Ok, assuming this leak is real, what are your expectations/desires for DLC now?

Mine are:
-Paper Mario
-Dixie Kong
-Impa
-Bandana Waddle Dee
-Medusa
-Rex/Pyra/Mythra
-Spring Man
-Pokemon
-3rd Party

Bonus: With these many 3rd Party reps, do you think DLC will add even more like in Smash For, or will it be mainly 1st Party?

I think about half might be third party and the other half might be first party.
My lineup would probably be.

First party: Bandana Waddle Dee, Paper Mario, Spring Man, Rex and they will probably shove in an advertisement character in there too (Probably gen 8 Pokemon)
Third party: Professor Layton, Phoenix Wright, Rayman, Sora, Heihachi

Bonus, if DLC echoes are a thing: Medusa, Apollo Justice/Miles Edgeworth, Ribbon Girl, Octoling and maybe Dixie Kong

Assuming this leak is real of course.

Luigi, I'm gonna be real with you:

I'm taking that stance with this leak because I want it to be real so bad. I was done with characters. My thoughts were more on what modes there were. If box was legit, then oh well, I was already satisfied with Inklings. Everything that happened after them was a bonus.

But dang it, Mach Rider, Chorus Boys, Shadow, and Banjo & Kazooie? I'd lose it for any of those.

Absolutely feel you. I thought Incineroar, Ken, Shadow, maybe the SE rep and maybe even Steve were it. That was it.
This has turned my world upside down.

Sora's echo would easily be Roxas. Dude's literally a copy ("other") him.

Box Theory is basically dead at this point, with the back of the switch bundle from the eBay listing proving it can have empty slots and possibly doesn't have the full roster, i don't see any reason to stick to it anyways, having more newcomers is better than lowering your expectations to 2

The box leak's not the ****ing Switch Bundle, it's the LE that comes with a Pro controller and Steelbook case.

What's interesting is the leak is missing at least one character, so it could be fake or timed for a certain release with certain reveals.

This is what I was waiting for. A huge problem with this "leak" is it conflicts with a lot of sources, which is fun and nice too.

I seem to be the only one in this thread that interpreted this tweet as, it's probably fake then. Idk is that just me?

Still, that gut feeling is still there, sadly. I just don't think he's happening. We'll see though.

The box is still not disproven. Banner adds more characters, but the authenticity is still in debate. We know the box is real.
It is still going on. Banner just needs more time to bake.

That's not "a few" at all

Clearly he meant "few" as in "FEW" or Fire Emblem Warriors, which also features Echoes characters. This means we're getting 25 newcomers total, much like FEW's roster size

Love you Shi :") honestly you probably shouldn't care for him! He's not that important of a guy, he appeared once, but he's just such an underdog and lives only due to popularity which combined with my childhood love of SMRPG so I'm pretty ecstatic.
If it increases your hype at all, though it also may drop it: Geno has a special move where, if timed absolutely perfectly, it can deal 9999 damage. Imagine if Geno Whirl (the move) had a Peach-like mechanic where it had a, say, 1/1000 chance to deal 9999 damage and take out the enemy.
Now imagine that at EVO Grand Finals

Chun as DLC would be massively hype actually. Also, first time seeing someone give a solid 0 to Banjo, dang Shi

Also my take on the Springman vs. Rayman: Springman looks like they're dragging his model back and forth in an image editing software, Rayman had us fooled for days...c'mon Pakky.

Geno is banned from Smash tournaments until his ultimate counter is found and the Smash community has to resort to their worst enemy: Bayonetta.

I never cared for Banjo and how much his fans exaggerate his popularity, importance or whatever else has made me grown tired of him.

Here's my thinking of how I'll go with this. I'll remain a bit skeptical.

But again, I will say I do hope it's true.

Just remaining on the skeptical side so I can keep any giddiness I have in check for this final newcomer list until it's officially confirmed. And on the case it does turn out fake, I will have kept skepticism enough that I won't be a part of the meltdown this site will have in that scenario heh.

Because saying "We have several characters left" would be too revealing. This isn't "Sakurai lies", this is "Sakurai isn't going to indicate how many are left and if anything will undersell rather than oversell."

"Several" is "More than two but not many"
After he said "a few" we got K Rool and Isabelle.
So no, "several" leaves us in the same position as "a few" in this instance.

Yea the thing with lots of Banjo fans is they're CONVINCED this dude is THE mascot of the N64 and it gets a bit absurd at points.
It's okay to just want a character because they're a childhood favorite like a lot of mine. You don't gotta tell us time and time again "he was up there with MARIO dude" you know?
