I don't like it. Sure, the render looks nice, but in-game it's far, far too similar to vanilla green Yoshi and considering every other character has lost existing alts to make room for the new costumes, it most likely means we lose a unique Yoshi color for a second green one.

Honestly while Impa is more popular, Hilda makes a much better echo fighter. Impa even has the potential to be unique imo

She does.. she really does. And with Isabelle, am kind of hoping for that to come through. But am not gonna lie to myself, Impa as a Echo Fighter would hype me tons as well, and might be a more realistic scenario overall. I doubt the former supporters of Chrom, Daisy and Dark Samus are dissatisfied with what they got either.

All three of them were good but come on. Rundas was COOL. Literally and figuratively. Plus he had the best damn theme but that's neither here nor there.

Ghor could have interesting mech/armor stuff and you could do A LOT with Gandrayda's shape-shifting.

Western games awards shows/magazines/sites tend to favor western RPGs over JRPGs for story-related content. Otherwise, it's kind of up in the air.

It’d Be cool. But since you opened it for discussion, it will be discussed based on my personal opinions in response!

Good Mario representation. I’d hope captain toad has costume alts of toadette and regular toad... and toadsworth too... I’m surprised at Kamek in over Waluigi, but I’m also cool with that.

Wow, no third animal crossing rep.. I’m okay with this, but I’m also not someone who plays animal crossing.

Definitely cool with Dread Kong. Jungle Beat with bongos was underrated amounts of awesome.

Would switch Nightmare with Bandana Waddle Dee.

Nightmare’s too big for Smash. And not Ridley.

Skull Kid, Impa, and Tetra. Not who I’d pick, but I also can’t argue that these are great choices.

Wow that’s a lot of Earthbound representation... I’m swapping out Ninten for Mike Jones.

Black Knight is cool. Not who I’d go with, but I can’t argue against him, and I kind of agree with only having one new fire emblem, but there are so many characters in that franchise.

Wow that’s a lot of Kid Icarus. I approve.

Panther > Leon (and Pigma is probably the best for the fact he’s been a final boss and therefore has more moveset potential, plus he’s actually the most important member of star wolf. He’s the reason James is stuck in spaceholes.)

This is a fantasy roster. Blood Falcon can be an alt for cap. Give me Pico.

Swapping Adam for Weevil. I liked Hunters more than Other M.

Probably wouldn’t have gone with Gardevoir and Incineroar, but can’t argue against them.

Like a lot of the third party choices. Specifically Alex Kidd and Prince of Persia.

Kratos' son in the new game. He's an archer that also has summoning powers. Would have a lot of cool implications for Smash.

Also if you're planning on ever playing the game (which I recommend WHOLEHEARTEDLY, probably my favorite game of the year) don't google his name at all. Don't even touch it.

Game Award shows are nothing but garbage anyways, regardless what bias they have for or against anything.

There's no way to properly just say "this one game is better than literally everything else" when peoples opinions and experiences differ with stuff and different tastes come into account.

I honestly not much connection to Nintendo games at all, and I have never played a kirby game in my life lol, the only series I care are Zelda, Metroid and F-Zero the rest not much.

So I choose the character mainly by their look and how they feel badass to me, and honestly Bandana Dee feels like a minion like a Goompa lol just being honest here.

100% agreed. But people still watch them, and their decisions carry weight within large portions of the gaming community.

I'm still shocked DA: Inquisition won GOTY. Like... I'm happy for Bioware, but there was so much I didn't like about that game, and I feel like the game being justified with a GOTY honor put us on the path that led to ME: Andromeda and Anthem.

It's releasing literally the day after the awards, so yeah. Xenoblade X and 2 were also in similar situations since both were released extremely close to the end of their respective years (in America, at least.)

They might be implying that they'll hint at our first DLC character, kinda like what they did with Mewtwo...? I kinda doubt that, though.
