He can't move from the car, and suffered third degree burn, so Ridley, and Bowser bought him some Chicken Selects, fries, and a coke. They both shape the chicken into stars and Kirby's, and force feed him. Congrats Dedede, you're a cannibal, and life is suffering.
Orders Four Big Macs, three packs of fries, and two extra large cherry cokes. He finishes all of it in front of Ridley, asserting his dominance. He may or may not have used Dedede's card to pay for his meal.
She orders a McFlurry... orders another Mcflurry in the largest cup... she's now eating the McFlurry straight from the tap... she just took the Mcflurry machine and walk out the door... I was next in line for a McFlurry... I didn't get any McFlurry...
Orders Two Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, Kids meal Chicken Selects shaped like clouds, and little Foxes, fries, and a chocolate shake. Every bite he takes, he laughs maniacally for some reason.

Moral of the story avoid McDonald's on Evil Fridays.

Seriously. Some of the posts in this thread make me embarrassed to be a part of it.

Why are we not allowed to talk about the game even if there was a natural disaster, like there are every year. Yes you should be respectable but that doesn't include haulting all conversation about on-topic things

To be brutally honest, I would feel a lot better if the Direct was just cancelled outright. People are losing their lives for God's sake and all people care about is their precious probability of Smash news, let alone anything. It's extremely repulsive and I feel like the people who act like this make us not deserve a Direct at all and instead just get a text dump detailing the online service. Shameful, it is.

People lose their lives every day and yet videogame news continues, those two things are not very much related.

The fact that nintendo planned the direct today and told us yesterday means they could be in a situation were things like the eshop prorders and things from the official website might be ready to go live tonight meaning that nintendo has 5 hours to get everything supposed to be revealed in the direct taken all over the world! We'll probobly get footage or stuff from the eshop

I think Nintendo will make sure things don't slip up on their end, if any leaks happen it'll more likely be because retailers and journalists with embargoes mess up, and that's not as likely to involve Smash news as brand new games and what not.

Okay so since we're on the topic of wanting to play a game, I got one:

Sakurai puts you in charge of making a few modes with one old mode returning from the past, one mode currently announced that you'd like to see tweaked, and one brand new mode. What would you pick?

Old mode to return:

- Board the Platform (Seriously why is this not back yet? This was unique for it's time and not back after nearly 20 years is pretty bad considering how heavily requested it has been for Wii U/3DS and now Ultimate)

Tweaked Mode:

- Tournament mode (I feel there's a few things that should've been better with this mode from what we've seen. I'd like to see a 2vs2, 3vs3, and 4vs4 mode for tournaments along with the ability to increase the number to 64 as opposed to 32. How the **** can Melee have 64, yet Brawl afterwards gets dumped to 32? Maybe also have scrambling mode for those who are in teams and be randomly placed with working with a character/person they'd have to deal with

New Mode:

Championship mode (Since I use Smash and WWE in a way to create an unique mode, I figured this would be a great mode to try. In multiple WWE games, they always show who the champions are for various belts. I'd like to see how unique this would be to make people want to battle over a championship. For example...

. World Championship - the top belt which is supposed to make you look like the "Best of the Best"
. Intercontental Championship - Higher card belt which is a secondary to the brand if you're not going for the world title. Often used towards popular guys who are stuck in the mid card
. Lightweight Championship - Using light weight fighters only. I think there should be a self-explanation on who is considered lightweights in Smash and who aren't cannot complete for the title
. Extreme Championship - A gimmick type of championship where if you want to get crazy using items, it is allowed. In wrestling, the Hardcore Championship belt was used for Hardcore or anything goes match as anything that is considered illegal in a match is allowed.
. Time Championship - This is a gimmick type of championship. Basically whoever wins in the usual Stock/Time battle
. Women's Championship - Self-explanation using women/female characters only. Even those that have alts like Villager, Robin, Corrin, etc will be fine as long as it's the female characters only
. Tag Team Championships - Self-explanation using 2 characters working as a team against another team of 2 or 3 teams of 2 max

I think this would be cool so you can battle with your friends on who is best of the best in your group or for a local tournament)

Can't say much more than has already been said; tragic for the people in Japan, and absolutely understandable why the direct has been delayed. Although I fear that like some above have said that some opportunists will leak the info simply for their 15 minutes of fame.

