I'm team real in this Baguette Namco leak
Insiders are saying it doesnt match up with their info but Insiders tend to miss stuff, if Verge got the K.Rool info he would have said it in an instant, and from more personal side, if someone claims they have info but just has text to back it up then he may aswell be another speculator here (this does include that dude who hinted at Cloud, if you know something, say it, if you dont, keep it to yourself)
Also all of the info outside of any Smash relation like the linkedin account, the Grinch merchandise, and various other details support it
Even without mentioning it uses assets not disclosed to the public, like the background and the individual character renders
Plus, I doubt any schmuck would make 5 different renders, move the already existant renders around, add any necessary details, try to fit those aforementioned 5 renders somewhere because you dont have the background to be flexible with positioning. Also, if someone is able to do all of this and still make the dumb mistake of leaving enough of your name to get found out then wow, tis leak wont be the most surprising thing I've seen this month.

Ive got some real data, time and other facts to prove my argument. So tell me, how is it invalid that i say this leak is impossible?

Because you can't deny that the possibility is there, no matter how you spin it. Your argument is that 7 characters is impossible, and im curious do you work for Sora Ltd? Do you personally know Sakurai and his work ethic? Im just curious cause i can see you have 300 IQ and id like your input.

It's the same level of pattern building and theorising that people gave the Box Theory and people who believe it crud for.

Interesting how this one is okay, though, because it has characters that are liked in it...

this one is okay because it would take a team of highly trained professionals with the previously unreleased renders straight from Nintendo to create this sort of thing.

Let me make it clear; it's a Snapchat video recorded on a phone that wasn't meant to show off the Ultimate leak from what I understand.
It's because this leak wasn't intended.

We don't even know that the dude working at the company intended for this to be a public leak. It appears that he took a video and sent it privately to someone else, who proceeded to take screenshots. "The one and only reason" is total hyperbole when you consider the possibility of, I don't know, stupidity? The leak also has a massive LOL written on it.

If he took video/photos of it to share with another human being he wouldn't have it be so blurry.

Under what circumstance would you ever take a video or picture of something to show with anyone and have it be completely out of focus? Under what circumstance would you take any video or photo out of focus?

If the leak is real, why did the leaker not take a clear picture of the poster? Why are the other pictures clear, but the actual leak itself is blurry, like every other fake leak? The one and only reason for it to be blurry is to cover up the fact that it's just a Photoshop job and would be obvious if we could see it in finer detail.

There are many scenarios where the leak could be fake or real, if you don't want people blindly claiming it's real then don't do the opposite and just claim it's obviously fake despite many of the things it has going for it or the work that has already been done trying to find oddities and such to deconfirm it.

I've been thinking about Sakurai's "a few more characters" comments and I've been thinking: few is a word that is really dependent on your perspective.

In a group of 12 people, eight people would be a lot. But in a group of 30, eight would only be a few people.

When Sakurai says "a few more characters", he's leaving it up to interpretation over how many characters "a few" actually is. For reference, there are 7 characters in this leak.
- Is he referring to "a few more newcomers to show off"? This is what a lot of people are thinking, and why 7 being "a few" seems odd as that's around half of the total newcomers for the game. But there is another perspective I've been thinking about...
- Is he referring to "a few more characters to show off"? In a game with 70+ characters, 7 more characters certainly would be considered "a few".

The context of this phrasing was "we still have a few more characters to show off", which leaves me feeling like Sakurai isn't making the distinction between veteran and newcomer when he reveals characters. Especially because the website is lacking the NEWCOMER/VETERAN labels that have been a feature of both Brawl and Smash 4 websites.

RIP Sakurai. They shouldn’t have decided to wait until possibly November to reveal the game, and now the roster seems like it’s already been leaked... Well it seems 1 to 2 characters weren’t even leaked yet according to Spawn Wave.

By the looks of it, if this is real, congrats to Geno, Isaac, and Banjo after years of support and dedication they finally get their character playable. For me, it’s going to be a little daunting that Isaac is actually playable (but sadly no Felix but eh).

It’s surprising to me that all of Gematsu’s characters are actually going to be playable in this game with Chorus kids, it seems that Sakurai finally got to get them working. And I’m looking forward to Mach Rider. 4 new Nintendo IPS, with Golden Sun, Rhythm Heaven, and Mach Rider alongside Splatoon seems great to me.

Anyways, I’m still supporting for Elma and Lycanroc. Spawn Wave sort of stabbed me saying that Incineroar is possibly in (good luck to you guys) but regardless I’m still supporting them and I think they have shot, and I think Elma can possibly be the one to make a sleeper comeback.

Though, with potentially 7 brand new characters and 2 echoes, is a little crazy. I’m still wary that this can be fake, but by the looks of it, if this is in fact real, it surpasses even my expectations.

Yeah thats not going to happen. This is by far the biggest possible leak ever for smash. Not only that, its immensely satisfying for a lot of people, an actual true first because most people end up disappointed by final reveals. People would be disappointed if its not.

But its very likely real.

That's the literal opposite of how it works.
People are innocent until proven guilty. Leaks are fake until proven real.
If you can't get past one roadblock, the whole case falls. If you accuse someone of murder but they have proof they couldn't be there at the time, they're innocent unless you can discredit the claim.
If the leak has one thing that shows it was faked, then you can't call it real until you can discredit that claim.

While I agree there were many things in that Tweet that were reaching, wrong, or unsubstantiated--there's a very real difference from inferring stuff about a box missing information than analyzing a picture with character artwork on it. Ones a theory (really hypothesis), the other is a leak (real or fake--a visual piece of evidence that's purported to have been released early). I think that's enough to distinguish the two, but judging by that Tweet itself, there's no difference.

The fact that they left the rocket cloud in the part of the picture where there are no character, is unprofessional and makes no sense.

There are many of those details that debunk this picture, it's 100% fake, I'm sorry.
I want it to be true because I like the roster (except Chorus Kids because I prefer Karate Joe), but there are proofs that it's fake.

edit: Yeah, they're not. The background template doesn't have them, but the leak does, and they're with Luigi like they should be. I also don't see what you're talking about.

I am still on team hmmmmm, but if I may say, about the insiders, they may say it doesn't line up with what they have all they want, but so far, they have done little else to disprove this leak, if anything. Saying it is not real does not disprove a leak. You need more evidence than just that. Being not allowed to talk about it, in my opinion, isn't the best reason for not doing so when you could still do something and have evidence to disprove it. Besides, as you said, insiders can be wrong sometimes, and can't be fully relied on no matter how credible they are.
