The August Direct was a couple days beforehand.
I don’t remember: what was the buildup for Robin in Sm4sh? I know the trailer was a surprise, but I assume there was at least a “hey, check this out! We’re livestreaming something in 10 hours!”
That would be a pretty cool reveal, not gonna lie, since Chun-Li is one of my favorite Street Fighter characters.
Which is something I'm surprised people don't get lol. The remaining could just be used for other places on the packaging, if there are more, which I'm 95% certain those 2 are not it.
The Robin/Lucina trailer was announced like, 12 hours in advance on Sakurai's twitter iirc.

You mean the leaker that more or less supports what Vergeben has been saying? I thought you hated Verg.
Possible reason why people over look this leaker is because Vergeben's partner claimed that the leak support little to evidence of being true. Or so I heard..

Based on what has been happening, I consider it likely that they will announce the remaining characters sooner rather than later. Sakurai mentioned how there wouldn't be newcomer trailers up until release, which makes me think they're going to get the characters out of the way soon and any future direct will focus on other features. Something similar to the 50-fact thing Smash 4 had.

Reveal for DLC if he does come in. Though if I recall I think the leaker said that the Smash info is uncertain since he isn’t much of fan of Smash? Just take this as a grain of salt for now.
The blog hasn’t even caught up with everything from E3.
Yeah there's still stuff left, but at the same time, from what I remember, we didn't catch up with June's Direct either by August.

At this point, pretty much. Unless if they wanna post the Pokemon Sun & Moon remix and that sweet, sweet Central Highway arrangement. I think oddly enough, all signs might be pointing to a separate reveal. It makes sense to get the gun before anyone else does it and before November and development finishes in two weeks or so.
The POTD announced three days before that they were revealing a newcomer through a livestream on the official site on July 14th at 7:00 AM PST. The exact post:

We ignore that "leak" because it was a random anon comment on another rumor thread. This person is NOT the only person who has predicted Isabelle for september. Many people here have lol. Does that make them credible leakers?

is saying about it, that Ken and Incineroar are possibly the next 2 characters revealed (possibly something to do with being both Fire-based fighters) and are the last 2 characters on the box. However, that would only be the final 2 based on the time the box is printed.
The Dante leaker literally said Ken and Incineroar were in. Earlier tonight you were laughing about Verg being cucked by music theory.