Also someone mentioned the 7.8/8.1 (depending on sources) earthquake off the coast of Fiji. I'm here to tell you all not to be alarmed, the National Weather Service has tweeted that the earthquake was too far deep into the earth to cause a tsunami, so Fiji should be fine.

Here's an idea similar to the "12/26 Man Roster Game":

Who here knows the fan game Super Smash Land, the GameBoy styled demake of Smash Bros. that features and ? Whether or not you might know where I'm going with this, here's the game:

Make a hypothetical roster for a DS Smash Bros. game. The limitations for this are:
1. The roster must be comprised of 16 characters.
2. The cast must be made of characters who debuted in 2005 or earlier. (For example, no 4th generation Pokémon)
3. You must consider system limitations, meaning that certain mechanics cannot work, such as transforming/swapping characters, Pikmin always following Olimar, and having Nana alongside Popo.
4. Each franchise is limited to 3 representatives at maximum. (DK, Yoshi and Wario are separate from Mario)
5. Only 1 3rd Party character is allowed on the roster. It's completely optional, though.
6. History of characters in Smash doesn't apply, so you can replace Pichu with a different Johto Pokémon for all I care, or exclude DK and Fox, knock yourselves out. However, the roster is required to have NO MATTER WHAT.

Now with that all said and done, have fun. I will be making my roster later, as I have a class starting in a few minutes.

For those curious, that roughly translates to:

So I woke up this morning to the news of the Direct's delay. I have nothing but respect for Nintendo's display of integrity here. When tragedy rears its ugly head, a fun event to hype up games can wait. Nintendo chose to do the right thing here, without a doubt, and I applaud them for it, and I sincerely hope the best for those affected by the powerful and devastating earthquake in Hokkaido. A tragedy of its scale is one deserved by nobody. For the time being, the Direct can heck off.

My heart breaks for each of those impacted by the earthquake. That's just so, so horrible. Super glad Nintendo decided to postpone the direct. There are much more important things happening than games!

On that note, I am also so happy to see Smashboards's overall reaction to the delay. These are actual people whose lives were changed by this horrible event, and I can't even believe some of the tweets/gamefaqs comments I saw.

Seriously, I say it a lot, but Smashboards has some of the best people--PERIOD!

Squad Strike to have a customizable time setting and a tag feature, in which every character can be swapped out and their 'tag in' animations are extra attacks, like the Shinespark for Samus. Unlike other 3v3 fighters, tagged out characters don't heal.

Great Escape: A game mode where you select your character and are put into a large randomized level layout and have to escape by finding an exit. In this mode, you'll encounter many enemies, be it Smash Run enemies, KO-able Assist Trophies, boss enemies or enhanced characters (i.e giant, clear, reflect, metal etc.) The more enemies you defeat, the higher your rewards are when clearing the stage and you'll get a 'level up' to boost your stats. However, healing items and helpful items are in randomized locations too. The longer you stay in the arena, the stronger enemies get. After clearing the area, your score is counted and you earn Trophies and possibly CDs

We are going to have a new trailer "Everyone is here", but with the new characters from outside Nintendo.

I will not tell you who the characters are, because I do not want problems and I do not want to spoil your joy.

We will have 2 characters for each company, this will mix Echos as well.
Some of them will have only one character.

Square Enix, Capcom, Arc System Works, Namco Bandai, Atlus, Konami, SEGA, Blizzard, Ubisoft, From Software, Bethesda, Platinum, BioWare, MonolithSoft, Activision, Naugthy Dog, Rockstar, Valve, SNK, Netherrealm and EA.

I'm not buying it honestly. Too many 3rd parties in this one and I think at least 5-8 new 3rd parties would fit. So far we got two with Simon and Richter. There's other possibilities of Ken, Rayman, Banjo, Shadow, Crash, and more being considered

If the Direct gets delayed or Smash Ultimate gets delayed, it's fine. It's not a big deal. As one of the people in Papa Geno's most recent videos said, 'the Direct (and Smash Bros for that matter) can wait; the lives of the people cannot.'

I honestly don’t think any games themselves will be delayed but if it happens, well, it happens and all we can do is wait.

Really though, surely this Direct has to be at the weekend considering Famitsu is coming out on Monday. Nintendo can hardly ask Famitsu to remove all their pages on Direct content, 4 days before publication. Unless Famitsu is delayed, I think the Direct has to be before Monday, right?
