I hope no one considers it a port at this point, no matter what the outcomes of these theories are. It was proven not to be a port at E3. lol

None. Because the box theory didn't change that some still thought it was a port even after all this new information. And the fact it was told to us the game was built from the ground up.

Before that, there was no way to know as is, so it was understandable to wonder if it was the case.

The fact that Nintendo are protecting that character at all cost makes me think it's a VERY big deal.
I wouldn't be surprised to wake up with Noctis/Lightning or Squall in Smash anymore right now.

Also I realized...If the """""rumor"""" (I say this because I still don't believe that at all) about the character being Announced during the Games Awards 2018 and is in relation with his series... there is actually TWO Square-Enix games that could compete.
Dragon Quest XI for Best RPG
and...Kingdom Hearts III for most anticipated Game of 2019.

That's just a theory based on a faulty rumor, and since we don't know the nominee yet, we can't even speculate at all.

Yes cuts was the biggest fear I had prior to the everyone is here trailer and honestly I'm highly against the idea of someone else's favorite character(s).

Apparently the Japanese Youtube playlist for the character trailers in Ultimate was updated 2 days ago.

This same playlist had a similar lowkey update about a week or so before Isabelle was revealed.

Just looked her up, she has a pretty interesting design!

I love her design. Her moveset would be grapple focused, too, with a focus on catching attacks and using them on the opponent. Look up the boss fight against Cerberus Alpha for an example of one of the coolest parts of the game that really show off her moveset potential. She's such a long shot but she is my true dream addition.

My biggest fear was it being a port, because, to be honest, Smash Wii U had some pretty big problems that I didn't want to go through again

I've said it before and I'll say it again - my box skepticism has nothing to do with characters. I'm not expecting that 'extra characters' will suddenly get Dovahkiin playable.

My one question with this is why Ken has to be the one to fill out the box. He could, but I think it's equally likely that they left that extra space blank next to Cloud (or before Shulk). That would put the empty space at the bottom back corner of the box - which as soon as Isabelle is put in, would make the two sides match with the bottom back corners blank. What is my evidence? None...except that's precisely what the card did, when it put a blank before Ryu to match the blank after Isabelle.

Ken is probably still in because of Vergy/the picture. I don't think because of the box. Correlation does not imply causation.

Because the Ken argument is not a look at the box theory on its own, its looking at the box theory and Vergeben theory in tangent. If Ken is in (and he's very likely to be in) he has to show up next to Ryu in that box for their pattern to work. There's nothing directly part of the box theory that suggest Ken, only indirectly.

But taking all the factors into account, either Ken is in and we're probably getting two more characters, or Ken isn't in and we might get quite a few more.

Or Ken is in and just not on the box for some reason.

Or the box is really just a place holder despite its specific pattern and we've got 10 more on the way and they're all gonna be on the box.

Or the box was an illusion all along, there never was a Smash Ultimate, wake up Neo.

A grappling mechanic would be pretty unique honestly...
I mentioned me wanting Freddy, though it’d never happen. I imagine His attacks would be from FNAF World and maybe a Jumpscare stun attack.

Yes, we've been talking about it all morning. It also happened for the August direct too. My guess is a possible singular trailer next week, possibly announced this weekend.

That was one problem, but the biggest problem I had was how annoying they made custom stages. Trying to draw a straight line with the stylus was torture, because it would end up not being straight 90% of the time. It was much easier in Brawl... I'm not the only one who's obsessed with custom stages, am I?

I think it's possible that Nintendo is keeping the SE character from leaking at all costs just out of respect for Square Enix as they own the character and how they try to keep leaks from happening, which would be the same case even if it's Geno.

That possibility...Which is realistic, but I still can't stop thinking about that Square-Enix Intern that disapeared in the surface of earth like, no more twitter and deleted all Smashboard/Resetera account after talking about the Sora / Geno+Mallow leaks and saying he knew "CharacterS that won't be in."
He probably got caught. I can sadly feel it...

For me he is, and despite his leaking people have assumed he was in since echos became a thing.

But despite that no character is really a LOCK. Fake leaks can be really really good.

I agree with that, the custom stage Builder was way better in Brawl to be honest.
I actually made like 102 stages(hilarious in hindsightght much) I had a lot of fun with it despite its limitations.

Oh, we dropping hot Persona takes? P3 is overrated, and the only truely notable thing about it is the ending. 5, both parts of 2 and 4G far surpass it.


Also PQ is a chore to play.

Melee: A seasoned mature woman that aims to keep you up all night and coming back for years...

Brawl: A drunk party girl that trips over herself a lot but is really good at telling stories and has a lot of cool friends from out of town.

WiiU: An upright bussiness woman who stays cool under pressure though she knows the ship is sinking but brings her best anyway, calling up as many young upstarts and old friends as possible to keep things running.

3DS: Same as Wii U but a shortstack that takes you on adventures.
