I'm sure Waluigi's popularity is almost nonexistent in Japan and that's why he hasn't been getting any attention.

After the backlash from his AT role in Ultimate I'm pretty sure Sakurai will try and include him in the next game. The same thing happened with Ridley.

He's not happening ever. Waluigi has no importance which again Sakurai says is one of the only ways of making the cut. At least with Ridley. He's Samus' arch-nemesis. Waluigi was only created to be Wario's partner in spin-off sports games. Dude doesn't even appear in WarioWare for crying out loud and after the harassment and death threats those so called fans give Sakurai who is pouring his heart out into this game. They don't deserve Waluigi which should be their punishment.

Simply put Waluigi has no place in Smash. He should stay as an Assist Trophy as he is and I actually wouldn't even be surprised due to these so called "fans" that he completely removes Waluigi from this game.

Well you might be right. I haven’t played the game in 10 years so my memory is a bit foggy.

A great game I'll still remember. Basically, General Scales released the Krazoa Spirit and died, immediately after the Sharpclaws (the Dinosaur mooks that Fox fights in the game) celebrates his death, and (later after the Andross fight) praises Fox, and cheers for him, as they are now free from Scales' tyranny. I guess Scales somehow took the spirit by force, which the spirit made clear afterwards it didn't like that, cause although Krazoa Spirits are painful to release, it never killed Fox or Krystal.

Ridley is incredibly relevant to the series he is from, and Waluigi isnt. We've never gotten a character so irrelevant within their series before other than arguably some Pokemon.

I think Geno could open the floodgates for Waluigi and similar No Hopers. Geno getting in says "if you're loud enough, you're in, no matter how important."

I think he's possible, but "no moveset potential" has precedent for being ignored all the way back in 64 with Falcon. Waluigi would be setting a new precedent.

I agree.

Waluigi IMO shouldn't be seen as this big icon. People shouldn't clamor to say "he deserves his own game!!!" or whatnot, because his gimmick is that he doesn't have a game. His character revolves around these spinoff games, but has so much character shown about him from those spinoffs alone because that's all he has. He's more of the spinoff rep than Daisy IMO.

Again Sakurai stated for characters to make the cut they gotta have importance which Waluigi doesn't. At least with Daisy she's starred in Super Mario Land and Super Mario Run which are considered main. Waluigi's only appeared in spin-off sports games created only to be Wario's partner. That's why he can't get in and is an Assist Trophy.

Geno is imo the most comparable situation to Waluigi. They both are minor characters in their respective franchise and can only get in through fan demand. I don't believe either has any chance period without specific outcry from Smash fanbase. Villager on the otherhand would due to importance of Animal Crossing series to Nintendo and Villager's role within.
