Only thing is that Banjo was faaaar bigger then Geno. Nobody really clamors for a new game starring Geno or something, but everyone and their mum who grew up during Banjo's heyday wants a new Banjo game that isn't garbage. Thenoise and grief over Banjo is so much larger then Geno you can't really compare the two

tbh i feel like the best we can hope for is for Banjo to get a Spyro/Crash-esque remaster. I've a;ready reached the acceptance stage of the franchise. I think it's dead for good at this point

It's definitely more plausible than them showing up if I want to be honest.

I could live with that, it'd reduce the "sky is falling" mood lately, and we could get a pleasantly surprising character in their place.

And anything that proves Verge's sources wrong is a bonus.

It was an incredibly serious situation.

The wackiness comes in with the characters depicted. That's what makes it so weird. But since it's written so well you hardly notice.

It makes sense. But... god its just a little too much. but in a meaningful way.

My cinnamon boy is freakin dead. And seeing these characters die from that, you know, yellow blast was really depressing but inevitable.
Surely we didn't see his two buddies getting eradicated. (Mega Man & Simon) But we all know they're dead for sure.

At least nothing can stop that pink puff ball.

I really think this is possible. It could be we just get Minecraft content in the form of a spirit, assist or music track if at all. If this is the case it really opens up the possibility of Rayman being one of the five DLC characters.

Never understood why they haven't returned in other Smash games (aside from Melee which was scrapped later on); I really wished they would bring em back in some form because It really brings the game some personality; gives characters some life to them. Likely it wouldn't be in anyway, but it could be rather neat nod to Smash 64.

I have ideas for which of the characters from later games could have animations from. I might make a list later. (Assuming most of 64's character animations were from the victory screen.)

Microsoft and Nintendo are getting quite close, and they help each other with Minecraft. It's on numerous Nintendo consoles.

Yeah, the whole scene was like in a Tomino anime, these fan favorites and legendary heroes getting offed almost nonchalantly. One can only imagine how Peach went out.

Minecraft makes a lot of sense actually, I don't see why we can't have both. Microsoft is lenient with the Minecraft IP, basically letting Mojang do almost whatever.

Katalina is the one that makes little sense imo.
