Bros. also collects Yoshi and Wario on its umbrella.

The game would basically be Subspace Emissary 2.0, thought with actual dialogue (not spoken, but dialogue) and the story would introduce more elements of their origin series rather than all of them just coexisting in a generic world. The premise would be that the vilain made all the worlds collide thought in the collision the minds of everyone were altered so they think the world was always like that.

CHALLENGE 1:
"Smash Bros. Spinoff"

Starting things off with familiar ground, your pitch may be any genre whatsoever, as long as it's NOT a platform fighter. Anything else goes, have fun!

Challenge ends in a week!
Oh, damn, can't believe I missed this! Let's go for...

Nintendo Puzzle League!
A competitive tile-based puzzle game that's deliberately both a spin-off of Super Smash Bros. in concept, while also being a new title in the Puzzle League / Panel de Pon / Tetris Attack series (which has itself seen a lot of Nintendo reskins over the years, from Tetris Attack's Yoshi cameos all the way to the bonus Animal Crossing Puzzle League in Amiibo Festival!)

Puzzle League has tiles move upward from the bottom of the screen, which can be cleared with the use of a controllable cursor that switches the position of tiles already in play. You can also attain chain-combos with strategic clears, which can allow you to send garbage tiles over to your opponent's screen! Mechanically, Nintendo Puzzle League's big distinguishing feature is that each character possesses a unique ability of some kind called a Smash Attack, which can only be used by building up your score - and, in turn, your Smash Meter. When full, you can use it to affect the fields of play, either aiding yourself or harming your enemy! (Some of these work like the Item Blocks introduced in Planet Puzzle League.)

Notably, this game would play into the crossover element by having characters interact in the centre of the screen, in a manner similar to Puyo Puyo Fever! or Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. Their actions and emotions depend on the actions you or your opponent takes during gameplay, essentially doing battle - but with all characters being redesigned into a Super-Deformed style to fit a little better together in this deliberately fun, offbeat setting. As such, characters would probably do battle with deliberately much less serious attacks - Link, for instance, could toss all kinds of different items at his enemies, Zelda might use a staff that transmutes to take on the effects of different magic Rods, or the Squid Sisters might exclusively attack with dancing moves and stage equipment!

The game's Story Mode, perhaps less outright exciting than the stories of the mainline Smash series, helps to maintain this kind of vibe. It's a simple matter - after Lip, reigning champion of the Puzzle League, sends out invitations to prospective challengers from across the galaxy, a series of puzzle battles take place all over the universe to figure out who's going to come out on top!

The game's launch roster might be on the smaller side, but it can easily be added to with free updates over time - whether they introduce new characters, board styles, or even new modes! For the sake of argument, I'll be conservative here and deliberately not include any third-party stuff, or anything involving historical "second-party" partners (so no Kirby, Fire Emblem, Pokemon, etc).

Mario

A starting roster of 28 characters in a puzzle game? That's pretty extensive! Especially if we imagine each one as having their own series-specific appearances for tiles, or each series having a couple of unique backgrounds for the story mode - not to mention the possibilities of each character's powerful Smash Attack. Of course, free updates over time could introduce new characters in existing series - like Rosalina, Tom Nook, and Ganondorf, new first-party series to play with, like Donkey Kong, F-Zero and Sin & Punishment, or even new second-party series like Kirby, Fire Emblem and Pokemon!

Alright folks, time to wrap up on submissions, cuz it's time to enter the voting phase!

For now, these'll work like typical votes in other threads, though that may change in future challenges.

Vote for your top three! You may not include your own pitch whatsoever. The winning pitch will be immortalized at the top of this page.

In addition, you are heavily encouraged to give constructive criticism, commentary, and discussion on the pitches and the challenge itself during this period.

