What?!That was Broly though
All Dragon Ball characters are Goku. That was Broly though
The picture they tweeted yesterday contained a silhouette of Broly. What?!

Man, I remember that Rayman leak in Smash 4. It was actually my first leak I couldn't debunk...Whoa, missed out on the Pokefloat discussion here!
I'll admit that the fake was nicely done minus a few spots that set red flags for it being fake. The Skull Kid and BD were well done on the photo so I give props for the person for how they made that. Almost as good tricking us like Omni did with the Rayman leak back then lmao
Not quite. Famitsu comes out every Thursday, we get it Wednesday due to time zones. Leaks typically come out on Tuesdays. It's due to come out on Monday morning. (Sunday if you're in the US). As said above, due to the paper printing process, things leak very easily through magazines.
The saddest part of this in hindsight is if Famitsu DOES end up leaking this. But yeah.
I'm keeping my expectations low, but I wouldn't count out the possibility of two unique newcomers from this Direct.
We have 3 months to go until the game launches, and the chance of a Direct in October is pretty damn low unless that's when the Smash Direct is. They 'have' to start throwing out newcomers, since it seems like we're only going to be getting them via Direct this time, and this is most likely our only general Direct until November/December.
Well, I certainly didn't mind being called Mr.Dragon the other day.I don't know how people take to being referred to by their avatars. I like being called "Yoshi," but that's because it's ME
Not so many people have a Ice Climber avatar so I guess it’s okay! I am just happy that two of my favourite characters are back (I am not really good with Pichu/Pikachu but I love Pichu in the Pokémon franchise).I don't know how people take to being referred to by their avatars. I like being called "Yoshi," but that's because it's ME
Speaking of Verge, this next newcomer could either make it or break it for him. I'm still being cautious with his newer claims, especially since he missed four characters from the previous Direct. If we get someone who he didn't predict, I'm gonna have to question the validity of his material.Or hell, imagine this being basically the 'Vergeben' direct with Incineroar and Isabelle leaked via Famitsu. No one would believe it.
Hey, Celebi-kun! I think I'm your fan, I have to admit...Not quite. Famitsu comes out every Thursday, we get it Wednesday due to time zones. Leaks typically come out on Tuesdays.
I mean, no, not really?Speaking of Verge, this next newcomer could either make it or break it for him. I'm still being cautious with his newer claims, especially since he missed four characters from the previous Direct. If you don't mind my asking, do you think the appearance by Masuda/whatever was planned to be shown on Pokénchi this weekend will be effected by the Direct being delayed? Not quite. Famitsu comes out every Thursday, we get it Wednesday due to time zones. Leaks typically come out on Tuesdays.
I don't think it's going to be effected, afaik. If you don't mind my asking, do you think the appearance by Masuda/whatever was planned to be shown on Pokénchi this weekend will be effected by the Direct being delayed?
I'm not expecting anything to have drastically changed, but things all seem up in the air right now.
Are FFXV and Mega Man really leaks when Square announced the port and the MM demo was announced back in August? Unless there's other stuff I've missed.Hey, Celebi-kun! I think I'm your fan, I have to admit...
But, anyways, shouldn't the leaks come by now? I mean, so far we have seen that Yoshi and FFXV, and Megaman 11 leaks.
FFXV was first leaked on PS4 network shop without notice, and I believe it was supposed to be for the direct. Are FFXV and Mega Man really leaks when Square announced the port and the MM demo was announced back in August? Unless there's other stuff I've missed.
The saddest part of this in hindsight is if Famitsu DOES end up leaking this.
Imagine getting potentially 2 newcomers and x amount of echoes revealed....
Or hell, imagine this being basically the 'Vergeben' direct with Incineroar and Isabelle leaked via Famitsu. No one would believe it.
Hey Joe, while you're on here, I'm curious, what Pokémon would you like to see playable in Ultimate? Not quite. Famitsu comes out every Thursday, we get it Wednesday due to time zones. Leaks typically come out on Tuesdays.
"MrDragon," now there's a new username for you.Well, I certainly didn't mind being called Mr.Dragon the other day.
No one ever calls me "mister". From here on out, I demand everyone else gives me the same level of respect.
To expand upon my point further.Speaking of Verge, this next newcomer could either make it or break it for him. I'm still being cautious with his newer claims, especially since he missed four characters from the previous Direct. If we get someone who he didn't predict, I'm gonna have to question the validity of his material.
I don't think I actually want that as a username, but I'm thinking I might use it as my gamertag from now on."MrDragon," now there's a new username for you.
I mean, no, not really?
Gematsu lacked Rosalina, Robin, Duck Hunt, Dark Pit, Lucina and most people still take it as legit.
If his supposed sources only knew of a handful of characters, there's not much else to it.
The difference between Verge and Gematsu is that one correctly predicted about 9 characters almost back-to-back.To expand upon my point further.
Leakers rarely ever know the entire roster.
Brawl is a shining example of this, where there were like, 3 people who all had a part of the roster, and when put together, it made the whole. They weren't fake because they didn't know the whole thing, they just knew parts of it.
**** like the ESRB leak where we get the entire thing at once is very rare and is NOT the norm.
Hell, for all we know, Vergeben+Loz18+Mimique may be this game's trifecta leaks that when put together, give us the whole picture.
Well for starters, we're missing anywhere from 1-2 newcomers from this Direct to begin with, so I wouldn't be too quick to judge. The difference between Verge and Gematsu is that one correctly predicted about 9 characters almost back-to-back.
After the September Direct, we're probably not going to get another character reveal until October, which is a solid two months before release. That ain't much time. In order for Verge and these other leakers to be correct, they'd essentially have to get every newcomer and Echo correct, leaving very little room for error.
It goes from, "None of those characters have been debunked yet, so the leakers could still be right," to, "We only have a few weeks until release, and we're still missing a few of those characters. Are they playable at all?"
The sad thing about that is whatever the Pokemon newcomer is, it probably won't be possible to get one in Let's Go because they're only using the original 150. Not unless the newcomer is an alolan form.I'd say give this Direct a chance before we jump to conclusions. A Pokemon newcomer 'seems' likely to be here, though I can't say that with certainty, it just seems like a good time to reveal it to promote Let's Go.
Which is why I said this Direct would make it or break it. I'm not dismissing Verge, as predicting Ridley and Simon was no small feat. However, Simon was part of his info from April. Nothing he's predicted after that has came true yet, and I'm a little surprised by how much he missed in the last Direct.Well for starters, we're missing anywhere from 1-2 newcomers from this Direct to begin with, so I wouldn't be too quick to judge.
And both Ken and Isabelle are echo fighters, so they can just be dropped in whenever.

