Why is bowser's canon size so damn inconsistent? Like I know in mario party 5 he drank some mountain dew and got big but is there like an actual reason his size is so ****ing different in each game

I think he can canonically shape-shift but don't quote me on that.

Has be the the size he is in Smash but has also been a furbie and a room filling monster

Same size as Donkey Kong, to being giant in 64 and MASSIVE in King of Swing

has happened but can't recall.

Koopa magic. Kamek is able to help change his size, as confirmed in Yoshi's Island. He grows in multiple games, sometimes due to Kammy as a replacement for Kamek in some of the Paper Mario games.

I think her overall tools are slightly worse but the mechanics kind of make her better

His Melee size was his Brawl size.

Because Bowser by default is small enough to work and only in final showdowns does he grow huge.
That, and when he was added in Melee, the whole "Giant Bowser" thing hadn't been fully established yet and was just a one-time deal.

But like Ridley his size tended to vary through games. By that logic, the same should had been argued for him as well yet Sakurai had no issue in adding him.

The only time Ridley was small enough to work was in the now non-canon Metroid. Ever since Super, his size has varied from "too big" to "really too big".

It's just weird how many different sizes he has. Like he's pretty close to his smash size in the paper mario games, and in 64/galaxy he seems to be slightly bigger than that, but then in sunshine he is HUGE, but then in the last cutscene he is way smaller, AND THEN THERE'S ODYSSEY AND 3D WORLD AND HOLY HELL WHY

My point is that it wasn't as hard as he made it out to be when he obviously could had based it off his original appearance. That's all I'm saying is all.