And now, without further ado, the submissions:

Would start to dip into third parties in DLC but I'm not planning on detailing that.
As Fire Emblem is one of my favorite franchises, I’ll go with a Nintendo SRPG series, and I’ll give a class to each playable character. Bowser, Ganondorf, Rildey, and DJ Octavio will be non-playable bosses.

Mario - Commander (effectively Lord)
Luigi - Soldier
Yoshi - Soldier Tier 2
Kirby - Flier
Inkling - Gunner
Link - Swordsman
Donkey Kong - Brute
Little Mac - Brute
Isabelle - Healer
Pikachu - Speedster
Ness - Mage
Fox McCloud - Gunner
Marth -Swordsman
Pit - Flier
Villager - Support
Diddy Kong - Speedster
Shulk - Swordsman
Samus Aaran - Gunner Tier 2
Olimar - Soldier
Meta Knight - Swordsman Tier 2
King Dedede - Hammer Wielder Tier 2
Rosalina - Mage Tier 2
Edelgard - Brute Tier 2
Princess Peach - Healer Tier 2
Princess Zelda - Mage (She’d play the same role that Nino plays, which is the “Est” character)
Wario - Brute Tier 2
Super Smash Taisen!
A tactical RPG concept using Smash as the base. Refer to games like Super Robot Wars, Gensou Shoujo Taisen, Battle Moon Wars and similar. The game has 3 routes, each one represented by a "route leader", since technically the protagonist is a Mii Avatar you make at the start, but the story follows more one of these three characters being Mario, Link and Kirby, they are not exactly exclusive of one route but they have more prominence and exclusive moments in their respective routes.

Due the nature of the game, the roster size is noticeable larger than Smash games, but it's also less variate in terms of franchises, limiting to mostly use Nintendo series with 5 exceptions. It might be too tedious to list all the characters so I'll just mention some of the most worth it.

SUPER MARIO BROS.
THE LEGEND OF ZELDA
KIRBY
POKÉMON
METROID
DONKEY KONG
FIRE EMBLEM
XENOBLADE
EARTHBOUND
F-ZERO
STAR FOX
KID ICARUS
SPLATOON
SONIC
MEGA MAN
STREET FIGHTER
TEKKEN
FINAL FANTASY
*Super Mario Bros. also collects Yoshi and Wario on its umbrella.

The game would basically be Subspace Emissary 2.0, thought with actual dialogue (not spoken, but dialogue) and the story would introduce more elements of their origin series rather than all of them just coexisting in a generic world. The premise would be that the vilain made all the worlds collide thought in the collision the minds of everyone were altered so they think the world was always like that.

  1. Super Smash Crashers (Vehicular combat seems like a really fun approach for this kind of thing, and the various modes and even vehicles that got suggested really suggests to me a pretty funky take on the game. I especially like R.O.B just driving himself. That's fun.)
  2. Super Smash Beats (Hardly a concept I'd have come up with, but still a really decent one given the vast amount of music there'd be to pull from. It'd be nice to see a focus on arrangements with something like this - my mind flits to DDR: Mario Mix to a certain extent, which... come to think of it, would be a really funny point of inspiration. Shoutout to the idea that popped into my head of Sephiroth doing a silly dance to One Winged Angel.)
  3. Super Smash Dolls (This honestly gives me a vision of something like a better take on LEGO Brawls, and I think the idea of focusing so heavily on customisation absolutely lends to something pretty interesting! Though, it does maybe run the risk of people optimising to find the absolute best doll to fight with, then just exclusively using that? Still a really cool concept, though.)
I'd also give shoutouts to the Nintendo SRPG and Super Smash Taisen concepts, though. I think the concepts themselves are a lot of fun on the face of it, I just genuinely couldn't decide which one to go with. (I nearly went with a loosely similar concept myself, but didn't want to oversaturate the genre.)

MartianSnake MartianSnake , I thought we had until Wednesday to submit
Sorry for any confusion, I intended to start voting phases on Mondays and new challenges on Tuedays. Again, sorry if my phrasing got things mixed up.

