From Pac-Man World. These games are really undrepresented in Smash . Players fight in a long peer that will sometimes break. There are boxes that can be broken. Power Pellets can be collected to power up your fighter.

Chunky Kong
Based on that old Smash 4 roumor. He'll smack his hands on the ground and cause bananas to fall from the sky.

Job 47: King Dedede

Kirby has a rich cast of characters, one that we may want to consider expanding on as this project continues, but chief among them all is of course King Dedede. He's Kirby's greatest frenemy and certainly the series' second most prominent force. Dedede is my main, but I think he has plenty of reason to be here beyond that due to his unique weapon type, trap-based gameplay style and longstanding history. Kirby is one of the most foundational Smash series, and Dedede was slated for the series as far back as the very beginning!

Simply put, we need a new Pokemon character. It's kind of a weird blind spot at this point for a series that has received so much over the course of Smash's history, and Pokemon Trainer is a great choice to mend that given its creative spin on Pokemon's game essence and the technical inclusion of three new characters. I do feel much more strongly, however, about series like Kirby or DK getting their extended casts. Which is why I vouch for Dedede here, one of my favorite characters ever bursting with personality and carrying a really unique playstyle.

Third pick is where it gets kinda tricky, really just between Diddy Kong and Pyra / Mythra. I went with the latter, for the sake of variety. I think it's valuable to maintain this well-executed swap mechanic, keep fresh faces on the roster, and to let Xenoblade remain a major player alongside the boosts we gave Animal Crossing and Splatoon. I suspect Diddy Kong will make it on the roster very soon whether we add him now or not, so I'd rather make my case for potentially one of the more contentious choices.

As for the others... Honestly, I would have supported the "Metroid rep" here if it was Ridley. I'm not voting for Raven Beak until Ridley is here. Dr. Eggman, he'd be cool but he's not really my first pick for a Sonic character and I'd rather not prioritize him over several key first party characters. Sonic can wait its turn for now. Noah & Mio are fine I guess but I'd probably need to be better sold on how these two work as a duo and I think Pyra and Mythra should get first dibs.

Job 48: Boxing Ring - Even though we haven't added Little Mac yet, I feel like this stage is already a classic Smash location. Does a great job both giving Punch-Out a home stage and creating a fun environment for any character to square up in.

Job 49: Genesect - I just think they're neat.

I’m okay with Pokémon Trainer. I don’t really mind if it is just Charizard again like Smash 4, or if the original starter trio are remaining.

I’m way more in favour of retaining Pyra/Mythra in Smash. Their swap mechanic is the best in the series, and represents the characters well. Plus, Xenoblade 2 is still the best selling game in the series, even after 3’s release. I think Noah will get in at a later point, but I think having Pyra/Mythra is more important.

I think Dedede makes sense as the second Kirby character. We don’t have one yet, and I’m for his inclusion in this.

For others, I think it’s 50/50 between Eggman or Tails for a second Sonic rep. And there are other characters I’d prioritise first. Raven Beak would work if Ridley was already in. Noah & Mio would be cool, but as said above, I’d prefer Pyra/Mythra to get in first.

And I think Diddy will eventually get in. And I wouldn’t consider bringing in DK picks like K. Rool or Funky until Diddy is in.

Job 54: Captain Falcon

Although I'm compelled to nominate someone more indulgent like Ness or Little Mac, I just had to give it to him. Captain Falcon is the essence of Super Smash Bros - I would wager out of every character who they have uniquely interpreted and made their own, he is still the most successful. You'd be hard pressed to think of something else Smash has cultivated that comes close to how iconic and legendary Falcon Punch is. As someone who admires Smash's own creative liberties and unique legacy, I believe he's an essential component.

If relevance is a concern regarding priority, I still think Falcon is relevant. F-Zero 99 came out last year, Mute City and Big Blue are present in the best selling Switch game (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe). Despite its dormancy and Nintendo's disinterest in giving it a full fledged new blockbuster title, it's a series they clearly still treasure and like to show off when possible, like that Nintendo Land minigame. And anyway, we've done well by some of Nintendo's more contemporary titles so far... we can hand it to some of their old stuff again too.

First off, ignoring Wario is not an easy decision but I'm not worried about him. I mean truthfully, Wario and all these characters will make it in at some point. I'd just rather prioritize the world outside the Marioverse for a bit before digging back in... kinda strange we still don't have Luigi and Peach too, but we'll get there. Anyway...

Olimar gets first dibs. I think people maybe sleep on Pikmin a bit in terms of how big of a deal it is for Nintendo. The sales don't particularly reflect this, but it's an easy like, fifth in line right now for merch and branding. Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing, Splatoon... then Pikmin. Those little dudes are super marketable, I suppose. Olimar is also a pretty unique character, albeit neglected because of how unorthodox and quite frankly, not all that exciting it is. This isn't really the place to be speculating on moveset reworks or anything, but I hope he's made a bit more palatable next time. That point aside, he's a character who reflects the mechanics of his series really well singlehandedly, although I'd be open to seeing another candidate eventually.

Granted I know the point of this roster isn't really to play by the rules in that sense, but I guess I'm trying to treat it the way Sakurai and Nintendo might moving forward into next game. Olimar, in my mind, is breaching the level of necessity of several 64 vets by now.

Captain Falcon and Ness are a package deal in my eyes, although assuming we go with two characters like we've been doing there's a chance one of them will miss this round. My love lies with the Mother series, but I opt for Falcon here for no particular reason. I guess I feel obligated since I nominated him, but I think both of these two are important to have and I hope whichever of them misses the cut this time doesn't have to wait too much longer.

Might update for other jobs later, I've been pretty busy so not able to cooperate too much. Just wanted to vote on the fighters for now.
