Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

Highly doubt it would be Xbox exclusive at this point. They'd be missing out on a huge demographic by not also porting it to switch

Yes. I bought an Xbox 360 specifically to play it, which is the ultimate buyer's remorse. It's a repetitive, dull game that repeats the same types of missions over and over in barren, bland worlds. But hey, Showdown Town is fun to mess around in at least... so there's that?

I feel like I may have gotten people a tad too excited for X018.

If they're expecting any news to influence Smash then yes, they will be disappointed and deservedly so.

Lincoln never actually does anything in the way of action outside of his building-sized, steam-powered mech in S.T.E.A.M, which is why I support Henry over him. I'd be all about Lincoln if they put him in though

Also, I don't think anyone should be watching an Xbox event solely for Nintendo-related news (unless you count B-K because they're originally Nintendo characters, dang it).

On the whole, I prefer the Japanese names, generally because they make more sense.

"Diaboromon" is a corruption of "Diablomon"
"Vamdemon" became "Myotismon", which is clever (Myotis is a genus of bats), but... you know, who knows what "Myotis" means? (that's the point, it was censorship)
"Tailmon" became "Gatomon", when "Gato" is the Spanish word for "(Male) Cat" (Tailmon is female).
"Protomon/Plotmon" (Tailmon's prevo) became "Salamon", named after the translator's cat.
"Omegamon" became "Omnimon", not bad on it's own, but then Omegamon loses it's obvious connection to Alphamon.
"Demon" became "Creepymon", which everyone (even the dub writers) hates, but Bandai insists on for some reason.
"Lilithmon" became "Laylamon", which is just... ugh... (fortunately this is restricted solely to Digimon Fusion)

To be fair, the Gatomon in Adventure is a singular character of a species, which means that a feminine terminology would only be fitting of her and any other female versions of the species. Gato on its own can just mean a generic cat along with it being a masculine version, which means it covers all members of the species more broadly then the feminine only version would and wouldn't fall into Mr. Mime issues in the future.

I'll also be fair to Omnimon since it makes complete sense in the context of not only the movie, but the character since it's a fusion of two Digimon generically, and a fusion of the hopes of those watching the events in the movie. In fact, I'd go as far as to say it's better then Omegamon in that context, it's just that the developers eventually gave the Japanese name more context with Alphamon years later that made it make more sense while Omnimon ended up looking strange in retrospect (which is probably why N0 and Tri have since reverted to the Japanese name).

Anyway, too late for that. Charcaters been decided already. Plus, her game comes way after Smash release.

That Void comic book game looks kinda cool. I’ve always been a sucker for that style, smash 64 did it.

It's been 9 days and Shadow's disconfirmation still hurts me. It'd hurt less if a friggin' Piranha Plant wasn't the last character shown... ALSO RYU GOT KEN!!! NOT FAiR!!!