If I made any more direct mistakes that would lead to that conclusion, please point me out to them, and I'll edit to correct them.

In addition, this is still in early testing phases, so if you'd rather future challenges work differently let me know. This goes for anyone reading this

Alright everyone, Tuesday has arrived; I believe it's time to tally up the votes.

Super Smash Taisen (1 point)
Super Smash Beats (2 points)
Nintendo SRPG (2 points)
Super Smash Kart (3 points)
Nintendo Puzzle League (5 points)
Super Smash Dolls (5 points)
Super Smash Crashers (12 points)

With a whopping 12 points, Super Smash Crashers takes the crown as our first ever winning pitch! Congratulations, D darkvortex !

Next up is another challenge!

CHALLENGE 2:

Pitch a Tetris game... with a twist.

Now that we've gotten cozy with a traditional roster challenge, I think it's time to stretch our legs with something that doesn't even have rosters normally!

For this challenge, pitch an idea for a Tetris game with some sort of original twist. This means you can't just go for something traditional or make a straightforward sequel to your favorite Tetris game. I'm looking for ideas that have never been seen before.

You are allowed to feature traditional tetris as a side mode, but your twist on the formula needs to take center stage.

Good luck!

A twist, huh? Alright.

Quadris
Takes place on a plus-shaped grid; Each "arm" of the grid serves as an individual playing field, with the center where they intersect being the "red zone" which causes you to lose. You add a piece to each field in clockwise order, with every certain number of line clears reversing the direction.

Thank you all for the win. Didn't have time to vote but I'd have been happy to see any of these entries win!

Tetris Origins: Secrets of the Tetromino
The iconic Tetris franchise gets a modern AAA reinvention in this story based action adventure RPG. Very much in the style of modern Sony titles or the more modern Final Fantasy games. Explode a rich, detailed scifi universe and unravel the mysteries of the all powerful Tetromino, objects that are crucial to the lore of this world, while battling against the factions that want to get their hands on them.

The game takes a third person behind the shoulder camera view, like a lot of modern major action games. You play as a scientist and explorer who is trying to observe the Tetromino, but finds herself forming a symbiotic bond with the "L-Block" Tetromino, gifting her mysterious powers. Now she must protect the Tetromino from gangs of space pirates, alien warlords, and her own organisation.

Battles are somewhat similar to Final Fantasy VII Remake, but instead of a command menu a mini game of Tetris appears on the bottom side of the screen. Players must play Tetris in order to land attacks. Better stacks mean more powerful combos. You will travel across the world and interact with each of the Tetromino to gain new powers. Later levels will mix up the kind of Tetris you play. The game features a lot of cutscenes and a rich story.

I apologise if this is too much is a twist. I don't actually think this would be good in anyway, I just think it'd be funny

Hmm, a twist, you say? Okay, let's go with something offbeat - Orbitris.

This might seem like a simple twist, but here goes nothing; instead of taking place on a purely linear grid, Orbitris takes place on a radial grid. It's controlled with a pair of spinners - one for "orbiting" each piece around the outside, the other for spinning your pieces in place - and you can press down on both of the spinners at once to perform a Hard Drop. You could totally still control this with a mouse if you wanted to, but I just... really like spinners.

(Consider this an example. It's surprisingly hard to find decent radial grids online, so I had to shoddily cook one up in Paint.net.)

While this on its own might not seem like a massive change, it actually does bring about a pretty big shift in strategy - given there's essentially no longer any side borders to worry about during "normal" play. Of course, the main draw to Orbitris probably wouldn't be that baseline mode, though - not when it comes to the main mode of the game, Orbitris: Tetromina in Space!

Keeping up an interesting tradition of puzzle games lending well to cosmic themes, the crew of the legendary starship Tetromina jet across the stars to take on a wide variety of missions, taking place in the orbit of all kinds of celestial bodies. This essentially takes on a form not entirely dissimilar to that of a mission mode - travelling from one system to the next, with each system having its own asteroids, space stations, moons, satellites, planets, stars, or even rogue ships to visit - all of which will bring about one of a wide variety of different challenges.

