Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

We've gone over most of the stuff from the 8.8 Direct except for a few Items/Assists...

I think October will just do the same thing they did with Robin and Lucina in smash 4

Not what I was expecting from a Pikmin remix, but damn, it's actually pretty good.

Would love to hear some new Star Fox or Pokemon music next. Xenoblade has some pretty good tracks too, based off what few I've heard.

What would really throw everyone for a loop now is if Skull Kid is an AT, Incineroar is a Pokeball 'Mon, and Decidueye or Lycanroc got announced as playable. Verge is adamant that those two aren't in and I guess people are saying Loz is claiming the newcomer isn't a Pokemon.

It'd be MADNESS.


If that happened, I'm pretty sure it'd be time to abandon thread...

This new Pikmin remix is eh.

It's too repetitive, and feels like it's trying to build up into something that never really pays off.

Y'all actually like the remix? It sounds so bland and uninspired to me. I don't detect the same passion I hear in some of the other remixes like Gangplank Galleon especially.

So we’re back to leaker talk? I have one overarching statement to say and it’s that over time Verge and Loz basically switched roles.

Before Verge came off as an ass to the Smash community, but at least now he has been a lot more humble/has been more careful with information recently. Example, his recent information, which was 3 weeks ago, basically had him just reiterate what he said before and nothing new. He even mentioned when it comes to the Pokémon newcomer we shouldn’t put Incineroar as our lock because not all of his sources agreed on it and it was never supposed to leak out in the first place. He wasn’t even supposed to deconfirm Lycanroc or Mimikyu either until someone else basically told someone to ask him, most likely because he wasn’t sure of it to risk leaking anything else that can damage his sources. He proved himself to be more reliable.

Loz basically did the opposite. Before, he didn’t want to be associated with leaks and wanted to post minimal information about Smash. Now, the dude became unstable and now states a lot of information seemingly without second thought, whether here, GameFaqs, or in his discord. After the twitter incident, it’s clear that he’s become shaky. It also doesn’t help how he keeps pushing Skull Kid all the time, despite himself stating that he hasn’t seen anything on him (in his discord he stated how he hasn’t seen any renders, movesets, or artwork for Skull Kid).

That’s why I became more hesitant toward Skull Kid and Loz as a whole recently, it doesn’t really add up. Unlike with Verge who has some claims that at least makes sense based on what we have seen so far, like Ken, Isabelle, and possibly Geno. Loz has become more unreliable, and if his recent statement is in fact true, is trying to once again show off Skull Kid by deconfirming other chracaters that people assumed to be shown on the direct and even ones that would’ve been considered the next best option.

Overall, I would take at least a grain of salt from these guys statements. Gematsu has shown that no leaker has everything unless you literally have the entire roster right in front of you, Loz and Verge are no exception.

That'll never happen, Bulborb is both simultaneously and paradoxically too big and too small for Smash.

Time to make the riskiest prediction ever: Elma (68), Xenoblade X stage, Isabelle (45e), either Waddle Dee or Black Shadow (possibly 69 for either, or 11e for Black Shadow)

I prefer risky bets over safe bets tyvm

In fact when Shulk was revealed in that JP only direct I actually had a feeling a newcomer would be revealed the day before. And I was right!
