Exactly, Chrom using Ike's aether isn't farfetched cause of their body types are very similar.

This is why the idea of Dixie being an echo can't work cause it would require different animation from Dk's up b alone since they have drastically different body structures not to mention the lack of reliance on her ponytail would be a sin.

...eh...that's not exactly the issue.

Dixie can be an Echo of Diddy with a different Up Special.
It just can't be taken straight from DK and instead it would just be something that uses the ponytail to fly up.

Oh, she can still be an Echo. She doesn't have to have that Up B. She can use the jetpack just fine.

It just means her having that move means she's unlikely to be an Echo. The move isn't a guarantee to be in, really.

Also, according to what Vaanrose talked about, Dixie and DK actually have similar proportions. The animations are clearly different, so that would require a new animation(which considering Final Smashes, Sakurai is willing to make some. He made quite a few for Dark Samus).

Yeah it's a shame that Dark Samus ended up being an echo instead of a semi clone.
They probably thought they could get away with the idea. It seems like Echoes aren't too crack up to be in now.

If it's a Direct, it'll be announced this week(Wednesday or Thursday are my bets), if it's just a Reveal Trailer, expect the announcement on Monday.

I actually did the calcs a month ago.


The "NEW" banner disappeared after the 8.8 Direct on August 24th, and Isabelle was meant to be revealed on September....6th iirc?


It was up for roughly 2 weeks.


Isabelle's new was added on the 13th, so it's been up for about three weeks at this point.


There was no NEW banner for the June Direct.

General Directs get revealed a day before, Specials Directs (whether it's Smash, Pokemon, Xenoblade or even Dragalia Lost recently) tend to get revealed a week or at least a couple days in advance and Mini Directs just get shadow dropped.

That's pretty much been how Nintendo has rolled for years now.

But another problem, it goes against her character if her ponytail gets ignored. If they were willing to give Isabelle some differences between Villager to fit her character, Dixie should follow the same route. She never played exactly like Diddy in the Dkc games.
