How would you all react if we got Tetra in the game as a Tink Echo? She could wield her cutlass, she used a bow in HW and they could just take the shield off her.

And seeing a pirate using bombs wouldn't be that weird.

So, besides just having the Nintendo characters, what do you guys thinks makes Smash so special? I've been trying to play games like Icons (great controls and mechanics, but just no life in it) and Slap City (I do not understand why anyone over 15 thinks it's a good game tbh), and nothing ever clicks like Smash. Is it the controls? Is it the mechanics themselves? Several games copied it almost exactly regarding mechanics, and none of them feel nearly as fluid or fair as Smash does.
I can't wait for December, I'm sick of playing Steam Substitutes lol

Well, for me personally, it's the fact all of these gaming icons, both iconic and non-iconic, are all here to beat the ever loving snot out of each other. The fact that we have a game where can pit Link, Samus, Kirby, and Shulk against character like Mega-Man, Snake, Simon Belmont, and Freaking Bayonetta is mind blowing to me.

I also like the gameplay. It's a fun fusion between a platformer and a fighting game. The different modes add variety as well. I particulary enjoy Adventure Mode, the Subspace Emissary, and Smash Run.

And I have a long history with this series as well. I kid you not, my first Smash game was Melee when I was sitting down in diapers. Then I got Brawl years later, and then when I was in high school I got Smash 4. So this series has pretty much been with me at every point in my life. It's also the reason I know so many other series like Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Metal Gear Solid as well.

So, yeah, I'd say that's what makes Smash special to me.

Saria's a pretty happy-go-lucky person. She only really becomes sad when Link leaves Kokiri Forest, which is totally understandable; also, becoming a Sage, presumably via Death, is a pretty heavy burden for someone with the mentality of a child.

Like I said, her first word in the game is "Yahoo!" with a big happy smile on her face.

KI:U is also anti-lefty? Good, I needed another reason to avoid that series like the plague.

I’m a bit annoyed that Nintendo’s love of motion controls didn’t translate to “hey, 10% of our players would also appreciate flipped controls” considerig Wii Sports figured that out. The Wii was an absolute mess for me.

And I’m still not over them keeping console Link a righty especially now that every game since Skyward Sword is played with a standard controller by 95+% of the population.

I actually really do not want to see an Uprising port. It was a game built around a specific control scheme amd I really can't imagine playing it without touch controls. I don't think even motion controls could replicate the ammount of precision a touch screen provides. Maybe I'm biased but I'd rather see an entirely new game built from the ground up.
