Can anyone recap what series are now basically confirmed not getting newcomers.

Well, it's moreso "likely not getting unique newcomers." Echoes are still fair game as evidenced by Dark Samus, meaning Ken and possibly Shadow and Dixie Kong are still in the race regardless of what series have or have not had tracks shared, at least.

Remember that Mario has two music icons. No other franchises have two music icons. Not to mention we still have Verge to go off of.
Geno isn't dead yet.

I've never heard the original, so I can't compare it to anything, but I don't hate it, and that's a very good thing for AC music because I'm going to have to hear this A LOT. **** Smashville.

It's pretty clear though that the song was pushed back a week along with the direct as to not be revealed before isabelle, that's the whole point of the music theory

Yes, and it makes sense. You pair relevant music with a character. The problem with this theory is that everyone expects there to be only one track per franchise posted yet there's nothing saying otherwise.

Just saying people freaking out should relax a bit.

Hmm...Welp, can't say I expected music theory to be legit, lol.

IMO, this helps Box Theory and Verge quite a bit. Incineroar is pretty much locked in now, in my eyes. While I was neutral on Verge and Box, however...I'm starting to come around. There still isn't any hard evidence and anything could happen, but dang if there aren't a lot of weird coincidences going on right now.

Neither was I. I am no Animal Crossing fan, but from what I experienced, there may not be a lot of AC songs that use the electric guitar.

So what series we missing then?

Star Fox, Xenoblade, Mother, WarioWare, Kid Icarus, Punch-Out!!, Sonic, Pokemon, Game & Watch and Wii Fit are the only series with their specific emblem not yet seen on the site. So if music theory is true then unique newcomers would come from those. Final Fantasy and Bayonetta disconfirmed due to having the same number of songs as Smash 4.

Obviously we can remove Game & Watch and Wii Fit from the equation. I think Star Fox, WarioWare and Punch Out!! are guarantees to have music shown soon. Leaves the rest as suspicious for now.

Real talk though, they sure seem to ignore Peppy and Slippy and go for the more physically fit SF characters. That is assuming anyone new from SF will get in at all.

There is no likelihood. There are no "chances" for a character. They are in or they are not.

Music Theory is definitely the one that has the most evidence in it's favor, but just remember that it's not absolutely confirmed. If people on this thread speculate characters that go against this theory, don't get worked up and jump down their throats.
