I mean, the Japanese voice acting can still exist for those that want it. if any other language is chosen then it can be grunts. Should probably specify that I don't necessarily want the Japanese voice acting gone, but other regions or language options other than Japan should just change Cloud to not speak.

So to basically just give Cloud the Mewtwo treatment?

Kingdom Hearts series is one thing (we still don't know the full extent of his "dark" past.) but it does kind of disappoint me that the most recent impression people get of Cloud is some depressed edgelord.

As someone whose probably spent more time than he should have on studying Cloud as a character, Advent Children Complete really helped pad things out (and the novellas between the game and movie 2 years later). There's a good reason behind why he regressed the way that he did, but I also love how he came out so much stronger for it too in the end. I could go on forever, tbh.

I've never dealt with any of the FFVII spinoffs, but as far as the original FFVII goes atleast I never saw Cloud as an "edgelord" or "emo" at all. He could be a bit off a **** at the beginning, With how he was initially cold wrt to Avalanche and their mission, but it doesn't take long for him to get more serious and care about **** more.

Run speeds seem to be generally higher across the board, obviously as a way to speed up gameplay.

Happy to see Ridley being pretty high up on the list, he's the fastest running newcomer, which will come in handy as a lot of his gameplay seems to be about chasing. Was hoping for more from Ganondorf tbh.

Ridley being the fastest newcomer is really good for him and I'm glad "as light as Lucario" was false(same weight as the Belmonts is gonna be really nice actually). Now we wait for Skewer setups.

Why the heck is Charizard that fast!? But nice to see Ridley on 9-10th place with him...
Roy and Chrom being faster than Marth and Lucina is pretty interesting too, can't wait to play with them.
A little sad about Pikachu being faster than Pichu, after being the lightest character they could have given it at least this advantage...
Also, Falco being 50th place...

64: gorilla, dinosaur, fox, and mouse
Melee: falcon pheasant
Brawl: monkey, turtle, lizard, penguin, hedgehog, and wolf
3DS/Wii U: frog, hound and duck
Ultimate crocodile, shin zu, tiger

Now let's just pretend that this is totally intentional and not just a coincidence. The next Smash needs a new animal species added to the roster. Who would it be?

It is interesting that Mario and Bayo both received a 10% speed increase (1.6 to 1.76) while Ryu remains at 1.6. Likely due to Ken stealing his 10% speed buff (Ken is 1.76).

Edit: Just checked what Kirby's running speed was before to make sure:

SSB4: 1.57

SSBU: 1.727

I'm not very good with this sort of thing, but it seems like a pretty decent increase. Cool.
