QUESTION

Would you guys like a Super Smash Bros RPG?

That was basically my idea instead of a fighting game. Action adventure if possible.

Do you guys have any wild picks that you know will never ever happen but you'd love to see anyway? I do. Namely, Madotsuki from Yume Nikki. Given some of the effects, I actually think that in the alternate universe where this is a possibility, there'd be some mighty fine potential for a fun moveset. Just don't pull from that godawful remaster, and you've got yourself perfection. Again though, I don't expect this since it's really never going to happen, but I'd love it. I'll settle for Miis, though. Specifically, a Swordfighter, for reasons most obvious to those familiar with the character.

What if for the Pac-Maze stage, instead of the ghosts flashing straight up blue, they flash the color of the player spot the fighter is in like Red for 1P, Blue for 2P, etc. They’d still have the same face when a Power Pellet is eaten, they just flash a different color depending on the player spot

Now that’s something that could likely work for all the colors

- Wario Colosseum (Mario Kart Double Dash): This would be the most epic kart-based stage in Smash history. Prove me wrong (Pro-Tip: You can't)

I wouldn’t consider it that wild if they wanted to go for an indie pick but had to pick a Japanese one if communication purposes between companies were the deal breaker. Personally I’d want Shantae as an indie pick, not just for personal reasons but I feel like she has the most unique moveset potential, but if they’re able to make a fun and viable moveset for Quote/Curly Brace, I’d understand and welcome them.

Hat Kid and Katamari Prince are both huge dream picks for me. Joker also would have been, but we actually we have him now. Still can't process that we're in a world where Joker from P5 is in Smash, lol.

Mega Man X. He's probably my favourite character in any form of media, but it's pretty unlikely he'll join the battle alongside his big brother anytime soon. He's too unique to be an echo and Zero or another Classic character seems to have priority if hell freezes over and gets another rep.

So far I’ve been lucky and gotten a few of my most-wanted, both newcomer and returning, in this game, buuut...

Dante
Monster Hunter, I’m a longsword pleb but idc what weapon they use. Swappable palettes being different armour sets?
Failing that, Great Jaggi (also from Monster Hunter). Why? Because he’s adorable, the butt of jokes post MHTri, and has the best theme music. First large monster you fight if you started with Tri or Tri U.

I’m a fan of Capcom, apparently.

Also Spyro. Sure I got stuck with the DS games when I was younger but I loved Eternal Night back then.

Absurd wants:

Opa-Opa, Sega’s first mascot. Maybe an assist trophy that just pew-pew-pews.
Wart, from SMB2. First Mario game I played, first Mario archenemy I fought.
Wii safety guy. I want to smack famous video game characters in the face with a wiimote just as I did to my sisters.

His game is actually pretty good for what it is, but his franchise is definitely going nowhere anytime soon. I can guarantee he would have a unique moveset from the rest of the cast at least. The nostalgia waves are hitting me again.

3 reasons I can think of.

1. A near perfect soundtrack, the music in this game is absolutely top notch, most if not all the tracks were amazing. The heist music especially, when that plays near the end of the chapter it's really hype.

2. A great cast of memorable characters, I loved every single one of these kids and enjoyed seeing them go through their struggles.

3. It's a 100 hour game that never once gets boring.

I personally don't like RPGs, but the idea would be nice and would probably work just as well as Smash itself.

I'm not sure about fighters, but i'd love to see Nitrome get content one way or another. Even if it's just a Bomb Chicken spirit.

It's a fun game.
It looks super pretty.
The soundtrack is great.

I'd say its best asset though is that it's a JRPG that even people who aren't fans of the genre can enjoy and spread to other people.

I doubt it'll help you right now, but I bought a PS3 to play it, since a used one is much cheaper than a PS4.
And if it gets a Switch port, I'll buy the game again, gladly.

I've got three options here.

1. Hope and pray they announce a Switch port in March.
2. Buy a PS3 for literally one game which is kinda irresponsible.
3. Sail the seven seas.

Number one seems like my best bet. I hope a port is announced in March, i'm getting sick of being left out of the super secret Persona 5 club.

Arcueid Brunestud. For those who don't know, she precedes Saber (a fairly-popular request as of recent) by 4 years, and from the same company to boot. She's not the first protagonist from the company (there are older, more obscure characters), but she's certainly got her own history and even has her own fighting games to boot. Familiar with Melty Blood? Well that's to Xenosaga what Under Night In-Birth is to Xenoblade.

She's indirectly responsible Saber's current fame. Arcueid's totally viable since she checks off all the requirements for a video game character, but Kinoko Nasu (the main writer) hasn't used her for anything huge as of late, so I'm hard-pressed believing she would ever rep if Sakurai and Nasu both wanted a character from Type-Moon. Had Tsukihime's remake not become vaporware, it might have brought her back in the spotlight.

You'll hear me bring up KOS-MOS almost every time someone asks, "Who's your Most-Wanted?" just because she has an advantage of being part of Bandai Namco, which has such a small roster presence that you can add two reps like her and Lloyd. If Saber turns you off for "swordfighter" reasons, Arcueid is literally far more unique an option. It's just her low-radar presence that makes her virtually impossible next to other iffy-but-probable ideas for newcomers.

Since persona 5 is the current topic, I recently watched Toradora's english dub and Taiga's VA is the same as Morgana's. Very hard to seperate the two now. Doesn't help that the main character is named Ryuji either

1. It's definitely not a Switch port as evidenced by the Playstation logo. Even if it was, you're still waiting at minimum 2-3 months or probably longer.
2. You could easily justify a PS3 with the dozens of other games on the console.
3. Yo-ho, it's a pirate's life for me.

Literally everything Persona related is canon to each other, the main rPG's, the fighting games, the dancing games, the 3DS spin offs.

Wouldn't surprise me if Smash was somehow canon too.

Not only that, Crash Racing Remastered did the same thing lol
