Speaking of Palutena, the hitbox on Celestial Fireworks is janky as all get go. I fought against her as Ridley a little bit ago and his Down Air connected to it from near the top of the screen and kept him frozen in place for half a second.

The move went off near a platform. How did it reach Ridley all the way at the top of the screen.

Palutena doesn’t have Celestial Fireworks in Ultimate though.

Are you talking about Explosove flame maybe?

Alright guys here’s a character that everybody wants, but they just don’t know that they do. It’s solaire from dark souls 1. I know it’s a great idea. He is the most beloved dark souls character and has the most notoriety as well most people will recognize him. He has a very eccentric personality and we already know he can praise the sun as a taunt. He can do some cool sword stuff with miracles for range and maybe even utilize a physical shield. Another more reason they should add him is that there’s already an amiibo for Solaire so we will have access to that immediately and what better way to celebrate dark souls remastered being ported onto switch. All in all it’s just extreme wishful thinking on my part, but crazier things have happened. Also do any of y’all even play dark souls at all, I’m just trying to gauge how many smash players have played and enjoyed dark souls.

They acknowledged Geno in an earlier Twitter post, although maybe Microsoft owning Banjo-Kazooie is a different case from Square Enix owning Geno...

Played them all except Demon's Souls. Bloodborne > DS3 = DS1 >>>DS2 IMO.

I like Solaire and I could see him with a moveset that used his miracles/Estus healing but I'm a bit iffy on him as a pick. He's certainly iconic but his character arc is so small and he isn't that important to Souls, if that makes sense. Still, I'd be down for that.

I have never played Dark Souls and I don't want that character... which doesn't mean that I'm against his inclusion or that he would be a bad choice. I don't have any personal wants for the roster which is why I don't ask anything out of the DLC, and I'm willing to welcome pretty much anybody to the Smash family. If I were to ask something is for the DLC to surprise me and include fun fighters.
Which is why I have a positive reception to a wacky addition like Piranha Plant and to Joker, despite never playing a Persona game.

So, I played some WoL. Not gonna give super in-depth thoughts until I play a little more, but I have played enough to have this hot take:

Best Smash Adventure Mode IMO, and better than SSE and Melee's. It's the Smash RPG I've always wanted and I adore it.

Not at all what I said. I just don't think a Smash rep is required, and I think if they have any choice in the matter, they'd be better off using a slightly faltering IP to potentially bring it back into positive spotlight. Representation in Smash isn't the only form of advertisement.

Plus, the entire discussion here has been around Dovahkiin in Smash. That wouldn't really do a whole lot to help advertise TES 6.

I'm with this 100%. I don't think Solaire would be AS crazy and outlandish as Joker, but definitely up there. For sure a character many would love, plus all your points add up. He wouldn't be hard to add, would fit the more mature theme that I personally believe is driving the Fighters Pack as a whole, has an Amiibo, etc. Honestly feels kinda likely all things considered.

I'd say Solaire has a chance, if Tales of wasn't owned by Namco Bandai. I'm telling you all that Lloyd is going to be in this game.

Watch as the character I said would never get in (Joker) gets in while the character I say will get in (Lloyd) doesn't. That'd be just my luck.

Anyways, Ultimate is going well. I keep wasting all of my coins on Spirit Board items, so that's not as well. I did manage to beat Master and Crazy Hand on difficulty ~8.5 with Ike, and I completed the Games and More section of the Challenge Board.

I'm still ****in' broke though lol.

I told everyone they would show up and do it just to get to Elite.

I warned you all.

What if we let them get to Elite and take over so that Sakurai nerfs Link and his clones?

Dark Souls is only published by Bandai Namco outside of Japan. In Japan, FromSoftware publishes Dark Souls. So I don't think Bandai Namco would really get in the way of anything and it's possible we see both Lloyd and Solaire.

Gonna agree with this, Persona is one of those rare gems that really, REALLY know how and when to utilize music and ongoing leitmotifs for an emotional impact.

Fair warning. P5 has a lot of QoL improvements and if you ever plan on exploring the rest of the Persona games, you may find it inconvenient if you start at 5 and work your way back.

Honestly would prefer Artorias though Solaire would be great.
Love Dark Souls as a series but I vastly prefer Bloodborne overall.
