No, there are differences. It's just a really small difference in shade. As a sprite artist, I gotta be able to tell these things.

I agree it's poor though. He could've been at least a dark shade of blue, not teal VS light blue.

I mean, i can tell the difference, but it's horribly minor.

Never played the games so I had no knowledge of his chances. From what I seen though he'd seem actually fun. A lawyer character would be something different yet unique. Wonder how Sakurai would have him play.

The only thing I can imagine is his "OBJECTION!" being his Final Smash.

I never considered Dante being DLC until after Kencineroar but (and correct me if I'm wrong) seeing as how the Dante leaker's DMC info still hasn't been debunked, it's entirely possible

Yeah, again, even Verg doesn't trust it, he just felt it was worth mentioning since Leaky did in fact know a SE dlc was happening.

Either way I think Sora, DQ, and Geno are the most likely reps we'll be getting (in that order)

Well, Itsuno said there were no angels, which the guy said and he said Dante's battle theme inn DMCV would be typical Shootie stuff. Listen to Taste The Blood and Locked and Loaded Black Angel Mix, which are Shootie's songs iirc. Then listen to Subhuman, which was originally done by Suicide Silence. Couldn't be more wrong. Though maybe it's still Subhuman but not screamo, all we know is Capcom's changing it after realizing the band leader is a rapist

I had a thought.

A lot of fans are going to be disappointed that other features they wanted in the game won't be in it, not necessarily characters, stages, or collectible items, but other features.

But what if Nintendo set up a page where fans could request additional new features to be added into the game in future updates?

Like getting that wrong but getting the character called V right and stuff like that feels like he definitely has some sort of info

we just don't know to what extent and whether or not he's ****ing with us

That leaves two more slots. Who. Will. It. Be!? Hoping Elma and Banjo are the last two. Sadly at this point I really don't think Black Shadow, Leon Powalski, Medusa and Nightmare are getting in.

If Vergeben + the other leakers are right, I see Elma and Bandana Dee getting in. This isn't even personal bias at play.

With the complete lack of XCX content shown and the fact that DLC was decided in 2015, Elma has a reasonably chance to be in.

As for Bandana Waddle Dee, he's pretty much the most popular 1st party choice that hasn't been deconfirmed yet. And since Piranha Plant is in, the main argument of a "generic enemy" as a playable character just got thrown out the window.

Banjo-Kazooie and Rayman are also possible 3rd party choices in case we only get 1 first party character for DLC.

U'know with Steve most likely getting in, Dante's inclusion, and possibly Sora as an SE rep I feel like people misjudge what the actual ballot results look like

I am entirely convinced the polls are useless in that respect. Who participated in the polls? Smash community. Who participated in the ballot? Literally ****ing everyone. Everyone did. Including trolls, children, and casuals

And I can see Steve, Sora, and other less than serious picks getting top spots above the likes of Geno if thats the case

EDIT: I'm not saying Steve and Sora non are serious picks I'm referring to the likes of Shrek with that statement

Tbf, ANY recognition of Boshi would've been great. Maybe he's a Spirit idk...

Pretty sure character trailers remove all those sorts of effects. PP backrolls after that and doesn't flash, the same happens to Samus when she airdodges the spiky ball.

I'd be sad there is no Banjo but would at least be happy getting Elma as she was among my six most current wants. Also would be happy for the Bandana Dee fans. It's bad enough the Isaac fans got shafted again.

Given how heavily foundational Smash 4 was to this game, I don't really see any good reason why all the ATs (and I guess Pokeballs) couldn't return. At least with the stages, most of the cuts were presumably due to clashing with things such as stage morph or due to perhaps being too technically taxing in 8-player Smash. But the assists (other than obv ones like Isabelle and Dark Samus) could've stuck around.

Especially a shame when entire series like Sin & Punishment and Advance Wars get axed.

Oh and a bit tangential, but 59 is such an ugly number, just one more and they coulda had 60...

I say this as someone who thinks its great to support characters you love, but some people just take roster picks way too personally. A lot of them interpret Sakurai making a character an assist trophy as him saying "this character and their fans just aren't important enough".

uh? most of people here know who she is, mostly because teh katalina info is old news and we did google back when the rumour appeared :/
in fact a couple of Granblue super fans even explained that she isnt the main character of the game :s.

Personally i wouldn't mind, never played granblue and never will but at least a full plate armor woman with a rapier and a cape is a full win in my book, And is kinda scary if she manages to make even 5% of the asian mobile market to buy a switch. thats... a lot of switches XD
