Why is there a blue line through Pac-man and Pichu's name part on the bottom? What could that be?

It's probably a performance bar of some kind or a debug ui element.

It would also imply Sakurai is all about making DLC characters before the game is even complete, which is something he has explicitly stated he was against.

The development timeline of the DLC characters shows the statement was most probably just a PR statement as developers and PR rarely admit to planning DLC before the game is released; there's certainly no way work didn't begin on Mewtwo before Smash3DS was complete, but besides that, remember Sakurai has stated a unique newcomer takes over a year to make, Ryu however was released within 9 months of Smash3DS' Japanese release, showing that Lucas/Roy/Ryu also began work before Smash3DS completed.

Ken's is faded because of where Pac-Man is. If you look closely, you can see the render.

Oh! That's there to measure the CPU processing power for like certain things that may cause the game to lag, I've seen it plenty of times before.

They did remove some mechanics from him that were inspired by Pokémon games, but it's a good thing he did because they definitely did not translate well to Smash.

yeah, sadly elemental weakness to only 3 characters doesn't work....

That being said, Switching and smart switching is an essential part of competitive pokemon gameplay... so now that switch is an actual vgalid strategy IMO Pokemon trainer represents very well, the battle mechanics.

okay so Pac-Man's arm is cut in the E3 demo, but the position might be slightly different with where part of his fist is.

However, Moray Towers still being super detailed while lacking the ink seems like a huge point in favor of this leak; I guess we can discard the portraits.

Basically. Imagine that the Square-Enix rep is probably top priority and a VERY big things to not get revealed. Maybe only a tiny team work on it on purpose.

But wouldn't practically any third party wanna send in the goons to make sure stuff doesn't get talked about outside of the studio? Even though the whole ordeal with the second Square rep is weird, this whole "jobs will be on the line thing" seems to be more dramatic than it seems.

Well, a large percentage of them are echoes, who represent a much smaller workload and aren't really counted as new characters.

Still, that text leak is giving a way too large number of newcomers.

Okay, this seems super real. Pichu's portrait shouldn't really disconfirm it, as the portraits have never been consistent from what we've seen. Heck, I remember there even being an instance where two Inkling portraits weren't the same in the same match

It all depends on the source. If the source is closer to Konami source or not.
Vergeben probably have a Konami and Bandai source for leaking SC/Castlevania Collection/Jump Force and Snake/Simon.


And not only that, it can also differ from the Company, Konami can be more carefree and Square can be Stingy as hell.

How can literally anyone be disappointed by the Pokemon representation in Smash?

I don't like 3 Pokemon being mashed into 1 character. And I don't like Types getting multiple Pokemon while other Types continue to go unrepresented.

It's BS that we're getting another fully evolved Fire starter before getting our first Grass one.
