Are there any characters you think could be playable from unrepresented franchises that could get in without a stage.

And for characters from represented franchises. Do you think Elma or Geno could get in without a stage from Xenoblade X or SMRPG

Not a diss on Rhythm it's just Ghost is more iconic of a character from a very popular serie.

If you ask kids about Rythm characters is bet most don't know ant but ask them about Ghost from modern warfare 2 they'll know exactly who he is.

Lol people can meme call of duty all they want but Mw2 is one of the highest rates games of all time on metacritic.

But each to their own i just think Ghost and Soap are more iconic to gaming fans in general than obscure properties like Rhythm.

Highest rated for that particular kind of game; nobody outside of those who appreciate FPS games care about the CoD franchise. Not to mention that its a crapshoot whether the CoD released for a given year will be good since they have, what, 3 different developers that make CoD games? Sorry, but as much as the series is enjoyed by some people, it has no place here.

Not that I'm supporting Halo or an inclusion of someone from there, but at least with that series you can name a protagonist. Nobody can really be named from CoD since its played for Multiplayer; players really don't gives a rat's patootie about CoD story mode even to the point that newest one being released won't even have a story mode due to nobody playing and/or caring about previous game's campaign! You may be able to name people, but you're clearly a statistical outlier.

I mean, Xenoblade and Mario are represented, though I would find odd that new series(such as Golden Sun) wouldn't get a stage after Dracula's Castle.
I mean, ****, that stage looks so good and it's 100% Castlevania fanservice but other new series can't get at least a Pac-Land-like stage?

On another note like it or not Soap and ghost are extra left iconic among fans and Activision has supported Nintendo heavily. I feel like while Master Chief is iconic he hasn't been on a Nintendo console.

Soap has been around for the whole modern warfare trilogy and is as iconic as they come tbh most know him and I think many would welcome him in smash.
