MarioTehPlumber is an absolute sociopath so even if this might be conspiracy theory-level, it's a conspiracy I could absolutely believe. If there's anyone that would commit identity theft to push a fake leak it'd probably be him - and him buying all those Rosalina amiibos proves if nothing else that he's pretty resourceful.

I was willing to suspend my suspicions but we've gone a full business day without a statement.
This coupled with them contacting that bank to pull their video means they're clearly aware of the leak but aren't saying anything.

Marina, a company in the same field, was in the spotlight for something of 9 hours before they felt their reputation was threatened enough to hit the breaks, lawyer up, and distance themselves from the leak. It's been something around 50 for ACP and that's being conservative. Zilch from them.

Not sure if we can draw definitive conclusions from silence, but something is funky here.

Contrary to popular belief on this subject, I think that his wording with the ''insiders'' being confused means that it's real. He is laughing because he thinks it's obviously real. But that's just my take on it. I had to listen to that horrible video thrice, please give me some credit.

I know the Smash community is famously toxic (as is any in the FGC) and that things got a bit heated in the ESRB Leak back then with the same stuff of Team Fake and Team Real... but it was never like this, holy ****. It's not just people on the outside, people inside this very thread are creating narratives to make ****ting on people justifiable, talking about broken confidence and how people they don't agree with should "just shut up" and come just to post mindless support for whatever they believe.

This is ****ty. This leak is unprecedent on all fronts. Yeah it's fun and all that, but it's also probably the worst on this series history by a long shot.

Welcome to the Smash fan base. At this point, it’s best not to give a damn and just sit back and watch as the madness unfolds, popcorn in hand.

I think it's the bank that pulled down the video, not them, either because they didn't like the comments OR they didn't want to be associated with the company anymore. Nintendo MIGHT have told them to shut up and finish what they were doing seeing as the time left until release is too short to do a 180.

Aside from that, somebody posted a link to a page where you could pay 7 Euros to see info on ACP. Could somebody repost that link and tell me what to look for? I'll bite the bullet for 10$ it's not so bad

All this talk reminds me of the toxicity of TF2's MvM mode.

For those who don't know, the consensus there is "must have this specific load out and play the game in this very specified manner or else you don't deserve to play at all."

Not really a contribution, just a random thought.

Competitive is the same way. If you ever go off-class (except Sniper), even if it logically makes sense to do so, you're gonna get vote kicked. Which shouldn't be a surprise, because until 2 or 3 years ago all the comp leagues banned most weapons indiscriminately to artificially stop the meta from evolving, and even afterword they even banned certain weapons specifically to keep specialist classes unviable/extremely situational (rip GRU). And Valve wonders why people hate competitive TF2...

I just can't fathom how can there still be people on full fake mode and then act like they know more than anyone. I can't sincerely concieve this being fake unless the creator(s) of it have the greatest brains to ever exist in the history of mankind.
This is just ESRB all over again only this time with even more evidence backing it up. At this point it's the most likely scenario possible for me.

Anyway, I’m still trying to figure out how Sakurai/Nintendo will reveal all 7 of the Grinch Gang before release if it’s legit.

Smash= Isaac at beginning, Shadow & Ken showcase in the middle, Banjo reveal at end.

General Nintendo (assuming there’s anything left to showcase for Winter 2018/Q1 2019 = Soley Geno, Chorus Kids, or Mach Rider at the end

Robin/Lucina style trailers= It could any one of the unique 5 tbh, if they manage to reveal the rest for the remainder of the month.

Unless it’s that big, I don’t see why Pokemon Let’s Go and Smash Ultimate cant share a month, one gets 2 weeks and the other gets three.

It's because there's so much evidence pointing to it being real, and not as much towards the fake side.

Although I will admit I'm having the time of my life with this leak. This is gonna go down in Smash history.

My dude I've been around since the old days of getting bombed with Sonic out of nowhere while browsing GameFAQs, I fully know what this fanbase can do lmao I specifically remember the insane amount of threads saying they would not buy Brawl unless Megaman was in it and stuff like that, or getting the CSS leaked a few days before release because someone who had the game was posting everything on Nico Nico Douga and people were pissed as hell when it stopped at Wolf.

And even then, at freaking Gamefaqs, it never got as bad as this.

EDIT: Of course, GameFAQs RIGHT NOW must be potentially worse than anywhere else, but that's not the point!

You know, to help spice things up without getting into leaks. I can always share a fun story with Smashboards.

Once, many years ago, I had a dream that Super Smash Bros. 4 was announced. Ness was revealed as a playable character, except. He had been redesigned slightly so that his hat looked like a vileplume cap. And people got SO angry about it on youtube, that Nintendo released an official statement about how they got so fed up with the complaints about Ness's ugly hat, that they cut hum from the game and replaced him with. Uh. Alistar from League of Legends.

So about ACP, no connection has been found between them and Nintendo as of yet, correct? Even so, is it outside the realm of possibility that they simply wouldn't share their client information publicly until after a contract has closed? I image if their business is to create promotional materials for major video game and film companies, broadcasting that they've landed a contract would invite all kinds of harassers and snoopers and the like. In my mind, discretion would be a selling point when working in these kinds of businesses.

Second, even if Nintendo does manage the marketing of their own game (which makes plenty of sense), isn't it common practice to outsource the production of promotional material to companies like ACP and Marina? I've seen people argue that third party companies wouldn't handle the marketing, but graphic design and printing of cardboard signs and whatever is just normal business. As I understand.
