Watchmen is barely a superhero comic, honestly. It's more of a tragedy with a superhero theme wrapped around it. That's why I think Rorschach is an overrated choice for Injustice, despite me liking him as a character.

You won't know pain over Injustice 2 until you're a Spawn fan. After 4 plus years of speculation of Spawn, tons of fan outcry, acknowledgement by Boon, and a **** ton of teases for the character to end up with absolutely nothing crushed my enthusiasm to play that game after the 3rd pack. Like yeah, TMNT is cool. Hellboy was an AMAZING choice. But if you're going to purposely work up a fanbase on a character capitalize on that. Dont leave us hanging. You knew we wanted him and we got ****.

Last time I'm buying a NetherRealm game early tbh. I'll wait for the inevitable Komplete, XL, Legendaty, whatever edition from now on.

Agree Boon trolled fans so hard with Spawn hints and all for nothing. Thats what made Raidens inclusion even more painful for me. I really had hoped for Spawn and was expecting him all the way until the end. And still nothing, I mean TMNT is cool, but I would have preferred Spawn. Hopefully Netherealm redeem themselves and add him in MK 11.

Im curious if Sora or Sephiroth were added to Smash, would Square go out of their way and add their English VA's? Would they hire Haley Joel Osment or George Newbern to voice their characters again?

Also I love Xander Mobus as the game announcer, he kind of sounds like Christopher Sabat when he voices All Might. However I would have loved to hear Paul St. Peter as the announcer as well he does an amazing job in Soul Calibur 6.

The difference is people want this character so promotion is alright because it's a character they want. If a character they don't want is considered a promotion then it's a bad thing. Just a little thing called bias. lol

You're definitely right about that, we definitely do gravitate to the characters we care about regardless of the reasons that can be brought against them. It's just an observation I noticed since when you get down to it, they're virtually in the same situation and you can even argue Corrin was actually more established as a character then Sylux currently is when they were chosen. So seeing the treatment being so starkly different between what happened with the former and latter is interesting to say the least, their receptions are pretty much on opposite ends of the pole.

You know, I'm not really the biggest Persona fan, but I would love to see Persona get in Smash, simply because Persona Q has the greatest OST I've ever heard in a videogame, and would love to hear some Persona Q music in Smash

When you talk about reps, it brings to light that many protagonists are too alike. They are the likeable guy with a sword or the macho guy with a gun. In theory, a character from Fire Emblem shouldn't deconfirm DQ characters, but fighting games are about variety. The Luminary is a victim of the blank slate protagonist syndrome. The only impression you walk away with is his terrible hairstyle. They'd be better off with the support cast like Jade or short stuff.

Yes, exactly, same. I bought the launch, $80 Dollar, Legendary Edition because of the promise of DLC. I knew Spawn wasn't base but there was no way, with all Boon's teasing they would skip him for DLC. Alas, here we are.

Here's the thing though. As a comic book fan I want to see my favorite COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS battling it out. I love the fact that MK has been a haven for horror characters to flourish in a fighting game and will love love love it if Michael Myers is added in MK11 but... Spawn. I want see Spawn beat the **** out of Hellboy and Batman and now I'm not getting that, probably, ever.

Spawn in Soul Calibur 2 was always a really cool thing to me but I never got to play him. He came second place to Link in terms of the guest characters. Heihachi was cool, Spawn was awesome, but Link was in a fighting game. A NON NINTENDO fighting game. That blew my mind back then.

To get slightly back on topic. Injustice is one of the big reasons I've been skeptical of other Seasom Passes, even then Red Hood, Sub-Zero, and Hellboy made up for the lack of Spawn. And I even enjoyed Raiden's inclusion quite a bit. But I still felt burned by the promise of Spawn. Luckily Tekken 7's turned out great. Geese and Noctis are amazing. And I'm almost positive Smash's will as well but I want to see that first character before I dive in. If I like that character then sign me the hell up. If not, I wait. No biggy.

Agree Noctis plays really well in Tekken 7, absolutely love his inclusion. Negan eh im not super crazy about him being in the game.

I have the Collector's Edition strategy guide pre-ordered on Amazon Prime. In fact, I'm going to head over to the Prima office in Indianapolis before they close up shop to get the crew to sign that and a few other books.

You know, I don't know if you're telling the truth or lying here and either way that's cool. I once saw a burnt down Applebees. It made me glad that there was one less Applebees in the world. Or maybe it was a Chilis? Same difference though (they might as well be the same place).
