ACKSHUALLY, it's not about just Nintendo anymo--Smash also represents...well, Nintendo.
We've gotten so used to third parties I think we sometimes forget what Smash is all about.
Nevermind, he did it for meSmash Bros. Ultimate is a celebration of gaming more so than a celebration of Nintendo; the series as a whole has taken on a higher purpose. I remember Sakurai making a statement about it but I can't remember which Famitsu column or interview it is.
