According to Reggie, the Fighter's Pass is the only DLC intended for Ultimate. That of course could change, but not immediately if Nintendo is dead-set on putting the project on hiatus. I juggle with the idea of multiple packs from time to time, but like a fair bit of people here and outside Smashboards, I'm not betting on anything else beyond the Fighter's Pass. We'll just have to wait and see.

So, what's a character that you really really really want that COULD potentially be in Smash (i.e. not an anime character, movie character, etc) but they'll basically never be in?

Mine is Morag Ladair from Xenoblade 2, she's so ****ing cool and my favorite party member because of that. She would be hella cool and have a very interesting moveset! However, she's also a side character from a game that doesn't even have it's main character in Smash yet lol. And she's FAAAAR from the most popular side character (that goes to Nia). Jin or Malos from the same game would also be super sick

Morag is the only character from XC2 I'd accept(besides Leggings Mythra, that is) because her design is one of the coolest I've ever seen in any media. Period.
XC2's character designer used all of his talent on her so everyone else looks like ****. Let's pour one out for all the designs who had to be sacrificed for Morag.

As for my personal pick, it would have to be Etrian Odyssey Protector.
The Protector would be a slow but heavy unit focused on defensive play and could have the map-drawing the series is known for implemented in her moveset somehow. She could even make a tag team with Mediko, be it in the Ice Climber style or the Duck Hunt style.

And to anyone who might be Swordphobic, Protector's can wield Axes and Spears and since none of their skills depend on a specific weapon, they don't really have a "main" weapon.

I'd love to see a anime based on this latest version.

I mean....Splatoon version 4 trailer looked 'anime-ish' (Yes, I know it's not anime. Peoples were saying 'anime anime anime' implying it looked anime-ish, due to how the trailer continued), so it at least shows that Nintendo is interested in making things look anime-ish.

We've already seen a anime that's in part Smash, and it has to do with Palutena.

Now only if this was a reality...

p.s. Fun fact: Splatoon actually has a manga adaptation

You know, something looking "anime-ish" and making an actual animated adaptation out of it are completely unrelated. Fire Emblem Awakening looks "anime-ish" to a lot of people and doesn't have an anime.

Remember when every day there was a new fake character leak on 4 Chan or something. You knew they weren’t real but they were still really fun. There was just some magic about it that reminded you of the endless possibilities. Now they’re kind of gone. And i’m Sad.

He’s used a sword primarily sure, but he can fire energy blasts, create electric waves, wield a ****ing scythe, use claws, use guns. There’s tons of potential there. Plus if they really wanted to put an obscene amount of time into making him, they could give him costumes of all his appearances in the X series, cause proportionally they pretty much match up.

What are you talking about? Aside from the occasional "GOOD MORNING /v/" posts, there's always threads either talking about missing Spirits as DLC, and "leaks" containing Banjo and/or Geno, or some other dated deconfirmed character.

Well if they want people to use it in tournaments(and lets be real, they do, because there's no other reason to create the FS meter in the first place. They're tired of nobody who watches tournaments not getting to see the work they put in on FSs), then they need to get off their ***** and balance those things!

i actually thing the F/s meter is more for casual play more than this community. i've played a lot of casual smash and for people not familiar with the game chasing the smash ball is a really annoying thing to do (its also why smash ball sometimes just sits on the ground sometimes). nmot to mention a lot of the cast is not very good at getting the smash ball and those characters are often popular for causal players (FE characters, lil mac, mario and others)
ensuring cusal players get to see and use the super moves ups the fun factor for everyone.

MvCI convinced me that Sigma was cool.
Don't remember much about actually fighting Sigma from the X games though.

Speaking of Joker, as cool as it would be to get an SMT rep in the roster, I feel like he's too visually-similar to Bayonetta. He'd look like he'd be her son just going off on the color schemes and coincidentally-similar summoning abilities. Narukami would probably have better odds. I'm inclined to say Aigis for Persona 3, but she uses guns almost as much as Bayonetta does so she wouldn't bring much to the table. Then again, Narukami is another sword user which we already have a ton of in the roster...

See, this is why the Demi-Fiend is the first SMT rep that comes to mind when I think of who a third Sega rep could be in Smash. He's got a massive pool of abilities that would set him apart from other hand-to-hand brawlers.

I don't think so. Joker's got a few moves to set him apart from Bayonetta. Joker fights with a knife-like weapon in his game and that's unique since we don't have a knife welder in Smash (Sheik doesn't count). Joker can summon various demons of 8 elements while Bayonetta only focused on dark like elements.


Plus the weapons? Joker doesn't even wield double pistols like Bayonetta and his Final Smash could be including people from the Phantom Thieves

This really isn't about Sora himself, just any type of "info" that we receive. How about that supposed Minecraft boss being the only thing with Hitagi saying Steve's in? What about Skull Kid?

I just wanna see a CM Punk-level of a pipebomb happen, and we all know where are eyes go to. But if and/or when that comes to pass, I just have major burnout.
