Yeah, speculation is always about being accurate and realistic. It's a shame harmless creativity and imagination is forbidden in this thread.

The winner of the last poll was Tyranitar. Hitmontop and Slowking were evenly tied, but at least close to first place in comparison to the poor Ursaring. Just wanted to avoid a hibernation joke.

If there was one mini-game, mechanic, or in-game feature, what would you want it to be?

I would like a expanded vault similar to the Namco Museum games on the PS1. Imagine what Super Smash Bros. could do with each franchise. Example, Super Mario could have Peach's Castle as players can run around as Miis, buying Mario related accessories, displaying favorite trophies, interacting with actual NPCs like Toads, pink Bob-ombs, and maybe even piantas, see the franchise's history, and potentially lots more.

Call me a hypocrite for not playing FE at all or yell at me for adding more FE characters, but Tharja, Celica, Hector and Lyn should be added. Too much Fire Emblem characters, but they look so cool though! Tharja is even more provocative than Smash 4 Bayonetta as I said, but she has room for a very random yet good move-set.

When the primary reason Sceptile got support was due to being a Grass type starter for a recent release (OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire), it makes sense. Majority of the support went straight to Decidueye.

I feel like the same thing is going to happen if Generation 8 comes to quickly. If Generation 8 comes really fast, than Decuideye could be voted upon the next Generation Eight starter. So Decuideye fans can fear Generation 8 arriving too quickly, but I feel like they would not because a Smash for Switch game is always nice!

I'm pretty sure its going to come out for the switch, you can already plug your GC controller into the switch and it will be identified as a controller ( yes I know you can plug all sorts of controllers into the switch but those require very special adapters).

On the topic on female characters, just going to list some opinions on some.


Inklings with females as default is obvious, no quarrels here, they should be in Smash.

Dixie, I'd prefer K Room, but at this point I feel like Dixie is inevitable. I could live with her.

Daisy I could live with, I actually want her as a special all for Peach, so I want her playable to some extent, being unique is OK but I'd rather that time spent elsewhere

Pauline, I think give it a bit more time, see if she sticks around after Odyssey. I do like her though

Elma I feel her time has passed I've moved on to Rex.

Pyra/Mythra I want as a partner for Rex but while I could live with them by themselves, I don't think they should.

Adeleine is a NO

Impa would be cool if they could settle on a design, but I'd rather many other Zelda characters, same goes for Midna and Tetra. I don't want any Hyrule Warriors OC though

The Stylist from the clothing games I think could be a really fun and unique idea akin to Wii Fit Trainer, I'd certainly welcome her.

Don't want any more Fire Emblem characters

Ribbon Girl I don't think should get in over Spring Man, but I could see her as a quick development clone. No other Arms character should get in

Ashley would be fun, but don't see happening

Monita from Nintendo Land I'll mention ,because I'm running out of ideas, she'd be a weird choice, not really in a good way though I'm on. Especially since Nintendo Land is irrelevant now. But I don't see her happening anyway and I probably shouldn't have brought it up

Captain Syrup I don't see happening, not unless we get another Wario Land

Viridi and Medusa I don't see happening, but it's possible.

I don't think we're getting a Zelda champion. Picking one over the other would feel weird. And I don't like Mipha, but I love Urbosa

Toadette as an Alternative for Toad. Yes. But I'm actually not as convinced we're getting a Mario newcomer as others

I don't see Fiora, Melia or KosMos happening

EDIT: Isabelle! Duh! I actually see her happening definitely. She has a lot of exposure and even got in Mario Kart. Just don't know how she'd play. I lean towards semiclone but she could definitely be unique.

Pauline could combine her role in Odyssey and Mario VS DK: Mini.

Pauline can toss out Cappy (in the form of her hat in Odyssey). Cappy can be thrown, spun in place, jumped off of and tossed on an opponent. Landing on an opponent and returning allows Pauline to create a wind-up mini of the latest 'captured' enemy with Down B.

The mini could walk forward and either replicate Smashes and/or specials of the enemy it is based off of, allowing Pauline to be a summoner character.

Probably because were talking likely females, and being 3rd party (and indie) makes her less likely to begin with. Would personally love Shantae, though.

Mimikyu's not that surprising, but Primarina that high up? these voters got taste. I wonder how much the anime influenced this poll too, as everyone besides Primarina has appeared.
I wonder what this would mean for Smash. Is Rowlet a viable Pokemon? Have we all been sleeping on Primarina's chances here? tune in next week~

I love polls like these, even if the voters are just a speck of all pokémon fans. I sense the anime having somewhat of an influence, sure Rowlet could be high up as is, but its ditzy, comical personality in the anime must have its fans as well. The anime also helps Alolan Vulpix and (Dusk) Lycanroc. Mimikyu has been marketable and popular from the start (it doesn’t seem to show up in the anime as much as I thought tbh?) and Alolan Raichu might just have that Pikachu-effect.

Primarina so high is indeed surprising but I’m pleased (#TeamPopplio).

Ironic how people are praising Decidueye so much, and yet it's not even a top 10 (or top 6 in this case) contender in the popularity polls.

Anyway, if Rowlet were to get in as a Poke Ball Pokemon, I could see it using Leafage to damage nearby opponents.

Seems like the anime is a heavy influence for their popularity. I am a little surprised that Rowlet ranked 1st and Decidueye couldn't even make the list. Wonder if this means Ash's Rowlet will never evolve. It's also nice to see Primarina make the list. Even without this poll, I'd argue Primarina is the most popular final evolution starter worldwide (It's just too bad she doesn't have legs. Otherwise she'd make a great Smash character. )

Not going to take this poll too seriously, but it's still interesting to see.

Besides, I could actually see Rowlet being pick, or at least considered, as a playable character instead of Decidueye. I mean there isn't any rule that stops not fully evolved Pokemon (in fact they are the majority vs ).

Tapu Koko and Decidueye aren't on the list, but Incineroar ranked 13 (Although Litten ranked 7). Mimikyu and Lycanroc are ranked 2 and 5 respectively, and I know those two have a decent following for Smash.

There's still a fair amount of popular Smash picks ranked on this poll. I could see a few being considered if they add a Gen VII Pokemon.

Well that's your opinion.
After pages 362-363 I don't think I even need to explain why I can't bring myself to like Mimikyu, and I didn't even like it before that.
My mentality used to be "If it's not Decidueye I'll be really depressed" but now it's "I'd take anything over Mimikyu".

I'm sure that if you were told to give up on your most wanted character for reasons that don't even make sense, you'd be just as bitter as I am now. Doesn't help that I was in a bad mood that day (As I am now, for that matter).
Decidueye supporters already get enough **** for being another "bandwagon" and I do my best to ignore it, and I tried to open up to possibility of another Alola Pokemon being added (Incineroar and Lycanroc are examples, someone even brought up Golisopod once and I'd be down for that since it's my 5th favorite Pokemon), but I don't appriciate people who put words in my mouth.
And like I said... I disliked Mimikyu to begin with. Hell, when it was leaked it seemed like I was the only person who didn't like it, and my favorite Pokemon is a chandelier with a face.

I'd like Blaziken to be in smash, but I don't know how much love he would get considering he's already in pokkén tournament, but I think he would be a good addition to smash. Im also making a support thread for him, so be on the lookout.
