Official Smash Ultimate Discussion

Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

I never gave my opinions regarding the "3 picks" thing, but if I was to guess.

  • Characters were, Sephiroth, DQ Character and Crono.
  • Sepiroth was denied right away, Square Enix doesn't want to play ball with any more FF stuff, as seen by the total lack of content in the game. Cloud's stuff is their limit even when paid.
  • DQ character is the character that went to negotiations, whether or not they fell through we don't know.
  • Crono is the backup character, if negotiations regarding music go wrong, Toriyama likely will already be on board.

After all this time I'm still unsure as to what PP's Nintendo sources discussing Geno even means...

Did that happen? Did PP start advocating Geno because his Nintendo higher-up sources speak of him? Or?

Leon doesn't seem to fit the trend.

He never really stopped being exposed unless he's referring specifically to Smash Bros.

Lloyd had a period of "literally who" for a while and that's why the Mii costume was a surprise but...

HRGH.... This is a real brainteaser.

I figured Bandai Namco would have a character but I was expecting and hoping for Heihachi.

Lloyd is okay tho.

Can I ask why you don't include Geno? Just out of curiosity.

Seriously though, James Bond or Joanna Dark would be amazing. Lloyd Irving would definitely fit the meant-to-be feeling but is still pretty popular. Crono fits but is Square-Enix. And so is Marina Liteyears, damn it.

Leon Kennedy seems pretty likely, which is awesome. Sure, I prefer Jill as an icon but Leon would be a fantastic choice for that sweet Nintendo connection. Viewtiful Joe is a pipe dream I'd love.

Layton...yes. My ideal world sees Layton and Phoenix both getting in but at the same time Layton is such a Smash-ready character to me. He was one of the first Miis I made. He would be great aesthetically and fun to play and is a DS icon and I'm all about the DS era.

I don't see a future where I'm not into whatever they give me. Even stuff like Poochy sounds like a blast. I love Poochy.

This makes a LOT of sense.

Yeah but Linkle has the dual crossbow thingy that would be cool in Smash. And she has a really cool design.

Lana seems to Robin-ish for me to want her.
