The next few games will probably have smaller rosters than Ultimate. But if there’s ever another game that brings everyone back, then I’ll just say 103-108 characters is the upper limit, just because Sakurai has already used those numbers, and 108 has significance in Japan (and other eastern cultures). But maybe an even 100 is better.Seeing all the dream rosters you guys posted made me think about something
What do you think is the upper limit of characters in smash?
I mean, this game's gonna have 80+ by the end of it's lifecycle, and that already feels pretty overwhelming, but what's the real limit? 100? 130? Over 9000?
Now where did I leave that banhammer...
Worse graphics looks better? Interesting. But I assume you're talking about the "style" (Black outlines around characters and more "cartoony" look). I can understand that. But texture and resolution wise, Wii U looks demonstratively better. If you scaled the 3DS screen to a 32" tv, I don't think you'd hold that opinion.Whenever someone says Smash For's single player mode sucks, I die inside a little.
Also, unpopular opinion but I still think 3DS version looks better than Wii U version.
I can't wait to start making the SmashBoards platform fighter. Now where did I leave that banhammer...

I mean, Wii U version had better graphics but I liked the overall designs and art direction in 3DS version better. Plus, I prefer less saturated models.
Ganondorf and Link look much better on 3DS..something looks wrong with their Wii U models.Worse graphics looks better? Interesting. Would I be the joke character (something like ), in that supposed Smashboards platform fighter?I can't wait to start making the SmashBoards platform fighter.
Mic_128 will basically be Dedede but if you get hit by any normal attacks by Mic, you just kinda get removed from the game
Down Special bans you from real life
so down special literally kills you irl thenI can't wait to start making the SmashBoards platform fighter.

No, that would be me.Would I be the joke character (something like ), in that supposed Smashboards platform fighter?
Cloud also. The 3DS artstyle lends itself much better to Nomura's artstyle than his HD model does.Ganondorf and Link look much better on 3DS..something looks wrong with their Wii U models.
I need my obituary to say "Kevin was banned on [whenever I die]. Reason: [whatever I died from]."so down special literally kills you irl then

They did confirm a day one patch, and it'll probably be necessary to play online. But I'm assuming you can play single player as much as you want...Hm, jokes aside, question: With the leaked copies of smash, were there any signs of needing a day 1 patch to be able to play the game? I picked up Starlink last week and that had a 6 gig patch you had to download before you can play. I'm flying interstate the day of the launch, so I'll basically pick up my copy after work then go straight to the airport. Hoping I can just jam the cart in and start playing without issue...

Fallout V: DragonguardI think I know, but just in case, what are you referencing here?
As soon as you activate the smash ball it forces you to the Home Menu, where the icon appears complete with progress bar, even if you already have Skyrim. It installs a new copy every time.>Trailer for Smash starts like that

"Dataminers Discover Strings of Skyrim's Code, Hidden inside of the Upcoming Release, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate"All of his specials put a bunch of Skyrim files and references in the files.
Just like with Fallout 76.
Huh? You lost me...What if Geno is DLC but they completely base him around the Sassy Geno leak
You expect me to read a whole post before I reply. Geez! Can I quote myself?
Ah, death.I need my obituary to say "Kevin was banned on [whenever I die]. Reason: [whatever I died from]."
edit:
*genuinely adds "SmashBoards platform fighter" to list of game ideas*
Except there is no Skyrim DLC fighter, there's just one singular jpg of Todd's face in the files"Dataminers Find Strings of Skyrim's Code Hidden inside of the Upcoming Game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate"
how DARE you forget about SmashBoard's collective childHuh? You lost me...
The best timelineWhat if Geno is DLC but they completely base him around the Sassy Geno leak
Eugh. Maybe I can sneak out on my lunch break or somethingThey did confirm a day one patch,
Sassy Geno is objectively better because he doesn't come from a RPG, so he wouldn't be an anime swordsmen like Lucario or K.Rool.What if Geno is DLC but they completely base him around the Sassy Geno leak
I only started posting in this thread around the time of the Grinch leak, remember? Could you get me up to speed?how DARE you forget about SmashBoard's collective child
I'll just keep making new accountsAh, death.
Life's permaban.
pfft look at this nerd having a job and getting an income to support themself lmaoEugh. Maybe I can sneak out on my lunch break or something
Yeah. I just kind of shorten fighting game to fighter sometimes.I think that by "fighter" they meant fighting game.
If the leaked/pirated copies of the game are anything to go by, I don't think the patch is required to play. It just contains bug fixes.Eugh. Maybe I can sneak out on my lunch break or something
someone made a fake image leak for Geno that was decently convincing but looked ridiculousI only started posting in this thread around the time of the Grinch leak, remember? Could you get me up to speed?
