You know what’s nice? Being able to play the character and not be at a blatant statistical advantage. That’s the opposite of a disservice. Quit deciding things for the rest of us.lmao
Cut your bull****, people want to play as their favourite characters. Most people don't give a **** about competitive viability.
He can also look at the fact that every character has fans and he doesn't want to upset them. The truth is every character has a fan. Making a veteran a costume of someone else is a disservice to the character and their fans.
Memes or no, it’s not healthy to have characters to be so ridiculously similar.Worse how? Competitively she's better than Marth in most aspects. But I won't elaborate because it's supposed to be a secret.
I’d say that what Sakurai makes is overwhelmingly unique in my eyes. The exceptions he also happens to clearly mark.Uniqueness is subjective. Your definition of uniqueness varies from mine.
Mostly tournament results and stuff like that. Obviously there’s some amount of trickle down to more casual play, considering the massive buffs all three got. But the game collects data and sends it to Nintendo, so Sakurai can look at his more in depth data. Sakurai has made it quite evident he cares deeply about this feedback.Usage rates? where? how do you know about this? i'm curious to know which DLC flopped the most.
I don't particularly care which characters wind up getting added at the end of the day.Who do you guys think will be the WTF?! Character this time around???

Well second now because of Bradli Wartooth lol.I don't particularly care which characters wind up getting added at the end of the day.
But if the WTF character is Labo, it will take an awful lot of willpower for me to not blow a gasket.
It's worth noting he appeared in his own game where he could move.Probobly Diskun.
Labo is the only thing with potential that I genuinely do not want as a playable character lol.
Pauline.
Probobly Diskun.
Pauline would be interesting. I don’t quite know what her moveset would be.
Everytime something is revealed by Nintendo, everyone thinks they're hot to the presses with "it's gonna be a character in Smash"Labo is the only thing with potential that I genuinely do not want as a playable character lol.
Son, if you ever want to consider yourself a Nintendo fan, then search up Diskun. It's a very important mascot of Nintendo's history.Pauline would be interesting. I don’t quite know what her moveset would be.
I don’t know who Diskun is. I’m sorry.
And I agree with Labo being the WTF character. Labo-Bot to be specific.
Considering how Smash made him into a joke character of sorts, that could actually work in his favor here with a rather unique moveset. Heck, take inspiration from FEH and TMS and have him swing the Carrot Axe around and have him smack opponents with Sack ‘o Gifts or throw said gifts instead or lightning attacks, pick a microphone and do Back Chorus or any of Itsuki’s specials. Those are literally the only two things I want. Mostly because Chrom would mean Lucina could be a clone of him instead. And with the Legend of Zelda series more or less stagnating since Melee, it would be nice to actually have Ganon with a Legend of Zelda move-set. Either that, or give him a racing car for his final smash at least.
Hmmm...Who do you guys think will be the WTF?! Character this time around???
But not really though.Son, if you ever want to consider yourself a Nintendo fan, then search up Diskun. It's a very important mascot of Nintendo's history.
I don't think it's interesting. I think it's desperate and unoriginal. Everyone's got an opinion.man **** people who find ideas interesting to talk about
truly this website has gone to the dogs. look how low we've gotten
Well the Duck Hunt ducks had a trophy in Melee so the possibility is there. That's where Doshin comes in.
Honestly, if you have to look him up, there's a good chance he won't be in the game outside of a cameo. The west won't have any clue who he is.Son, if you ever want to consider yourself a Nintendo fan, then search up Diskun. It's a very important mascot of Nintendo's history.
That's the best part.Honestly, if you have to look him up, there's a good chance he won't be in the game outside of a cameo. The west won't have any clue who he is.
lolYou know I never got this whole "if you don't know x you're not a real y fan".
It's not like there's an exam to be a fan of something. I'm a fan of a lot of things, and I don't know everything about them.
Nor was I ever chastised because I didn't know the hot Diskun trivia.
That is no joke ****ing adorable.I would consider a reinvented Diskun (inspired by Starfy) as one of my top requests.

Take that as you will.

In my experience casuals overwhelmingly think the clones are just worse, and while casuals might be simple they’re not stupid. If one hears that one is better than the other they’re naturally going to prefer the stronger one. Even to casuals winning is important.
Did you try hitting with a wide variety of attacks?Getting all bonuses in Melee to earn the Diskun Trophy turns really painful at the end.
*glares at the "Lethal Weapon" bonus"
Sans is already in Smash.Incineroar for Smash's new Pokémon and Sans for wtf character
I was joking about that last part but honestly Starfy could be a wtf character despite the moveset
But I'd you think about it, Inklings don't have many attacks worthy of Smash, though look where we are now.
Also, Marx COULD be added. COULD. So can Sans, but they won't add Sans.
I hate to admit when I don't get a joke, but this went over my head lolSans is already in Smash.
It's a reference to a very, very, very, very ****ty Game Theory episode.I hate to admit when I don't get a joke, but this went over my head lol
Sans Undertale is Ness comfrim!!!Sans is already in Smash.
Japan doesn't care about Little Mac but they added him in anywaysDiskun is iconic in Japan, no doubt about that. He's hidden all throughout Nintendo's early history. I don't think the West should hold that back.
The rock in the road comes with his potential. Being an interesting fighter is VERY important if you're going to be a newcomer. And it needs to be more than just filling a move set. So that's where Diskun falls short for me, as much as I want him.
I feel like a retro character has to be known to some degree on both sides of the world to be considered.Diskun is iconic in Japan, no doubt about that. He's hidden all throughout Nintendo's early history. I don't think the West should hold that back.

This has nothing to do with tiers, believe it or not.LancerStaff
You do realize how small the percentage of people who play Smash at the level where tiers are relevant is, yes? For most people, getting familiar with any character will give you a fighting chance with people around your skill level.
I do believe we were talking about Corrin’s uniqueness but whatever I guess. We're talking about clones' uniqueness. Is it unique if you copy and paste a character and change some things around? You have either:
A. Since a few things were changed, it's technically a whole new character.
B. It's just copy and pasted with things changed, so it's not a new character.
And that's why me and Sakurai cries over Lip.I feel like a retro character has to be known to some degree on both sides of the world to be considered.
Captain Toad is more likely than all of them.I think a Mario newcomer is very likely, but I just don't know who.
Captain Toad?
Waluigi?
Paper Mario?
Geno?
Who do you guys think is the most likely Mario newcomer?
Oof, were we? I thought we were talking about the trio. My b.This has nothing to do with tiers, believe it or not.
Let’s be honest here. Everybody wants to win. People don’t just handicap themselves intentionally for no reason. And casuals aren’t nearly as sentimental as us. If animu sword boy from that weird game they never heard of presents an advantage they’re likely to pick them over Mario. Or are you seriously telling me you didn’t have somebody pick Marth and counter spam as a kid? People grew attached to characters they perceived to be powerful.
I do believe we were talking about Corrin’s uniqueness but whatever I guess.
It doesn’t matter how much is similar if you turn it on it’s head. I mean, look at ARMS for example. The only difference between the different characters is grab damage, mobility, occasionally armor, and some offensive gimmicks. Other damage and offensive frame data is the same across the board. Characters still can stand out and play very differently. Sometimes less is more. Though we’re well beyond that stage in Smash... We have all the basics.
The one I think is neat but others will tell me my choice is clearly wrong and based on some straws this other character is somehow far superior.I think a Mario newcomer is very likely, but I just don't know who.
