The first bits of this video remind me that I still like Bowser's character a lot of the time, at least in the context of the RPGs and stuff.

This probably means nothing, but there's going to be a big No More Heroes stream next week with English subtitles and they're teasing a huge announcement. Very much doubt it's Smash but a NMH2 port for Switch would be sick.

Travis was my Brawl want. It's crazy to me that characters I long since gave up on like Phoenix or Travis and characters I never even dared to dream could make it like Joker are either confirmed or plausible now.

But I mean, like I say constantly, I'll take anyone at this point. I'm not greedy.

No, I'm with you. February at the earliest but E3 more likely. I just think it's fun to spread the word of a series I like that no one seems to have played, especially if it means possible ports plus a new game gets new eyes on the character.

I just keep thinking that a situation can always happen.

It does seem odd that there would be a "huge announcement" only a month before the game is released.

Like, what would they have to announce? I seriously, seriously, seriously doubt they'd announce another fighters pass character before Piranha Plant is even released, and I also doubt they'd announce HD rereleases that could potentially canibalize the sales of their new game. So. The **** are they going to announce?

Plus...well, Travis Strikes Back is the second time a No More Heroes game was pushed from the intended release date to either help fill a Holiday gap due to a Smash delay or to fill a release date schedule and not compete.

SUDA51 was in the Brawl credits. This is the last ray of hope Travis supporters cling to.

Still, I don't see it really happening. I can wish all I want but yknow. Better to expect nothing and have fun with whatever we get. I already got one miracle.

Somehow I don't trust Nintendo to handle a deep political narrative subverting character tropes by casting its titular royal character as a flawed but understandable antagonist.

I mean, they can't even handle a game where Peach is the star with any sort of nuance. Or a single woman on its staff, apparently.

I like games where I have the option to be evil. Bioware games come to mind, with their Renegade/Rival routes.

It makes you feel powerful when you get to pick them, or all the more rewarding when you don't. If we got to play as a young Ganondorf faced with real problems and different paths to seizing the triforce of power, I'd be so down.

...then again. I fell for this once before.
