I'm so glad no one here is in charge of roster cuts.

People seem to hit characters I like with almost surgical precision on here. I think the only one I really like who doesn't face the block here is DK.

If you can get past the Minions, Illumination is actually a very talented studio. Their animation is flawless, and they have a good track record with successful movies. They ain't no Pixar, but I'd rather see them animate a Mario movie than Dreamworks, Blue Sky, or God forbid, the minds behind the Emoji Movie (Sony Pictures).

Illumination are a good animation studio for how low their budgets generally are but their writing and narratives are generally pretty terrible, the only decent one is the first despicable me

I don’t think LeakyPanda is reliable, AT ALL.

According to a lot of people, they have gotten a lot of things wrong before, so you shouldn’t consider what they say really seriously.

Given the ballot itself explicitly stated that it would only accept votes for video game characters, any votes for the characters you listed outside of Shantae and Shovel Knight would have been disqualified due to breaking that one rule. I mean, even Brash the Bear is a more legitimate Smash candidate than joke characters like Goku and Shrek.

Damn people are still pushing this sort of narrative against Ridley/K. Rool, even after Sakurai acknowledged the demand for the former was so great it got him to change his mind on Ridley's Smash viability, and acknowledged the latter was one of the best performing characters on the Smash Ballot (you know, which was marketed as being for DLC and thus was supposed to indicate who people would buy for DLC) and was why he added K. Rool to the roster?

Well Male Corrin's amiibo is pretty cheap (for obvious reasons, Female Corrin's amiibo is nearly six times the price).

Believe it or not, Blue Sky is actually respectful when handling other people's properties (e.g. Charlie Brown). It's the execution of their own IPs that is the problem, given how they killed off all goodwill for Ice Age.

The animation will probably be fine. I'm mostly afraid of them making a Luigi a hipster or making the Goombas the new minions.
They did it in the Lorax they can do it here.

If they did that to Luigi, I would basically pretend that movie doesn't exist.

Not that I wouldn't do that regardless, but still.

He met that the DLC will featured a character from a nominated game. Most likely a Japanese title. Some big JP titles this year are :

IIRC they're only known for guessing the date of a direct wrong, people forget they manged to get EVERY detail in the direct wrong though.
They aren't reliable at all.

Hyrule Warriors? Then Impa is still a good candidate. The overall sales of Hyrule Warriors must've been significant enough for Sakurai to notice the game. And Impa is literally the most important character from that game not yet in Smash from the Zelda franchise. Well, maybe it's Lana, but she has very low chances I would say.
