Regardless, even if the only things we got were the 6 DLC characters (Which is enough in itself), the two things I'm super excited for a much more detailed ATs and 30 open character slots, which mean that modder can easily add new characters into the game if a dedicated team was for it.

ATs like Knuckles actually have like 25% of a full moveset already, have a full hit and hurtbox, can be KO'd, and can Air dodge (so far only a few have been shown to do this) lol, which means they may he much easier to implement in the long run. There's only a few like this, but off the top of my head:

- Knuckles
- Ghirahim
- Krystal
- Walugi
- Alucard
- Grey Fox
- Zero
- Shovel Knight
- Rodan
- Black Knight
- Spring Man
- Bomberman
- Takamaru


Actually a decent number. Actually super excited to see how people play with the games assets this time around, especially since the backing for it is 100x bigger than Smash 4.

Imma learn how to mod just to get my boi Zero playable, I swear.

The most baffling thing to me is that Frederick didn't get a spirit. Awakening has three playable characters and several spirits, but Frederick is entirely absent.

Didn't they have Inigo and Owain as trophies in the 3DS but not Severa? Frederick's a cool dude (been planning on +10ing him in Heroes!) but I think they usually follow popularity charts; that'd explain why Tharja got a spirit.

Oh, I forgot one more interesting Spirit omission: anyone from Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia EXCEPT an Alm/Celica duo (both young and adult). No Silque, no Leon, very odd! Also, all the Echoes music in the game are from Alm's side of the story, not Celica.

So the biggest omissions seem to be Fire Emblem Echoes as a whole, Style Savvy as a whole, Sylux despite the presence of other hunters, True Form Elma, Cross, Porky, Funky Kong, and Tibby.

The significance of those omissions are that their game or series is repped fairly substantially by other Spirits or in the case of Style Savvy was seen in the last Smash Direct.

Again, we aren't sure if we truly know every Spirit yet, but it's curious.

Dug around the ResetERA thread and the whole Cloud not being in Adventure mode thing was just speculation/a joke from someone that thought Square would be that ****ty and it spread out of control.

Unfortunately I don't know where the original comment is, just people commenting on that comment.

But if you ask me, it makes zero sense for Cloud to be unplayable in the mode. We know he's playable in Spirits Mode, we know he has a Classic Mode route. This rumor of him not being playable in WoL just screams of fear mongering when you take a second to consider everything surrounding it.
