Honestly, I hesitate to vote for a character like Knuckles because I wouldn't mind him being added later. So I'm just endorsing the ATs that I don't think have a very good chance of being added as characters, or I don't think would be very popular here.

Job 59: Chorus Kids

I wasn't sure which angle I wanted to take on this, and I wasn't certain I wanted to do Rhythm Heaven since we added two other legacy Nintendo IPs from around the same era already, but screw it. I've wanted Rhythm Heaven content for years now and I'm convinced Chorus Kids are the most efficient way to provide it. Many Rhythm Heaven games operate in sort of troupes, a group of characters needing to follow the others' lead. And naturally, a lot of those games also involve musicians of some kind. Chorus Kids are a team of musicians, delivering the necessary essence of the series in the process through characters who are also relative blank slates, and wouldn't feel odd pulling out props or summoning friends. You're granted the most freedom and also the most conceptually fitting way to reflect all of the series' zany minigames.

Think of them less like Ice Climbers and more as a single unit distributed among three vessels. They are attached at the hip and are only operating individually during moves that involve multi-hits or multiple input. Consider their specials and smash operating not unlike Incineroar's Side B or Wii Fit Trainer's Deep Breathing, with three timed inputs. Experienced players will memorize these pretty quickly, Chorus Kids are operating on their own metronome.

I feel as if Rhythm Heaven is a series everyone sort of acknowledges could justify being here, but the conversation is not as prominent or impassioned as that around Golden Sun. I think both series should be here, and with Isaac out of the way I hope we can take these three more seriously. And less expected, unorthodox fighters are always welcome in my eyes. We also don't have any Rhythm Game characters, and I think diversifying the genres represented in Smash not only appeals to a wider spread of people but also provides fresh new moveset opportunities around those concepts.

Don't mean to criticize, but including things like this makes me not want to support the character. I'd leave factors like that out of the equation, since it will be up to us to decide whether or not we want to bring Wii Fit Trainer back later. I like the idea of Ring Fit Trainee, I just don't want to feel like I'm endorsing them over another character rather than in a vacuum. The two don't actually have a whole lot in common.

This spread of votes should be interesting. Realistically, I want Rayman the most outside of my own nomination. I'll be honest with myself and vote him the highest, although I do want to focus on other Nintendo series before expanding too far into third parties beyond the essentials. Should Rayman be here before we add Ryu or Cloud? Maybe not, but I guess Ubisoft justifies the involvement in their own right and hopefully those two will come soon. Ring Fit Trainee is a pick that just makes sense, and honestly would be pretty compelling in its own right. They are from the biggest new Nintendo IP and I think they've earned it, since we don't have that many of those lately.

Noah doesn't interest me all that much, particularly since we haven't added Pyra and Mythra yet. And Officer Howard is... fine, but Astral Chain is one of those series I'm kinda just waiting to see what happens with. Nintendo bought it but for what? Where's the sequel? As is, unlike the massive success of Ring Fit, I don't know if I'm that compelled to pull the trigger on Astral Chain yet.

Players can form trans and use their moves to try and get the ball into the gaolr. Has basketball, American football, soccer, basketball and vollyball forms.

Okay okay, I'll be the one to do it then. We really shouldn't be taking another step further without Nintendo's leading lady. Not only is Peach absolutely essential, but her float mechanic allows her to stand out among the cast even today after nearly 90 original characters. She's the perfect balance of a familiar face and someone who is offering something fresh that other characters cannot.

The only other character I was really humoring here was Arle Nadja (my MW) and Pupp nominated them so I'm set. Would like to add Isabelle back too but I think we should probably supplement some other major franchises before tripling up on Animal Crossing.
