Imagine Shulk Side Tilt but with the range of his FSmash and the frame data of Ganon's Jab.Yes, but you didn't say why.
Because Banjo is the only hype thing in it...All of you hate this and prefer the other list? why?
It has banjo in it. I’m just saying why?
Banjo isn't enough to carry the rest of the list for me.All of you hate this and prefer the other list? why?
It has banjo in it. I’m just saying why?
That's the messed up thing to me after a small discussion on here a while back. Steve, has had a bigger impact of gaming than Banjo. To be absolutely frank, I would prefer Steve over Banjo
And RIDICULOUS priority, don't forget thatImagine Shulk Side Tilt but with the range of his FSmash and the frame data of Ganon's Jab.
Ah okay then; I just saw it said that he was a stickler, and seeing that no DQ characters other than Slime/side-characters were in the Mario crossovers I assumed it was true, but tbh I personally know nothing about what goes on in the deals and such and I've only seen discussions and examples of the crossovers.Lmao. Toriyama is literally the easiest part to work with, the Problem is just how would the deal be made with price cut etc.
But really. Toriyama Ain't the issue. The composer is.
Whispy Woods confirmed!I've seen people suggest that maybe we'll get Kirby DLC as a thank you to Sakurai, but the two most often asked for characters are from games he didn't have anything to do with. Adeline and Bandana Waddle Dee aren't "his kirby", and the Kirby games he worked on tends to dominate Kirby's representation in Smash.
Like, even with tons of new Kirby games lately...his new stages in 4 were a Game Boy Dream Land stage and a Kirby Super Star stage. I think any supposed Sakurai bias(Which I don't really believe in regarding characters) would make Kirby DLC less likely, not more.
Unless it was Marx, but he's a boss...so no.
Everyone is always exaggerating. In this case, it's more him, who's exaggerating how much some dislike it.![]()
Newcomers were mostly third parties. That's something.I may be missing something but why do people think Nintendo is going to get one newcomer? Didnt half the the dlc roster last time were Nintendo characters? Where does this idea of mostly third party dlc come from?
I am looking forward to the next Crash games on PS2, Naughty Dog will probably nail them!Let's just pretend it's the early 2000s here in this thread from now on
Only one of the four newcomers in Smash 4 DLC was from Nintendo (I may be missing something but why do people think Nintendo is going to get one newcomer? Didnt half the the dlc roster last time were Nintendo characters? Where does this idea of mostly third party dlc come from?
Wasn't Adeline Kirby 64? If that's the case, Sakurai was probably still on the series. He left after Air Ride. Bandanna Dee was in Super Star, but by the time he was actually important, Sakurai was in his own company for a long time.I've seen people suggest that maybe we'll get Kirby DLC as a thank you to Sakurai, but the two most often asked for characters are from games he didn't have anything to do with. Don't tell me what I do fool.Everyone is always exaggerating.
You're all pretty bad about it haha
Every single one of you
All of you.
They don't dominate enough to prevent Kirby having the Ultra Sword two games in a row.and the Kirby games he worked on tends to dominate Kirby's representation in Smash.
Not really Toriyama is a character designer he didn't write the Characters. If Heroes never appears in DQ Crossovers etc it's because they're a non-entities and parallel to the players. SE doesn't want to give them a "personality" Except for literally Erdrick and some rare heroes.Ah okay then; I just saw it said that he was a stickler, and seeing that no DQ characters other than Slime/side-characters were in the Mario crossovers I assumed it was true, but tbh I personally know nothing about what goes on in the deals and such and I've only seen discussions and examples of the crossovers.
I still see it as less-likely because of the composer and having to get all 3 studios on board, and SE being stingy as people say.
The ones that exaggerate the most are the ones who deny it.Don't tell me what I do fool.
It's just bigboi triforce slashThey don't dominate enough to prevent Kirby having the Ultra Sword two games in a row.
Does it also eat projectiles?Imagine Shulk Side Tilt but with the range of his FSmash and the frame data of Ganon's Jab.
Banjo's an outdated character... literally. He spawns from two games that feel outdated to play, while staring in a generally mixed game that people don't like, and honestly feels like a "90s" character.
Steve, meanwhile, feels like his game has more of an impact on the gaming industry, making the way for a ton of indie games. Not to mention him appearing in Smash would draw in a much younger audience, which can boost sales.
To be absolutely frank, I would prefer Steve over Banjo
hey so what's your stance on banjo vs steveSteve > Banjo
3 of Smash 4's DLC characters were returning veterans.I may be missing something but why do people think Nintendo is going to get one newcomer? Didnt half the the dlc roster last time were Nintendo characters? Where does this idea of mostly third party dlc come from?
