Thing is, Street Fighter will have 36 songs this time.
My fear is that it will simply be the CPS1, CPS2, and remixed themes of the 12 characters in the Champion Edition roster. At least we'll get Guile's theme though, and Dictator and Claw's themes are pretty dope.

I hope they go beyond Champion Edition.

If the leak is real someone will lose the job, not only for Smash, this guy won't work on another game for sure. I know a guy who works with big budget videogames (REAL AAA games) and the companies are very serious with this ****, even after release. They can't say in which project they work in many cases, not even in their CV. If the people know that you work in X game, they will come at you next time looking for info. Just for preventing leaks, those things can cost a lot of money and reputation.

Only one picture posted and it was of Ken and 3 random vets.

Why not 4 different Kens doing different taunts(and showing different alt colors).

Why not Ken and another newcomer.

Why do we have to wait to see more pictures from him?

Guys don't believe just any picture leak, just because its not blurry and has effort put into it doesn't mean its real. Not saying its automatically fake but I'm not giving the guy attention until he actually does something new.

Thing is, there's too much in this picture that's hard to dismiss. And the things people _have_ tried ended up being inconsistencies, bugs, and fluid assets that are present in other SSBU pre-release media. It's pretty darn solid so far.

The question is, if we see nothing else, why?

A few possible explanations.

- They get caught.
- The leak is fake, and having done such a good job making it convincing, the leaker quits while they're ahead to avoid messing up in the future.
- They just don't really want to, perhaps wanting to see the community squirm.

If I did a SNES era only roster it'd be pretty close to yours though. Fully sprite based too.

I disagree, since as I just mentioned, there are a few reasons this could be all we get even with the leak being real.

Gonna repost this as I think it got buried pretty quickly under all the people writing the leak off this morning based on a gut reaction.

People can point out how Ken's foot clips through the floor or Pichu's render cuts off in a similar position as in old footage, but to me one of the strongest points in the leak's favor is still that Ken's gi has what appears to be the same polygon count as Ryu's, despite the fact that the only Smash Ryu model available to the public to use in a fake leak has a different polycount.

What if the picture isn't even new? We know if it's real it's from an old build, the leaker could've been sitting on it for a long time so that they wouldn't expect them or something

Guile’s theme was all that was needed for me when it comes to Street Fighter music

Sakurai has no need for Nintenjas when he can deal with leakers himself...so this picture is accurate as ****

People who leak things end up losing their lives to Daddy Sakurai so I doubt they’ll want to do it to him again

Not really though? If anything, having _more_ images is less believable. Someone with this level of access is risking their career by posting it and can't just freely sit around taking snapshots of the game. If it's fake, then they're putting an ungodly amount of effort only to risk screwing up with each subsequent image.

The timezone on the timestamp in the image meta-data is +2. The only Nintendo branch this would match is the relatively new Nintendo Russia?

Nintendo Russia would be on GMT+4 at least.

GMT+2 could be any country in CEST (daylight savings time for most Western European countries including France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Italy).

If Steve is in the game and the SE character is Lara or Sora, then Sakurai really went all out on this roster.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around just how many legendary franchises we might be getting in this game.

But this is, again, assuming that the leaker could just sit around and snap pictures. Game development in big companies is pretty locked down and deadlines are ever looming. Even after a game goes gold there's a lot of last minute changes to be made with peripheral projects. Nobody has the time to just laze around taking screenies.

And if it is fake, then all that really tells us is they're smart enough to not fall into the attention magnet pitfall that every other fake leaker does by trying to continue faking. That's possible, but the only evidence supporting that theory is an absence of other evidence. It's like proving a negative.

Why does this confirm Steve in any way? I mean we all knew Ken was getting in since Vergeben and box theory. This leak isn't connected to someone saying Steve, and Vergeben only said that it was a possibility.