There were also only two Gematsu leaks. Verge has had, what, seven? Loz was strong through K. Rool's presentation, but his information seems to have completely fallen apart by then.To expand upon my point further.

Haven't seen you in a while...There were also only two Gematsu leaks. Verge has had, what, seven? Loz was strong through K. Rool's presentation, but his information seems to have completely fallen apart by then.
Just because somebody gives out some correct information doesn't mean that everything they say from then on is accurate.
Isn't Mew in Let's Go as well? That would be 151 Pokemon. The sad thing about that is whatever the Pokemon newcomer is, it probably won't be possible to get one in Let's Go because they're only using the original 150. Not unless the newcomer is an alolan form.
I've been hiding out in the Isaac thread (which has been completely overwhelmed and is nearly impossible to keep up with), and been busy with World of Warcraft again.Haven't seen you in a while...
Yeah, you're right. It's the original 151.Isn't Mew in Let's Go as well? That would be 151 Pokemon.
More on point, it's still a Pokemon so the connection is still there. Maybe they could show Let's Go and a Pokemon character in Smash without directly saying anything beyond having the two games in one direct.
Of course. There were also only two Gematsu leaks. Verge has had, what, seven? Loz was strong through K. Rool's presentation, but his information seems to have completely fallen apart by then.

Debunked a very good Pokefloats leakWhat happened here? I've been gone for a while.
We just have to wait and see, frankly.Which is why I said this Direct would make it or break it. I'm not dismissing Verge, as predicting Ridley and Simon was no small feat. However, Simon was part of his info from April. Nothing he's predicted after that has came true yet, and I'm a little surprised by how much he missed in the last Direct.
Definitely not saying people should ignore what he says, but I also think it's equally risky to treat what he says as gospel and fully expect every newcomer he mentioned to get in.
Agreed, I can see Skull Kid either way. He's currently one of the most popular predictions due to seeing the Moon as an AT, but no Skull Kid AT and Skull Kid not being a part of the Moon AT. So it's a safe guess for someone without any information who is trying to maintain a reputation.Of course.
Though in regards to Loz, the only thing he adds to this is Skull Kid, which, I could see either way in regards to the next Direct.
Eh, they forgot to give Bandana Dee a shadow. 7/10Debunked a very good Pokefloats leak
And what happened to the title?Debunked a very good Pokefloats leak
Some stuff related to the Direct leaked through other means. The Mega Man demo is out, and FFXV Mobile is coming to Switch. A couple other things, maybe? Nothing on Smash, though. And what happened to the title?
