Regardless of whether he's an icon or not, that doesn't always necessarily translate to popularity, I don't remember many people talking about him back when the ballot was happening. It feels like discussion of him has only popped up lately with leaks and chair talk.

I feel like most of us here and on the internet abroad would say that hot girls and people who've played Majora's Mask are mutually exclusive. It's why the girl gamer is seen as some rare exotic breed instead of just another person. They exist, but less so than (hot) men who've played Majora's Mask. Most of the "hot girls" I've met in my life don't have a clue what a Majora's Mask is, nor do they care because they have other things to do. Unless you're talking about girls who are "fake nerdy" and wear stuff like the Majora's Mask t-shirt, which is kinda sexist.

I smell a direct coming within the next two weeks. The fact that online launches in less than a month and we still really don't know anything about it (including the launch date) makes me think they're saving info for a Nintendo Direct.

Kefka is pretty well known, I knew of him before I even touched a Final Fantasy game. He's by far the most memorable part of 6 and is a character you fight multiple times throughout the game. Anyone over 20 who spent a decent amount of time discussing video games on the internet probably knows Kefka.

I've literally only heard about him in context of Final Fantasy (or favorite villain lists), I just don't think he's quite the Bowser/Ganon/Sephiroth/Eggman Level. And being the most memorable in his game and fighting him multiple time doesn't matter when the context we where talking about was those that haven't played the game in the first place.
and Dr. Wily also doesn't belong there.

That hot girl I knew in high school didn't play Majora's Mask, she went back home to the Philippines after she rejected me.

Good thing my current girlfriend plays Zelda games but won't play Majora's Mask either because the time mechanic gives her anxiety.

Why does no one ever talk about tetra when it comes to Zelda representation? It pretty much seems to be a rotating door of Skull Kid, Impa and occasionally Tingle. Tetra deserves better imo.
