I've put together a mock-up of the final roster if the Grinch Leak, and the other leak that predicts a Direct this Thursday (which add Skull Kid and KOS-MOS on top of the Grinch Leak's picks) are true.

Such a beautiful roster. Xenoblade fans even get their inclusion early kinda (Yeah I know KOS-MOS was from Xenogears or whatever but she's in 2), Geno and Banjo actually make it in, Isaac shows up, AND I GET MY GODDAMN SKULL KID.

I highly doubt this is what we'll get though. I'm immediately suspicious of any leak that tries to base its legitimacy on a blog post.

And any leak that includes Skull Kid cause I'm cynical as all hell

Do agree that to discuss 'entitlement' here is plain absurd. However, assuming you mean 'lying' as in simply vying for attention, that would certainly wind me up. As I said in a previous post, I hate to see the pundit hypocrisy of old media creeping in to a media that largely has its basis in free online discussion, to say nothing of seeing it form an unholy union with the social awkwardness of said discussion.

If they’re lying because of some odd protection of their jobs, I don't really care, though it is still unprofessional that they gave an opinion necessitating something other than ‘not talking about it.’

Here’s my thoughts on all this insider nonsense:

We aren’t entitled to ANY information they have to offer. They don’t have to tell us ****.

We as a community shouldn’t harass Insiders, and other people, for stating their opinions on certain topics.

Even if they do have right info, Insiders shouldn’t act like entitled brats and should address the situation gently and be as transparent as possible.

3/4 of the time it's just discussion with friends and slip-up happens or just...YOU TALK to your friends and trust them, thinking that **** won't leak.

Which is why no Insiders tell things CLEAAARLY, because, even if they know stuff, the people who told them so are their friends and don't want to destroy this relationship for dumb child crying of characters in a video games. However, they like to "tease" and "hype up" people. Not to have any braging right, but just because they are video-game enthousiast like us.

Tried to keep the Nomura style but probably failed lmao alongside finishing the Crow symbol and removing the TWEWY characters.

As someone who was a fan of Xenosaga before ever hearing about Xenoblade, I'd love for KOS-MOS to be in, but I seriously doubt it'll happen. I don't think that's her in the banner, instead it's probably a cloud or something. I dunno.

Personally, believing the leak has nothing to do with being right or even wanting it to be true (although it would be awesome). For me, it's more about wanting to know what the roster is and all signs seem to be pointing towards it being real. I've seen lots of convincing evidence for it and nearly no convincing evidence opposing. So that's why I support it and if I'm wrong, I'm wrong. I'll love the game either way.

They are making a claim. The burden of proof is on them. When asked, they refuse to comply. So, people don't believe them, and go to what they view is the side with the most evidence - "Team Real".

It's not about entitlement. It's about incredibly childish behavior demonstrated in numerous tweets and that stream recording. This is their reaction to be asked for proof about making a claim, and it has undeniably damaged their credibility to a lot of people - even people who otherwise might like certain channels or portions of the community.

It's annoying because these are people who're acting like victims (e.g. demanding apologies) when they are absolutely privileged. That is undeniable - in the context of the community, they get easier access to games, they are privy to gaming information we are not privy to, and they are gainfully employed in an industry they love. They are not victims for being asked questions and they are dishonest for treating any "team real" party as the subset of people who are actually harassing them. At the very least, that's what Andre and this moderator did. I won't accuse Liam or Emily of that, I won't accuse Ryce of that, etc, but it's undeniable at least a few people involved in this who are insiders either acted poorly with a position if entitlement or endorsed it.

I understand that and I said that, but my point can actually be summed up with my response to the below.

I never said that, personally, but, we don't need to stoop to their level. That's just asking for trouble and nobody wins from that. There ARE ways to get what you want without stooping to someone else's level (or at least you keep moral high ground intact)

The way Nate is acting is like a little kid, he's stooping to their levels, and that's the point. There is no fair ground of treatment here and insiders are ignoring any point in the leaks favor. Which is why people are getting upset. If they said" the leak doesn't match up with my sources, but it is pretty convincing. So i guess it could go either way"

People would likely be more accepting of that answer.

Insiders and people debating the leak need to see that a middle ground should be met. we don't get anywhere by one side claiming they are fully right and the other claim their fully wrong. Its what created this tension and could have easily been downplayed or avoided if insiders and acted a little better, because regular people would have likely calmed down too.

But hey that's just my opinion.

Spoiler: Unrelated but...

You can hold reverse in Big Rigs to continue building up speed into the Undecillions, at which point your truck mathematically exists everywhere on the game world at once and activates every checkpoint at once.

If a truck were to do this in real life, it would gain mass comparable to a black hole and superimpose itself at every position in the world, tearing everything apart at a subatomic level because now you have a gravity well of apocalyptic proportions at every conceivable coordinate in all of existence.

Vergeben said he had multiple sources confirm Incineroar, hence why he didn't commit to which Pokémon it was at first, rather than making a statement based on just one source.

That said, mistakes could always be made. Liam Robertson was convinced years ago that Shovel Knight would be in Smash, because his source learned of the Shovel Knight amiibo, and made the jump in logic that it meant he was in Smash (since only Smash amiibo existed at that point).

But multiple people making that error seems unlikely. We'll see.

I would have more faith in the Grinch leak (man I love that name) if Isabelle hadn't been announced. Because before her, it seemed like every character added was targeting the Smash fanbase specifically, with all these big requests being added. The Grinch leak is more of that, and I didn't believe in Incineroar being in the game for that reason; he's not really a request like all the other fighters. But Isabelle doesn't fit within that criteria, so that's opened up the possibilities quite a bit, so Incineroar seems more likely.

What if both leaks are wrong? What kind of chaos would that unleash?

Something comparable to what I posted above, probably.

We're all saying that the next Smash Direct is happening sometime in the next two weeks, but remember that many were confident it was happening in October.

I think we should definitely at least see one before black Friday in the US to push sales, and I don't think they would do it on the week of pokemon's launch, which is why I'm thinking next two weeks.

Could always be wrong though.

Lately, I've been thinking of something. What if the base game roster ended with 72 fighters (excluding Echo Fighters)? It would make you think about who the final four might be. Isabelle is #68, so that leaves #69, #70, #71, and #72. For my possible thoughts...

• 69 - Buzzwole
• 70 - Tails
• 71 - Shadow
• 72 - Toad (major surprise for the final base game newcomer, considering that he's also present in Peach's moveset)

And if any more Echo Fighters were to be revealed...

• 14ε - Dry Bowser
• 27ε - Dark Meta Knight
• 72ε - Toadette

Thank you. My thoughts exactly on this mess. And why can’t smash fans just wait? November is right around the damn corner I’m pretty sure we are getting something in that month. Also these insider they should just remain silent for now and ignore the harassment as much as they can. At the end of the day all of this is not going to matter once the direct drops. All of this damn sure not going to matter when the game itself drops.