(A non-linear take on each system, so you can take on different challenges at your own pace. Some systems might even have interceptors to pull you into unique encounters, or might require you to maintain a larger wall on a "home base" of sorts! The possibilities are (almost) endless.)

A couple of examples of what those challenges might look like...
  • The enemies are coming! Fill a Tetromino with just five blocks!
  • Liberate the colony! Make a hole in the blockade!
  • The planet's under attack! Hard-Drop your pieces on the opposition!
  • Your engines are damaged! Clear a line with as few tiles as possible!
And all kinds of other things! Feel free to fill in the gaps.

Jetting from one star system to the other, the Tetromina could come across all kinds of fascinating new types of playfield to handle, too. Sure, some might be more normal than others - variation in grid size springs to mind - but then when you consider the potential for gimmicks like a binary playfield, gravitational anomalies that might send your tiles right back up at you (ala Meteos?), re-entry burning that severs your "lower" tiles, and any number of other things... the possibilities are endless! Those kinds of modifiers on top of all kinds of different missions could lead to almost endless possibilities.

Sure, it's a little out-there... but I think it'd certainly be a twist to the Tetris formula. Of course, the larger-scale mode I'm suggesting here wouldn't be the sole attraction - I'm sure all the puzzle fiends who prefer the reliability and flow state of a more traditional Tetris experience could still take the opportunity to lab that in "Puzzle Mode", or whatever it'd be likely to be called. But, for a bit more of a narrative (perhaps not unlike that of Arkanoid, come to think of it?), this seems like a fun and fresh way to go about that.

Break Tetris

At first, Break Tetris appears as a standard game of Tetris without much variation. Eventually, glitch effects start to appear through out the game. They start small and entirely visual but then go onto affect the gameplay in unpredictable and random ways. For example, held Tetrominos could be the wrong ones, lines will clear horizontally instead of vertically, and different visuals could be applied to the gameplay. It wouldn’t be all negative too, sometimes the effects could help gameplay as well. They also wouldn’t be permanent, but as you go on more and more effects would appear and stack onto each other.

Eventually, there’s an end to the game but it’s extremely difficult to reach and could take the community months to get to. The existence of an ending wouldn’t be given away but hinted at cryptically in marketing (and the title lol). At the end, all the glitch effects are stripped away and the game turns into the original 1984 version of Tetris. After a few lines, the game would properly end with a message from Alexey Pajitnov, creator of Tetris, and Willis Gibson who beat the NES version of Tetris.

The game would be a commentary on and response to the community surrounding Tetris. It could even reference aspects of the community with glitch effects. (for one there could be a message saying “beating Tetris is not a life goal” or is that a little too dragon quest your story ending core?) It would also be fun to have a database of all the glitches formatted like a fan wiki.

Escape Tetris
Basically you play as a little character inside a Tetris grid (maybe it would be larger, or maybe the size could vary) as Tetris pieces fall down and you have to try and climb the Tetris pieces to the top and 'escape' the Tetris grid.

There would be switches you could press to move or rotate the pieces, but you would need to reach them. The goal would actually be to avoid clearing a line, since that would send you down farther.

There would also be a multiplayer mode, where one person is just playing regular Tetris and the other(s) are inside the grid and need to try to sabotage them and escape.

Challenge 2: Tetris: Block World

this game is just a Puyo Puyo or Panel de Pon version but just Tetris, the game have different characters, the protagonist is a robot called Tetro and the universe is a sci-fi that takes place on Russia post-world war 3, the gameplay is a duel and it works similar from Tetris, the player and the CPU, the gameplay have gray blocks who are like the black puyos from Puyo Puyo and they can be destroyed by other tetromino pieces aligned