In what way do Banjo one and two feel outdated? I'll admit I dislike the level design of Tooie but the games feel fine in terms of mechanics and controls,He spawns from two games that feel outdated to play
I'm a big fan of both Fire Emblem and Pokémon, so those additions are inherently exciting to me. I think Steve could be incredibly fun and is among the biggest names not yet in. Granblue getting in is weird, but Katalina's power set kinda reminds me of Weiss so she's nifty. I don't want to really support Dragon Quest's composer, but Slime is at least cute. All of you hate this and prefer the other list? why?
It has banjo in it. I’m just saying why?
10/10hey so what's your stance on banjo vs steve
There is a BoxBoy spirit, he’s called Qbby. Unless you meant something else.In that case, here are my DLC predictions. Trying to take a definitive stance on what each slot could be. My opinions can change though.
1. Sephiroth
In my opinion, I feel like he’s the most likely SE rep. He’s a ridiculously iconic character, the sword wouldn’t be a big issue if you just made it the same size as in the original game. Square seems tor prefer their guest characters being DLC which might explain the lack of square content in the base game (there isn’t even a BOXBOY spirit). Sephy being DLC could mean more FF content as DLC would make it easier for Nintendo to share profits with Square. Just what I think.
2. Travis
Definitely pretty biased on this one haha. But I do think Travis has a shot. We know that Sakurai has at least considered Travis before, although him laughingly dismissing it probably sent a strong case. Anyways, with Travis strikes again right around the corner, he could be a promotional character for that game. Nintendo at least considered the game important enough to show at the January Switch conference, and have it shown it in multiple directs so they have a clear interest in promoting it. It could happen.
3. Banjo
You might ask why banjo over Steve, but with some recent things some insider have said, I’m leaning toward the mine craft content being spirits/a boss/a stage alongside another Microsoft character. Of these characters, Banjo just seems to make the most sense, if Nintendo is aiming for nostalgia. With Nintendo having a hand, I doubt it’ll be master chief either.
4. Heihachi
I feel it’s pretty likely Namco is getting a DLC pick, and within Namco’s arsenal, I feel Heihachi is the most likely. With Akira in as an assist, I find it a bit odd Heihachi isn’t in the game at all. Tekken is Namco’s most successful videogame franchise, and Heihachi is pretty popular. He can be adapted to 2d gameplay with some effort, but I’ll concede that it’s definitely an obstacle. This could also go to Lloyd, but I’m picking Heihachi to be definitive.
5. Doomguy
Another pretty biased pick, but Bethesda and Nintendo seems to have a pretty decent relationship these days. One can not deny Doom’s influence, to the point where Sakurai even acknowledged John Caramck in an interview once. I see Doomguy as the most likely Bethesda character due to his history and popularity, but it could also be Vault Boy or Dragonborn. Guns might be an issue, but Doomguy’s guns aren’t super realistic so they might be able to get away with it.
Correct me if I am wrong but wasnt the DLC for last smash thisNewcomers were mostly third parties. That's something.
Ah ****, that ruins the joke. I should have checked lolThere is a BoxBoy spirit, he’s called Qbby. Unless you meant something else.
It ****ing DELETED a fully charged Charge Shot from Samus, The things that do like 32% damageDoes it also eat projectiles?
That's scary
He's talking about newcomers only. So onlyCorrect me if I am wrong but wasnt the DLC for last smash this?
I would imagine that Nintendo would want to keep adding characters of their own too to promote their games and keep the whole share.
well, the charge shot was evil. dunno what to tell you.It ****ing DELETED a fully charged Charge Shot from Samus, The things that do like 32% damage
Only Banjo-Kazooie would interest and hype me up...the others nah (though Sylux I could dig)What is Your reaction to these being dlc fighters after the datamine?
View attachment 180422
It's all hypothetical. None of it is real.Did I see something about datamined extra fighters or something?
Or am I going crazy?
Oh is it one of those hypotheticals? Lol.
Don’t worry, Sakurai is just being faithful to the source material.... Just like with Bayonetta.....It ****ing DELETED a fully charged Charge Shot from Samus, The things that do like 32% damage
None of us are, when it really comes to it.None of it is real.
Richter's f tilt comes out frame 12, and ganons jab comes out frame 6 or 7.Imagine Shulk Side Tilt but with the range of his FSmash and the frame data of Ganon's Jab.
I see. Now I understand what it meant. He's talking about newcomers only. So only.
Plus we don't have any vets to bring back this time around.
