Seriously, it's not gonna happen but a Raichu alt for Pikachu would be cool. Maybe the other Pikachu-clones.

I personally would welcome Raichu as a somewhat beefier Pikachu.

I've always liked his design much more.

Not entirely true.

Eight is his default name in the iOS/3DS remakes and VII's protag also has the default name Auster in the remake.

On topic, can anyone come up with a cool reveal trailer for their most wanted? I did one for Tails, and I'd be excited to see what other people think

I will do one for both Elma and Lloyd.

Elma's trailer shows a wide open plains with Shulk, Sheik, and Olimar roaming around until they are attacked by a group of Ganglion which end up killing Olimar and Sheik. Shulk is about to be killed off until the ganglion get killed by gunshots from an unknown user. When Shulk looks up to see who it is, the camera pans up to Elma's face.

For Lloyd, it is in the same artstyle as the Tales Of animated cutscenes. It shows Link exploring Triet Ruins, but the name isn't shown off but the interior is similar. Once Link reaches room where Efreet is located, he gets attacked by it. Link is almost dead, and as Efreet launches one last burst of fire, Lloyd comes in and saves the day.

I would love to speculate when the next Direct would be (especially because we've had two with only a month between them), but then I remember how everyone here was so sure we'd get a Direct talking about Smash before E3.

To me, a Direct every 2~ months has always been the best case scenario since:


June > August > October > Launch


If we don't get a Direct in October, the blog is going to be a massive snorefest. The fact that we're still going over stuff from nearly two months ago from the 8.8 Direct is kind of gut wrenching.

He's probably the most well known DQ protag overseas, which is why he gets suggested a lot with the likes of Slime and Erdrick (and to a way lesser extent, Terry. No not that one.)

As a guy who's never played the Dragon Quest RPG's, the Toriyama effect is endearing these guys a lot to me.

Late on this, but...

It'd be such garbage that I wouldn't even buy the game, lol.
It cuts too many characters I like (Lucario, Mewtwo, Palutena, Ryu, Lucina, and ESPECIALLY Chrom) in exchange for Waluigi, who alongside Hector (though not at the expense of Chrom, Lucina, and Ike), is the only addition I'd care about. I either couldn't care less for or outright dislike the other additions,


But that's also the beauty of it all, I guess. Due to Ultimate being the perfect Smash game for me, I don't have a need to purchase any future Smash games that don't have Chrom. Oh god is this what the Melee purists feel like?

: Wedding and Builder outfits are fine enough, but I'd love to see more outfits from Odyssey show up.
: Link's good with what he has now. Probably would just like more color options for both his classic and BOTW appearance.
: Give her some of her suits from her games, like the Fusion suit.
: Color options for Crafted Yoshi would be nice.
: Bring more colors/sprays from Amazing Mirror/Squeak Squad
: Maybe some of the other Pikachu outfits from OR/AS, like the Rock or Pop stars

November.

Not that Nintendo's approach to marketing is at all conventional, but I doubt they have enough content to justify two separate directs after, essentially, two other directs already. That is a LOT of dissection of one game.

We'll learn what Spirits is, learn a bit more about online functionality, learn the final characters, and then we'll get the game a few weeks later. And in the meantime, this forum will tear itself apart at the seams through the rest of September and October, and it will be terrible.

8 normal Yoshi alts and 8 fuzzy Yoshi alts would be pretty amazing. Especially if the 8 fuzzy alts have different colors from the normal ones.

In regards to Smash Alts, if we don't get Outset Toon Link I will be sad. Mr.L would also be cool.

It's from a status effect called Tension, it gives you a pink aura and multiplies your attack power. BUT There's an even stronger version of it called Super High Tension and it makes you look like this.
