Let me just say. I am without a doubt a Sony gamer thanks to Crash Bandicoot, Sly Cooper, God of War, and Kingdom Hearts being some of my favorite games of all time.

When I saw the opening PSABR cinematic, there was nothing more beautiful. My closest friends who also play Smash a ton were very excited as well. Immediately upon feeling the gameplay though, the downfall was set in stone for them..so eventually..it dragged any love I had down as well.

I am the first person to stick up for something I enjoy, but I couldn't say anything to their complaints and nitpicks. Crash Bandicoot was a necessity regardless for most in terms of characters.

I honestly wish the game had more support so we could get a sequel and in turn, get Crash or at least Spyro.

People keep saying this like we'll learn Sakurai once planned her.

She's had a history of Nintendo releases, she had notable western popularity, basically nothing from Japan (even with that figurine), and Sakurai took a trip to Wayforward a few years back. Also Wayforward pushed her hard during the ballot, but they're not the only dev to do so.

Also some line about an ultimate slumber party which some people have fooled themselves into thinking is Smash related.

Do I have enough to qualify for an opinion yet?

Advance Wars or Startropics?

Star Tropics. While Advance Wars would be cool to see back... I think I would love to see a new take on Startropics, especially how well Kid Icarus Uprising was handled. Plus it would be an actual surprise to the JP crowd since Star Tropics isn't well known in Japan

I never even knew who Shantae was for the longest. Shovel Knight has been shoved in my face since its reveal I feel like. Seeing him get that AT treatment was pretty shocking. I can see Shantae making an AT appearance (if anything).

She seems unlikely AF at this point... If I was wrong, I wouldn't be against it though.

Shantae is definitely possible, but having some points in her favor shouldn’t be taken as a sign of her inclusion being guaranteed.

I think she will make an appearance in some form. Maybe not a fighter, but an Assist Trophy or even just a regular trophy. Heck, I can see them including all sorts of Indie Trophies as well.

Which is why I consider Quote most likely Indie, if any at all. His history puts pretty much everything but Touhou to shame, and his legacy and impact seem greater than Touhou's to me. Plus he has that Nintendo connection with Wii, DS, 3DS, and Switch releases. And one of those was an exclusive and launch title.

The winner of the last poll was King Hippo, which is good since the big guy still has his fans. For some reason, Glass Joe managed to beat Mr Sandman and Great Tiger. People must love their weak joke characters I guess.

This next poll has a focus on Namco's arcade classics, since they have other iconic characters than just Pac-Man himself from that era. Some are 8-bit cameos, but I don't think they really mean much when Rathalos can have many roles. The picks for this poll this time is Ms Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Mappy, and Tower of Druaga's Gilgamesh.

Cartoon Network punchtime explosion. It’s so bad it’s good.

Bought that one recently, because I wanted to test it before writing my own take on it (see what I would keep in a remake/sequel). And I almost agree on it being so bad it's good. just to describe it to people that haven't tried it.

• % has little effect on knockback until around 100% where it start having huge effect
• Most hitboxes are janky, and the animations feels off. the Grab/throw is barely animated
• Far too much generic punches and kicks in the movesets. The ben 10's being some of the worst, with everything except specials being like that.
• The movesets are so badly made that almost all character only uses 2-4 moves, with the rest being pretty much usless.
• Blossom's Ice Breath infinites easily. Kevin (ben 10) also have a infinite, but his doesn't hit small characters (which there's a decent amount off).
• Aku has spammable battlefield length laser.
• One of the best legal stages is comparable to Luigi's mansion.

The best description would be: they seemed to try recreating smash without understanding the fighting game base.

Make no mistake, just because I don't think PS All Stars is a masterpiece and I think it'd be pretty funny to have so many PS Icons in a Nintendo Fighter isn't me discrediting Sony.

Frankly, these past few months, I've been on my PlayStation quite a bit more than my Switch, if I'm being honest.

I certainly had my reservations with Sony's classics and IPs. When I was like... 12 or 13. :V

This is stuff people really need to learn to grow past. I'll always be a Nintendo fanboy above everything else, but damn if Sony doesn't have a great lineup, both then and now.

The only PS icon I would want is Kat from Gravity Rush. I know Sakurai worked his magic to get Cloud but considering Sony doesn't like to play nice like Nintendo, and Microsoft, nothing short of a miracle would bring her to Smash

I have a question why does everyone think that Shantae is really likely to be playable like what?

WayForward were very vocal about her joining Smash back in Smash 4, but now they're quiet as a mouse they don't even answer questions about Smash.
Possible hints in her last free DLC that could pertain to Smash Ultimate without breaking NDA.

The level of gatekeeping that requires "research" before a conclusion can be formed is a bit staggering. It's a fairly well-known Smash character with obvious positives and shortcomings, not some dissertation.

The hurdle of research as a requisite is one I've only been imposed with in regards to Shantae, it's the strangest thing. She's not that complicated. All you really have to know is who owns her and where she stacks up popularity-wise to read the writing on the wall.

I mean, that spot also could be considered behind Sonic. Going by that I could reach and say it's meant for Tails flying behind Sonic to reference the iconic duo. But i won't :V

And besides, the additions of the 5 new characters from the direct showed they can move some characters apart. So looking for spots for characters is kind of useless now.
