To be honest I think if you go into Smash while having a very strict list of newcomers you would be satisfied with, you're going to have a bad time.

Either that or not being open to choices you don't know much about. Like, the last two games have been the stuff of legends for me because I was open to the additions. Sure, some picks not getting in stung, but the net gains of Ridley, K.Rool, and the return of Snake (and the other vets) is simply awesome and made up for it.

I don't think I've ever been stingy, but there are a few characters that I think are...weird or boring. But I won't say anything about that at the moment.

I came into Ultimate not caring at all about Ridley and a DK character who's been dead for years, now I can't wait to try them out.

You gotta open yourself up to all the possibilities. That way you can rejoice when you get your favorites () but also find new favorites ().

It is really horrible how bare bones the Final Fantasy content is. I expected more spirits to have been revealed though.

Yeah, you'd think there'd be more people with my philosophy in regards to character choices, so this is nice to see you say. Having an open mind makes it easier for one to accept what you have until next time. Otherwise I would have eventually given up hope for Daisy, for example.

At least this franchise getting in here would be like taking your flu shots: you're nervous, but once it's done, you won't have to worry about it anymore and can focus on other things in life again.

Although it would be hilarious if Mojang/Microsoft decided to help make a Stage Builder for the next Smash.

I don't want Steve purely because of his design. His blocky appearance would be an odd contrast to the rest of the cast and I'd find him annoying for that reason alone.
I know Game and Watch is a thing but he's just a stick figure that can match the models of everyone else in the roster due to the simplistic design.

If he gets in so be it. It would suck for me to face him online but I don't have to include him in my game if I have no desire to.

But for this period of DLC I really don't care who's in or not in the grand scheme of things. Every veteran returning, K. Rool and Ridley all sold me. There could have been no DLC at all and I'd be 100% satisfied with the roster. The only character I really want to see added is Phoenix Wright but I don't think it is likely so it boils down to the character and the content from the series selling me on concept alone to buy the pack.

Right now people are fearing the worst over very modern/recent characters (Steve, Katalina, Fortnite) but it's extra content and they target a different audience. That's all there is to it.

As long as the ‘get Skyrim in Smash’ negotiations are still on, I’m good.

I am still on the frnce about the DLC and I dunno why. Usually I have no problem buying season packs and just going with it, but I stopped playing Sm4sh before Bayo and Corrin even released so I never got to play them. I guess I just need to see what’s in store first...a Rex Mii costume isn’t cutting it for me.

I agree fully... People need to remember that Smash is for all ages (At least, 10 and up of course), and adding Steve or a Fortnite Character can introduce some younger people to the franchise, like how we were introduced to it with Pikachu and Mario. Smash is a celebration of games, old and new... And i feel like adding Steve or a Fortnite character can help link the many generations of gamers

In any case, she's the most noteworthy gal one can think of besides Alena from DQ4.

Come to think of it, everybody in DQ4 is well-liked in general (except the old guy, not that many people care about him).
