Been playing the Luigi’s Mansion remake on 3DS for the first time

It’s a great game for sure but I don’t get why everyone prefers it over Dark Moon. It was way more mechanically interesting and varied. It also had way more content with the multiplayer mode and being roughly twice as long as the original. the portrait ghosts are about the only thing I’d say the first game does better but their absence hardly ruins Dark Moon like i’ve seen so many people claim

I'll just answer the ones I can.

Dragonborn - Call Dragon

Summons Odahviing with a Shout, who then roars loudly and annihilates affected enemies with a fully charged Fire Breath Shout.

Vault Boy (lol pip-boy) - War Never Changes

Opens up the Pip-Boy and opens up a screen with a holographic button. He then presses it, and then gives his signature thumbs up as a missile from above lands behind him, destroying the surrounding enemies.

Steve? - Ender Dragon

Steve? brings up an Ender Dragon Egg, throws it into the air, immediately hatching into a fully grown Ender Dragon, who fires purple fireballs similar to Ness and Lucas's FS's.

I feel like if they included Agumon, Sakurai would opt for a retro inspired digivolutions... Being Greymon and Metal Greymon... Where as the others originated in an anime.

Dixie's final smash could have a cinematic animal buddy rampage, Rambi, Ellie, Enguarde, Squitter,etc all charging at the opponent at once or a certain group of them attacking the opponent separately with each move. Would be a nice touch recognizing the animal buddies, who are a staple of the series, in particular the original trilogy and many of which would make great assist trophies. Don't think there is much else out there for Dixie, perhaps a guitar related attack but that sounds less exciting.

Maybe dress it up as a Kong concert and have Lanky on the trombone, Chunky with the triangle and Tiny on the Sax. Haha.

Banjo Kazooie - Apart from the obvious Jinjonator, the Daddy T Rex transformation from Banjo Tooie. Or possibly a cinematic which sees them launch into the air off a flight pad, shooting eggs mid air at the opponent before finally Beak Bombing them to finish off.

Skull Kid - The Moon (the obvious answer)
Dixie Kong - "Guitar Riff" (similar to DK's Konga Beat Final Smash, but is shorter and requires no inputs)
Isaac - Judgment (similar to Lucario's Aura Storm, but a single, large shot instead of )
Black Knight - Eclipse (five powerful slashes)
Agumon - Omegamon: Grey Sword and Garuru Cannon (comes down in the background and slashes once with his sword, then fires a shot from his cannon, the slash would have a wide hit-box that touches most of Final Destination's ground)

[Dub only Digimon fans will know these attacks as the Transcendent Sword and Supreme Cannon]​

Shadow the Hedgehog - Super Shadow [Similar to Sonic's new Super Sonic FS, but deals less damage with each strike and ends with a Chaos Burst)
Doctor Eggman - Death Egg Robot [functionally similar to the new Giga Bowser]
Assassin's Creed character - I'd actually go for "Assassin Recruits", a mechanic from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (among others) where other Assassins come out of nowhere and help the Player Character
Son Goku - Spirit Bomb, or if he has to be Super Saiyan in battle "Meteor Smash"

As someone who has the orginal in their top ten games of all time, I will admit some of it is nostalgia. I love Dark Moon and do believe mechanically it does a lot better, but there is something truly special about the original. It feels so different compared to other Mario games and really stands out thanks to its more realistic artstyle compared to DM's more cartoony style. Also, while no portrait ghosts didn't hurt DM in the end thanks to its superb puzzles and enjoyable settings, I will also say that it would have been nice to have them. The mission based gameplay also hurt the game a bit. I mean, how much it hurt is REALLY exaggerated IMO, but it was a bit of a problem regardless. LM1's free exploration, while linear in progression, was more seamless and natural feeling than constantly being interrupted during exploration in DM.

I think LM3 has a chance to dethrone LM1. The tight level design of DM with LM1's exploration? Yes please!

Yeah I know I've seen the event, but there is literally nothing to connect the two and it is a bot that can be used by anyone. There is not any reason to believe it.

Speaking of DS, I just got Dragon Quest IX. So far, it looks like it'll be a standard medieval story, but with angels or something like that. Gameplay's pretty typical for a JRPG.

WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon originated in the "Digimon Pendulum 5.0: Metal Empire", well before their first appearance in the anime.

Omegamon's first appearance was in "Digimon Adventure; Anode Tamer" (a video game released in 1999, months before "Digimon Adventure: Our War Game!",, known to Westerners as Part 2 of Digimon: The Movie, "Our War Game!" came out in March 2000 in Japan), but it also appeared in "Digimon Pendulum ZERO: Virus Busters". which came out in the same month as "Our War Game!".

I've heard about Days of Ruin. Wasn't it considered the "Black Sheep" of the Advance Wars series?

It is. But it was actually my first one, so I have an emotional attachment to it. Plus I liked the gritty aesthetic.

I seem to have a thing for black sheep, apparently. (Days of Ruin, Resident Evil 5, Dragon Age 2, Twilight Princess, Bionic Commando in general...)
