Oh yes. Which is why I'm disappointed that he gets lumped in with Mickey Mouse and Goku as an impossible choice.

Being arrogant because of people being wrong is just as bad as their arrogance about their belief the leak is real. Don't stoop to their level, even if it's tempting. If this ends up being fake these people who put all their money down on it will become loud about it regardless.

Yeah, there's been a lot of immaturity and unnecessary spite on both sides. Wishing for something to be real or fake just to humiliate or belittle someone is not cool IMO. Besides, no one is going to care or even remember who was wrong/right and who said what by the time the game comes out anyways.

So This being a possible stage in Smash Ultimate isn't too far fetched...
And the text leak including 9 Characters (adding Skull Kid and KOS-MOS) on 4chan along with those confirmed with the Grinch leak is a bit much.
Both of these add-ons to the Grinch roster have been mentioned previously in specualtion, but I think Skull Kid has a better chance of making the cut.

yeah, but it isn't an actual location you can travel in the game. technically it'd be fitting as a home stage for Geno if your a stickler for specifics but literally everyone else who even knows Geno associates him with the Forest Maze.

The guy Andre is quoting makes a good point.

Gamexplain probably can't make a discussion about it, because doing so would give away what information they do know and, well, it'd be super boring (and make the problem worse) to just hear them saying, "it's fake but we can't really tell you why, bye."

There's also the fact that they could run afoul of Nintendo by discussing it; as journalists, if they make it obvious they know information they aren't supposed to, Nintendo could very well cut their journalistic privileges with them.

The fact that Gamexplain isn't doing a discussion video because they know things is an open secret at this point; whether the information they know is correct is actually not relevant.

Let's say, for the sake of argument, that the information they were given was leak bait, and Nintendo gave this list to someone they suspected was a leaker deliberately to catch them. If Gamexplain came out and gave the entire list that they were given, Nintendo would know it was that guy, and fire him; other leakers would know not to trust Gamexplain with information, and they'd never get any other leaks again; some would argue that neither of these are bad things, but consider that if you are known to just give out the information you're given from leakers, who's to say you won't give out information directly from Nintendo?

It is in Gamexplain's best interest to keep quiet and not out the leaker, for the sake of their business relation with official sources who actually matter.

Honestly this makes sense but they still seemed a bit too aggressive with how they handled this so far imo. There must have been a way to do it where they aren't holding a neon sign over their head saying "WE KNOW THINGS"

Even if they are in a situation where they couldn't reveal actual details they knew it still seems the way they went about this has caused more issues than it fixed. Because of how against any kind of discussion they are with it, it has made people suspicious and deduce that they do actually know something. Which becomes its own problem since people now know that they know things and won't talk about it.

Also makes it harder to trust their opinion from now on since what part of future discussions is opinion and the "analysis machine" and what part is "Nintendo gave us info and told us what to say"?
